Better in winter than summer
I think this would be a great winter rental. There is no air conditioning and 95 degree days are a little oppressive. In general it is a great place to stay.

Cozy yet roomy nature getaway!
We had a wonderful stay. Pictures accurate &instructions were clear. We wanted a brief 3-day weekend getaway with our dog to enjoy nature and this was perfect!
Pros: very clean, has all you need to enjoy your stay, cook, entertain yourselves, etc. All kitchen needs were more than met, lots of board games and even a piano! Furniture very comfortable & you can sleep two 5'6" adults comfortably on the downstairs couch (I tested, I approve!), very easy to get to. Very quick replies to questions in advance.
Tips: It's a Keurig but we brought ground coffee...oops! But there were a lot of extras there, yay! There's no A/C, so enjoy the downstairs; we hung out there mostly and were very comfortable. Look for walking paths & such ahead of time. If you can stay longer, do it! You'll save overall when you factor in costs for cleaning, fees, etc., so you'll get more bang for your buck on a longer stay. Driveway is steep so consider that if booking in winter. You have to drive your trash to a local place (took us no more than 5 mins on our overall drive back so not a worry), but read instructions when you check in so that you know the days of the week they are closed in case it's your departure date.
Suggestions: Watch boiler-plate instructions in the home manuals (there is no dishwasher), leave local walking path info (we had no idea where to head out around there), put legal-ese into one PDF vs a ton of separate VRBO emails. Not big, but thought I would mention. Loved our stay!!!!
