We had a great stay at the Amsterdam Manor Resort Hotel. We were met by Petula on reception who was so wonderful and fun that we immediately knew we were in good hands. Passions on the Beach was a must for our 21st Anniversary and we enjoyed it greatly. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended and told Petula we would be back---Charles and Chris

First time visit to Aruba as a couple during the last week of September. Great weather: sunny and windy (very gusty at times). Only our last day was cloudy with rain. All staff are friendly, a beautiful beach is VERY close, and they do their best to take care of you both in-room and on-beach. We booked a Studio room as a couple which was adequate but for a longer stay would prefer next time to take an ocean-facing 1 bdrm suite. Since nightlife in the immediate area is lacking (which is what we preferred), would prefer more "living" space and a huge grocery store is walkable (±10 minutes inland). As a couple, you must try their nightly on-sand restaurant PASSIONS for at least one night of your vacation. For the rest of your stay you should plan ahead where you want to eat. Was not impressed with Mangos' dinner menu - though we did not try it for meals other than breakfast. Breakfast buffet is a good spread, especially if you eat a lot - though flies and birds are an issue. Pro-tip: never leave your plate unattended! For first time visit we were surprised to see that almost everything in the area, even up in the nightlife area closes around 10pm - more reason to have more living space if you're not an early sleeper but not a big nightlifer either. If your primary goal for a vacation is to lounge daily on a nice, calm tropical beach all day then this is the place for you. If you want adventure and tours and a busy itinerary then the high-rise area might be more for you.

Loved everything about this hotel. The tv didn't work but we didn't really need it...will definitely be back. I highly recommend it!

Needed a one nighter stay and chose here as I'd stayed there in years past. Was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the honeymoon suite complete with a nice bottle of wine for being an Orbitz VIP. Had the best night's sleep of my two week trip and some nice quiet time on the beautiful beach. Appreciated being able to access the beach facilities while waiting to check into my room and appreciated the late checkout as I had a later flight out the next day. Highly recommend. Quiet resort, beach not overly crowded like other nearby hotels .

There wasn't a day that they did not exceed our expectationsmFrom! The minute we got in they gave us rum punch as a welcome. The staff was amazingly friendly every single one of them no matter what they were doing. They made you feel like family. The food at mangos was fantastic fresh and different recipes. The landscape is absolutely beautiful and the best possible spot on the beaches. We decided to visit other hotels confirming what we knew that Amsterdam Manor was indeed the best place and better than the high rise hotels. We never had to fight for beach space ever like other hotels. Highly recommended however conflicted on wanting to share this prize spot!

My wife and I were debating whether to stay in the high rise area (Palm Beach) or the low rise area (Eagle Beach). We ended up choosing the low rise area primarily because we didn't want to fight the crowds. The Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort met all of our expectations in this regard. My wife and I would run up to Palm Beach each morning. I think she would like some of the amenities offered in the high rise area (coffee stands, smoothie stands, etc.), but you could tell how much more crowded this area was. Our biggest issue with the Amsterdam Manor was the smell coming off of the sewage treatment plant. In some reviews, some people said they never noticed it, but we certainly did. It wasn't there 24/7, but you certainly would notice it every once in a while with some days being much worse than others. We started moving to the left on the beach each day which helped some. This place would get 5 stars across the board if not for the smell. I would have a hard time actually recommending this hotel to a friend simply because of the smell.

Amsterdam manor in Aruba is a must stay, room was perfect, food was outstanding , the beach was pristine never crowded perfect! What sets this place apart though is the staff, they did everything possible to make your vacation one of a kind . I was so impressed that I already booked for next year . thank you to the finest staff on the island ray reynolds

My Family and I LOVED ARUBA and will definitely return and stay at Amsterdam Manor!!

Our room had a small well stocked kitchen (everything you need –plates, utensils, soap, hand towels, dishwashing sponge, etc.) with a small refrigerator, cooktop, and microwave. The Super Foods grocery store (be sure to take your own recycle bags as they charge for theirs) is within walking distance. Yes, there is a small road to cross to get to the beach from the resort but don’t let this detour you. The beach is stunning with powder white sand and beautiful hues of blue-turquoise water. The resort has its own free chairs and palapas on the beach and we never once had an issue getting a palapa. It was a great stay!

Great hotel on a quiet beach! Friendly staff, perfect location, had a great stay!

Just excellent stay with perfect not crowdedvbeach

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Superior Staff/ Customer Service. We were treated like royalty. Hotel is located right on one of the most pristine beaches in the world. Water sports available for purchase right on the beach. (avg cost: $70 USD per half hour) Happy hour at bar pool every day 5-6pm then again 9-10pm. Drinks are 2 for 1. Managers cocktail hour on Thurs night. Hosted drinks are $1 USD with complimentary appetizers. Mango's restaurant on site is AMAZING. Passion's on the beach is AMAZING. Stayed in a "standard studio". So roomy and comfortable. The queen sized bed was super comfy, high end quality linens and big fluffy pillows. Room amenities were abundant. Refrigerator, coffee pot, hot water/tea brewer, dishes, cooking vessels, microwave, toaster, two burner stove top. We cooked most mornings. Supermarket a very short walk so we were able to stock up at beginning of our vacation and had everything we needed. We are already planning our return visit. Probably this fall!!

I have stayed at Amsterdam Manor 20 plus times & wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. It's a great little hotel on the best beach in Aruba. The rooms are very spacious & all have kitchens. Two excellent restaurants, Mangos & Passions plus 2 daily happy hours at Horizions bar!! Because of its smaller size you will experience a special personal touch...everyone knows your name! And you will avoid the craziness of the high rise area. It's one happy hotel on one happy island!!

The staff was welcoming and friendly right from the beginning. My room was clean, modern and spacious. Free wifi in addition to a station of computers to use if necessary. I felt very safe and secure. I'm planning a return trip to Aruba and I won't be looking elsewhere...I'll be staying at Amsterdam Manor.

We booked this trip very last minute - and I'm so glad we chose Amsterdam Manor. The two bedroom suite was perfect - kids spread out, enjoyed the balcony a lot. Small touches like dispensers full of shampoo, lotion in the bathrooms and a drying rack on the deck were nice. We walked to SuperFoods that night and got fresh fruits and snacks - loved the kitchen. Mangos was great for breakfast. Wish they had a little more variety at dinner (their lunch menu is bigger). Used room service once for late eve pizza - was nice option. Passions on the beach was a perfect evening - highly recommend. Never waited for a hut on the beach - always available (At all different times). Nice area(s) that are roped off for swimmers - made me feel safe with the children. Kids loved the smoothies at the beach bar. They also loved the free WIFI that extended out to the beach. Pool is small but kids enjoyed - wish it was open past 8pm. Highly recommend using public transportation bus to downtown - fast, safe and efficient. All staff were kind, helpful and truly want you to enjoy your time on the island. One traveler tip - room might not be ready before 4pm so make sure you bring a small bag so you can use the changing room in lobby and head out to the beach right away. We will be back!

We were surprised at how small the hotel was. The location is perfect, just across the street from a really nice beach. Book here if you are wanting a little more quiet stay on the island. The beach is private for AM guests and it's really nice, no craziness or people trying to sell you stuff. There likely won't be college kids drunkingly blaring music and stammering around here. AM still has a sweet happy hour so you can turn it up. You are about a mile south of the "strip" mega hotels, casino, and restaurants. The staff was really nice and informative about the island. They all show up at the Thursday happy hour so make sure to go there! You will probably need a car, bus, or taxi to get to nightlife. My only complaint was the room sizes are a bit small if you get the single king option. Oh and there are a lot of arses from Boston that go to Aruba, they were arrogant and drunk as hell.

very clean, close to everything . the staff was superb. its small, but adequate. no spa only a few restaurants but they were both excellent the rooms have a small kitchenette and there is an excellent large food store within walking distance

Taxi rides about $8 to everywhere on island. Great staff. Quiet facility.

The hotel is a small size, not a high rise, so we felt our service was very personal, we met with the concierge numerous times without waiting. Eagle beach is directly across the street and is beautiful. Buses can take you south to shopping "downtown" or north to shopping and restaurants near the high rise hotels, so convenient to everything.

Everything about ou stay was wonderful. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suit, Richard the bartender at beach was excellent and Peter was excellent at pool side bar, plus he sings! Had dinner at Passions on Saturday night, it was spectacular! The ambiance and sunset were amazing! Amy was our waitress, very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this resort to all!

Dear Rob, It is very rewarding to see that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the resort’s great location and the comfort of our accommodations and amenities. We were pleased to read that you appreciated the friendly and professional service provided by our staff. We appreciate the feedback you provided us, and are sorry to hear that your stay with us was not to your satisfaction. It is correct that we were experiencing a very slight odor from the plant. Although completely beyond our control, we do apologize for the inconvenience. We can only hope, that this experience will not be a deterrent for you to visit us again in the future, as it happens very rarely. Regards, Charity M
