Title: Disappointing and Poor Value – Would Not Stay Again
Review:
We stayed at this property recently, and unfortunately, the experience fell far below what we expected for the price.
Several issues contributed to a consistently disappointing stay:
Excessive surcharges: €50 per day for a room upgrade with no option to change within the same category, €20 fees every time we dropped off or picked up our rental car, and €3 per item just to have something delivered to a pool lounger. It felt like a bait and switch setup, where the initial price looked reasonable but everything after was designed to extract more money.
Misleading descriptions: Our “garden view” room actually overlooked the staff car park and air conditioning outlets. Staff frequently gathered there to smoke and chat, leaving us with no privacy at all.
Poor service and inflexibility:
A jug of hot milk was spilled in my lap at breakfast. No apology or compensation was offered—I had to specifically request to speak with the manager.
I asked for decaf coffee pods for the in-room machine and was simply told no, with zero effort to accommodate.
No water was supplied in the rooms or gym—just tap water, which felt cheap considering the rates charged.
The gym itself was uncomfortable, with no water and odd jazz music playing throughout.
Lack of transparency: At checkout, we noticed fake items had been added to our bar tab, requiring time to get them removed.
Unhelpful policies: When I requested an iron to press a shirt
