Discover the Cactus Studio, a peaceful retreat tucked into a quiet community at the mouth of the canyon leading to Taos Ski Valley—just 15 minutes away. Perfect for adventurers and culture lovers alike, you’re only 5 minutes from Arroyo Seco and 20 minutes from Taos, with its world-renowned art, food, and charm.

This southwestern adobe-style studio is one of three uniquely designed spaces on a private property, offering comfort, style, and spectacular mountain views.

The studio is located in a quiet, rural community at the base of the canyon to Taos Ski Valley.

4-wheel-drive is recommended to access the property via dirt road. Snow tires are additionally recommended in winter.

The property has a keypad lock that allows you to come and go without having to worry about keys. Each guest is provided a unique code during their stay for enhanced security. Please note that the front door access is shared between this studio and two others. Guests from all three studios have front door access, but only you have access to your private studio.

From road 150 headed towards the canyon turn (sharply) left onto road 230. Follow 230 until you see the 'Hacienda del Valdez' sign on your right. This is a dirt road and 4-wheel drive is required. Follow the road up the hill. The condo building is on your right (the 3-tiered building). Park in front of or to the right of the building and follow the middle red staircase to Unit 10. Your studio is one of the three located inside.

- Cell service is limited; save your door code and WiFi info offline prior to arrival.
- The studio is accessed via two flights of stairs—worth it for the incredible views!

Comfy Studio

We stayed a couple of night at this property and really enjoyed ourselves. The bed and couch are quite comfortable and it was nice to have all of the streaming services provided on the TV and Wi-Fi available. If you want to do cooking, there is only an air fryer. But that is clear in the description, so it was not a surprise. Overall, it was a great experience. We would stay again and recommend to others.
