MVC Eagle Beach

What I like best about this hotel is that the beach isn't crowded and is just short steps from the hotel, it's central location to Palm Beach and downtown, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and of course the reasonable cost for a brightly decorated, clean and comfortable room. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the high rise hotels, but it's an excellent choice if you want to enjoy the ocean, have a clean and comfortable room and be able to get around easily by taxi or bus. The bathrooms have recently been updated and Aruba Aloe lotion, shampoo, and conditioner are available as well as a blow dryer. There is a small refrigerator if you care to buy food at Superfoods, which is within walking distance. Several restaurants are within walking distance, including and Tulip at MVC, Las Ramblas at La Cabana, Passions at Amsterdam Manor, Screaming Eagle and Zuzuroh are a short walk away, and Chalet Suisse is next door.

Can't begin to describe how impressed we were with everything. The staff was amazing. The rooms were immaculate. Walkable to restaurants and shopping. The food and service at The Tulip was exceptional. If you want to relax on a beautiful beach that isn't crowned, this is the place. We have found our home for ALL future vacations. Can't wait to go back again later this year!

Christie is the front desk manager who was the sweetest most helpful young lady! The rooms are renovated, clean with a nice view on the second floor. The hotel is just across the street from the beach where you have free chairs and tiki umbrellas. The beach is not crowded and the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. The Tulip restaurant on the property was delicious and affordablewith a delightful staff. If you are looking for an expensive 5 star hotel instead of cozy and friendly you might want to go elsewhere.

Nice small hotel. Second Floor is very Nice because we see the ocean.

Older motel but well taken care of. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Best value for your $$$ on Eagle Beach. We will be going back for round two....

Clean and convenient however didn't have a tub and the room was small; only a kiddie pool.

Still our favorite place to stay in Aruba. Some people prefer the highrises but we want a little seclusion.

I suppose you get what you pay for. First, I want to emphasize that the people who work here are amazing! They're friendly and helpful and sweet. That said, the corporation/organization that designed the facility did no one a service. If you're driving, the entrance to the parking lot in the back yard is not marked from the road and therefore is not easy to find. I had to go around twice before I figured i tout. The pool.... it's really just a very small pond. It would have been better to use the space in the back (some sort of courtyard that seems unused) to expand the property and have a nice pool/lounge area..maybe include some live music once in a while. The second floor is only accessible by a winding metal staircase that would prove difficult for many to use, esp. with luggage. My bathroom was poorly designed. The shower stall doors were put on backwards, I think. The panel with a handle on the inside was permanent and the panel that moved had no handle on the inside, which meant if I closed it all the way then there was no way to open it. Very very dangerous! The main towel rack was placed so hight that I could only touch it with my fingertips! Unusable for me. I'm 5' 1, short, but still. The wifi was poor and not all the channels on my TV came through properly. Then there's the $8 continental breakfast! I did it each morning because I wanted coffee asap, but the menu each day was the same and very poor selection.

This is my 8th trip to Aruba, and first time staying at the MVC for a week. In the past, I've stayed in the high rise hotel area, and I can honestly say, the location of this hotel right on Eagle beach, is more peaceful and enjoyable. You don't have to fight other hotel guests for a shaded spot on beach and get out their at the crack of dawn to reserve a chair. The value of the hotel is perfect. It is not a 5 star hotel in amenities, but you definitely get more for than what you pay for. Rooms are clean, bright colors, and well-maintained. Privacy out the front window is minimal since you don't have a private balcony, which is a slight negative. But there is a table and chair set up outside to relax with a glass of wine and watch a perfect view of the sunset over Eagle Beach. Another inconvenience is not having an elevator to the second level. This is difficult when trying to carry up luggage around a winding staircase. I tend to bring a lot of clothes that need ironing, so to suggest an improvement, I would recommend having an iron in the room. There is WiFi available, but the service was very slow and not always connecting. On the positive, the best part of this hotel is by far the service. The staff is phenomenal. I was traveling to Aruba solo, for my birthday, and Chrissy, the owner, was so welcoming and very sweet. She left a bottle of wine in my room for my birthday and gave me a beautiful picture frame for a gift. Kevin and Theo, who both work at the restaurant were kind and very friendly. I got sick my last day of my trip, and had to postpone my return flight. Chrissy was very helpful in finding me a doctor to see, and brought me tea to my room, and checked-in on me to make sure I was doing okay. She went above and beyond. It's those little touches that makes a hotel outstanding. I will definitely be returning to this hotel and recommend this place to a friend.

The hotel is perfectly located in front of one of Aruba's less crowded (in low season at least!) beaches - Eagle Beach. The staff is very helpful and the value for many is excellent! We went there just to swim, walk and do nothing else under the sun and that was exactly what we've got! To see more fishes and more colorful ones, you must go to Boca Catalina Beach!

Just stay here, been to Aruba many times and this is a simple, nice place to stay with the best beach and a little place to eat at the hotel.

Very nice hotel with nice people. Was excellent except the restaurant who it was just OK. Thank.

A hidden gem of a hotel in Aruba, direct access to everything without being in the middle of it all. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. The beach is right across the road, and not a crowded area, but pretty. I would always come here again.

What makes this place so great is the personal attention from the manager, Christy. The location is on a quiet section of Eagle Beach, but convenient to Palm Beach and Downtown by a 10-15 minute ride by bus, taxi or car. Walking distance to Amsterdam Manor (where Passions restaurant) is and La Cabana (where Glitz Casino is), Suisse Chalet and other restaurants.

WE stayed at this property, for four nights and enjoyed it very much. We had a 2nd floor room, with a view of the ocean. The resort was perfect for us, as we had done many big all inclusive resorts, with our family and friends. Beautiful beach steps away with plenty shaded areas. Enjoyed a couple great margarita's, from the bar. The staff was great. wished we had purchased the breakfast package. we had to walk or drive to a Duncan Donuts, for coffee each morning. We would stay here again.

Staff was very friendly and somewhat helpful. Most of the cleaning staff do not speak English making it difficult to ask for certain items, etc. Continental breckfeast was ok, but nothing special for the price. They didn't provide any type of information at arrival, meaning brochures, rules of the hotel, etc, which made it difficult to find out what they offered or didn't offer. The Hotel was closed when we arrived late in the afternoon, and received our KEY to room from a bar tender, with limited instructions, only that we check in to main desk in morning. The room was adequate, however, the bathroom left much to be desired?????.. The lighting was very poor, couldn't see yourself in the mirror to shave, etc. the faucets were antiquated and rusty. The shower stall, didn't have any place to put your soaps or shampoos other than on the floor. The floor drain in the shower was not working properly, neither was the TV reception. They attempted to fix these items, however, we were asked to be at the room when either staff or repairmen would come, which was a great inconvenience... Bottom line, neither the problem with TV, which the repairman told us the hotel needed all new TV cables, nor the maid???? who was sent to fix the drain in the shower, could assist or help with.. A waste of our time??????? In addition, they were doing repairs at the resort during our stay, which is understandable, however, as they replaced cushions and headboards in the rooms, we were asked to be there when service people came????? Also construction was taking place during our visit with gate entries, etc, and did not bode well for being on the grounds during this time. I won't continue with other small items, but, would not recommend this Hotel to anyone, unless as with many people who've been there in the past, enjoy it for whatever reason, MOSTLY COSTS???? because, it's on the beach, except they let their beach employee also rent out chairs and beach huts to people visiting from cruise ships, leaving customers of the hotel to go to the beach early in the morning to reserve a hut and chairs, etc..... Overall, I would not return to this hotel, and hope you don't recommend it again in the future. We've been going to Aruba for the past 15 years, and although we saved money, the overall experience with this hotel was the worst. Thank you for your interest and understanding. Ralph Henault

Location was great .... walk across road to beach. Not a snorkel spot. Less crowed due to being on low rise hotel section which we enjoyed. Always found shade in mornings. Friday and Saturday nites, locals hang out and play loud music on beach area and race motorcycles in this area which was pain, but all other days are great. Must ask for fresh glasses if you want them, otherwise they will be rinsed out only. No coffee pot, but bartender was more than happy giving me hot water for tea morning and nite. Loved location (halfway between both areas we drove to). Basic hotel, but also basic in price. Would stay here again.

The rooms were clean, staff was great, and the beaches are always perfect... A+

The hotel was simple and very clean and the gardens were beautiful. What makes the hotel top notch is the staff and their attention to details. They made sure to call you by your name at every chance. This is one of the experiences that you can't wait to do again.

Quiet and quaint. On the most beautiful beach in the world. Christy was a lovely front desk person, very helpful with an award winning personality. Theo in the restaurant was very friendly and had my ice ready to go. Its a no frills hotel but has everything that you need. Very clean and the perfect location.
