The Space.
Living Room & Entertainment Room:
Floor-to-ceiling windows frame stunning mountain views from the expansive living room, complete with a double-sided fireplace for cozy evenings together.
The adjoining entertainment room, tucked behind double doors, has everything you need for a fun-filled weekend, including massage chairs, a large smart TV, games, books, a mini fridge, and even an arcade game. There's also a bonus ping-pong table in the garage. With so much to enjoy, you may never want to leave.
Kitchen & Dining Room:
The gourmet chef's kitchen features high-end appliances, including an induction stove and steam/rotisserie ovens, along with everything you need to prepare anything from a decadent dinner to a simple breakfast.
Three counter stools provide a comfortable spot for company while cooking, while the dining table seats 8.
Primary Suite:
Separate from the other bedrooms, the primary suite is a retreat within a retreat. The spacious room features a comfortable king-sized bed with high-quality linens, a dresser, desk for remote work, and television.
The spa-like ensuite bathroom features a large vanity with dual sinks, a fully tiled walk-in shower, and a large soaking tub—perfect after a long day on the slopes. The real treat is the dry sauna, offering the perfect place to unwind and relax.
Public Goods bath products and large Vidori towels from Standard Linen are provided. Additional comforts include radiant floor heating and a mini-split AC.
Second Bedroom:
The bedroom off the hallway features a comfortable queen-sized bed, dresser, dual nightstands with reading lights, and a decorative-only Kiva fireplace. Turn on the candles for a little extra Southwestern ambiance.
Second Bathroom:
Located in the hallway between the two bedrooms, this bathroom features a large vanity with dual sinks, tiled mirrors, and a beautiful tiled shower. Just like the primary bath, Public Goods bath products and large Vidori towels from Standard Linen are provided.
Third Bedroom:
Found at the end of the hallway, this large guest room has a king sized bed, nightstands, reading lights and dresser. The punched tin lamp and (decorative only) Kiva fireplace bring that New Mexico charm.
Loft Bedroom & Rooftop Patio:
At the top of the stairs is a loft bedroom with a twin-over-full bunk bed, kid bedding and a powder room.
The rooftop patio offers the most uninterrupted view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and the stars they guard. Cozy up on the comfy sofa and unwind.
The Casita
The casita studio provides the perfect space for a couple who would appreciate a little extra privacy while traveling. It is furnished with a queen-sized bed, nightstands, reading lamps, a dresser, and a chair. There's also a smart TV for some binge-watching—just bring your own log-ins.
The ensuite bath has a tub/shower insert and is stocked with our standard Public Goods products and large, cozy Vidori towels.
The kitchenette is minimally but thoughtfully stocked with a coffee maker, hot water kettle, hot plate, microwave, and toaster. Together, these amenities make the studio a comfortable getaway for guests who want a little extra space and privacy.
Backyard:
Soak up the star-filled skies from the private hot tub, or fire up the grill for a backyard barbecue in the large fenced yard. A Solo Stove fire pit and comfortable Polywood chairs create a welcoming place to gather, relax, and connect.
Under the covered porch, there is seating for 8 at the iron table, along with party lights for those memorable alfresco dining evenings.

Attention to Detail:

✓ Cleanliness is a top priority for us and we pride ourselves on welcoming you into a sparkling clean home! Our cleaning fee is passed through, meaning that the entire sum is paid to our meticulous cleaning team.

✓ Hot tubs can get quite unsanitary. But not ours! Our hot tub is professionally sanitized. Please check the guidebook on how to use the hot tub and what you can do to help us keep it clean.

✓ We provide premium linens for each guest.

✓ We provide complimentary bath essentials, including Public Goods body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and lotion.

✓ We provide basic paper goods and consumables - paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, dish soap, sponges, laundry detergent and dryer sheets.

✓ A new LG washing machine and dryer along with an ironing board and iron are available for your use during your stay.

✓ By using the hot tub, you acknowledge that using the hot tub involves inherent risks, including risk of injury or illness, and you agree to use the hot tub at your own risk. You will follow all instructions provided in the guidebook and hold harmless the property owner from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your use of the hot tub. While maintained by a professional weekly service, guests are asked to dispense one tablespoon of shock per person per use to help maintain water clarity and cleanliness.

✓ Natural materials including flagstone, rock and gravel are inherently uneven and can shift over time. Landscaped areas are not perfectly level and may pose a tripping hazard. Please watch your step.

Other Things to Note:

Our property is located within a boutique community of 6 homes. El Prado is a prized location, and we are aware that over the next year or so another 6 homes will be built further up the hill. Given large lot sizes, we don’t expect significant noise. But guests will see and hear construction during daytime hours. Based on our experience, the builder and his team are extremely professional.

While we employ a preventative pest control service, the property is surrounded by natural sagebrush that many critters call home, including rodents, snakes, and coyotes.

Like many homes in northern New Mexico, we enjoy radiant heat but do not have air conditioning. For those rare hot days, each bedroom and the living room are furnished with high quality Minka Aire ceiling fans to keep guests cool and relaxed.

Please note that our cleaning fee is “pass through”, meaning the entire sum is “passed on” to our amazing cleaning crew to support high quality work and a living wage.

As hosts, we are…
- Dedicated to hosting you and will not cancel a confirmed reservation for any reason.
- Committed to the property being as described in the listing.

As guests, you will…
- Adhere to community quiet hours between 10pm and 7am.
- Help keep the home clean by removing all shoes before coming inside.
- No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property.
- Ensure that all dogs are listed on the reservation. A $150 fee will be applied to reservations with unlisted dogs.
- Wash and put away your dishes and glassware after use.
- Remove all food from the fridge, freezer and cupboard when checking out.
- Do not touch the art and return furniture to its original position if moved.
- Spa at your own risk. Children must be supervised by an adult.
- Ensure all fires are extinguished. Please do not pour water into the cone firepit (it will rust!)
- Remember that no parties or event are allowed.
- Clean up after your dogs. There is no poop fairy!
