This place is magic ❤️ Loved the beauty and landscape, service is nice and staff polite. Good location, nice intérieur. Place is really very very beautiful. Can be for family or better to come with bf/gf

We stayed in a ‘garden’ room with a bush to hide a view to the front access road. The main gardens, the pools and the sea views around the back of the resort are stunning. There is a choice of restaurants and service is generally good, although a little slow at times. The room was small, dark, dingy and old fashioned. The bath was too small to even fit a child. The shower door was ‘glued’ in place so access to the bath taps is difficult. There were no English channels on the TV. Our room was next to a service entrance and at night the gate was banging in the wind which kept us awake. The headboards also clattered as they were loose. There are 5 pools to choose from all nicely designed. There was only one hidden outside shower that we could find. The pool umbrellas are too small to provide sufficient shade and moving them is difficult as they have heavy concrete bases. We opted for half-board and the meals on the whole were ordinary, there is not enough variety with no children’s menu. There was no pepper on the table, you have to ask for it. It would have been better to have had a buffet, the salad bar was very basic. Breakfast was good and there was plenty to choose from no problems here. Overall the resort has all the elements of a 5 star, but for us it was let down by the little things e.g. no label on the lifts to show locations of the restaurants, no labels on the room phone for reception etc, no instructions about how half-board works etc.

I read most of the reviews on this resort and was nervous as they are so good or bad! Well my opinion and I usually stay at Four Seasons property is this resort is fantastic! You have to realize that your not only in Europe but on a island. The food and service was amazing. The resort is so clean and the front desk staff was so helpful. We checked in super early and they let us use there private room with a bathroom. After a 13 hour journey from the US all we wanted was to shower and have breakfast and that’s what we did! After that we went by the gorgeous pool and relaxed . It was a perfect way to start our vacation. This resort is attentive and decorated in a Sardinian manner and I loved it . It’s not old it’s the decor. It’s close to Porto Cervo and I highly recommend visiting the Waterfront and taking a boat to La Magdalena. I would recommend Colonna Resort and will be back .

Beautiful and relaxing place. The private beach is great and the many pools are fantastic. Can recommend the half board, as dinner on the Terrace is super. Professionel and friendly staff. Thanks for a great stay.

The actual property is amazing with multiple large swimming pools and beach all sculptured into a rolling landscape towards the sea The missing piece is the staff set up and especially the dinner restaurant Because of the geography and no easy access to alternatives for dinner the hotel restaurant is busy We tried it twice having had a total fail on a main on night one ( which was deleted from the bill) and selected different dishes the second time to check the range of options It’s not great food and it’s designed to smash out to feed the numbers with pretty bland results akin to a bistro if that ! The restaurant is so busy they can’t manage a central billing system and record the dishes and wine etc at your table on stickers ! The overall attitude is stuffy which is no way related to the product which is ordinary They have a shuttle bus to a nearby town but that stops later afternoon so you are stranded unless you have a car or take a taxi and make the effort My suggestion is head out for dinner and you will have a far better result ! Last the pool area is huge and the drinks ( no food service poolside) service is totally inadequate! Also they make the poor drinks attendants wear long black trousers in the heat which is madness! Bottom line : if they overhaul the attitude and raise the offering from the kitchen it’s fixed ! You have a beautiful property so why not make the most of it !

We were staying in Colonna resort for 3 nights and every single day had to experience some disappointment, it was stressful and annoying time for 420€ per day, rather than vacation. First of all the staff looked horrible at +34 degrees, the uniforms are very thick and EVERY single of their valets, staff that caries luggages were drowning in sweat. Second I asked for a receptionist if they have a vallet parking or should I park the car and she told me “yes they can if you have a problem”... No I don’t have a problem, I can park myself the car but I don’t think this should be an answer in a 5* hotel. We asked for an upgrade to the room with sea view for a few Ofcourse and we saw on the internet that they’re still selling those. The receptionist and after manager said that it has been a mistake, they don’t have sea view rooms, but on the Internet I could buy them, so what if I bought a room and then would come to the hotel? After all the trip you would down grade the person or it’s just a marketing trick to attract people or you keep those rooms for some special guests? Moreover, just after entering the room, bathroom was full of hair. We called room service 3 times, the reception said that room service was in but didn’t know what to clean. I will attach the pictures clearly showing hair. I don’t know how your cleaners don’t notice that there are pubic hair on the bath or it’s normal attribute for 420€ per night hotel? Next day morning we came to the breakfast that was very bland and boring to be honest. We asked to prepare one table for us and the waiter was doing that. As we came back with the food, another couple was sitting there, without food. We asked the waiter why there is someone at our table , it was the time where he could’ve just told for other guests that the table is taken but instead he just moved his hands as if there is nothing he can do and put us in a way worse table. Afterwards we were waiting 15 minutes to order coffee, after we have almost already finished the food, we got it. I don’t even want to continue. It’s a hotel I would never recommend to anyone, maybe for half of the price - yes, but FOR SURE not worth 1400€ for 3nights, also the touches are old and outdated. Would never come back, the staff for sure needs to increase their level of professionalism

Hotel does live to the standard one would expect. Hotel in general but rooms in particular would need significant capex to bring it up to something decent Pricing does not reflect the level of degradation of the hotel. Bad value for money. Really bad. Food at the pool restaurant was another disappointment Need to walk 4min to get access to the towel. Lack of shadow spots around the pool, lack of services around the pool (cant order drinks or food)...

We had both heard so much about this beautiful island and we were excited for this leg of our trip. After flying all day, we arrive at the Colonna Resort both tired and hungry. The arrival: we have 6 pieces of luggage and no one came out to help us with the large bags. This is pretty standard at any resort regardless of luxury or not. The room: when we got into our room I was overwhelmed by the smell (think musty combined with heavy cleaning products) and underwhelmed by the dated decor and rock hard mattress. By the way, the smell never really left the room during the 3 day stay. Lunch: starving from the trip into Sardinia we decided to check out the pool bar. The menu consists of paninis and very basic salads. I’d rate the food at the pool bar as edible and average. After a quick nap, we decided to head upstairs to have an easy bite. Did I mention already the mattress is extremely hard and is actually two single beds pushed together? Anyways, at dinner we were met by the maitre’d who explained we were not allowed to eat outside because we were wearing shorts. I understand having a dress code but a requirement for men to wear trousers during a heatwave in Sardinia to eat outside? Not sure where this was explained when we booked the hotel. You would expect some leniency because we had traveled in that day and my boyfriend did not pack trousers. After speaking with the management team, the answer was no - this seemed to be the common answer from the front desk during our 3 night stay. She also mentioned we could eat in our room? Did I just fly all the way here to eat my meals inside our depressingly room? We decided not to fight it but accept eating inside staring at ugly furniture instead of the beautiful view outside. How did I sleep? Terribly. The walls are paper thin so I was woken up to drunk guests screaming in the hallway. This is off season- I can’t even imagine how loud it will be during peak times. I already told you about the hard mattress. Also, my feet were hanging off the bed because it’s not a true king size bed. We enjoyed the next day and night because we spent the day exploring the beaches and beautiful beach clubs (not at Colonna Resort). After the second restless night of sleep, I decided the next morning to speak with the front desk. Their response was that nothing could be done and that they could add a 3rd bed turned horizontally to make the bed longer. Huh? How about changing the room? Nope. The maid later brought in a mattress topper to put on top of the two mattresses. 5 star service! Hotel decor and aesthetic: this is my opinion but the hotel needs to be refreshed. The decor is dated and stained (see attached picture). All the plants and flowers are plastic. The TV in the room is the size of my laptop screen. The only redeeming thing was the gym which was pretty good! You will see the 5 star rating plastered all over this hotel but I did not see any redeeming qualities of a 5 star hotel during my stay. Checkout: no help with our 6 bags (shocker!) and they charged us 16 euros per day for 2 waters? Whatever. I’m giving this hotel 2 stars because the servers and cleaners are very polite and friendly. The management staff needs to learn what service levels are required for a 5 star hotel.

Located in a superb spot with 5 pools, spa,beach with swimming platform, restaurant,bars and two boutique shops. Very well run with friendly and helpful staff. Clear rooms with lots of toiletries. Balcony with table and chairs. Plenty of sun lounges at this time if the year. Beach towels supplied. Suitable for families. Excellent breakfast. Dinner prices high. Unfortunately no other restaurants within walking distance. Very quiet at end of road. Car would be handy. Particularly recommend the spa. Visitors from Australia

What a beautiful place to vacation! The property is in an excellent location and exceptionally maintained. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and the meals are delicious. The only downside is that it is very far from the airport (€95 by taxi) and the closest town is a €25 taxi ride.
