Nice hotel. It was given 4 starts on Hotwire - I believe it deserves three. The Good * Nice and helpful staff. * Good value (even for 3 star rating) * Very nice breakfast (5 star quality) The Bad * I was not told breakfast was not part of rate (although I could have expected this). I was never told that having breakfast was expensive (over USD 20), and it showed as "upsell" on my invoice (not sure I feel good about being "upsold" - particularly as all that happened was somebody noting my room number). * Although I created chocolate smudges on my bedsheets, the sheets were not changed for 2 subsequent nights (and I forgot to ask during daytime and did not want to deal with changes at night-time). The Ugly The bathroom was freezing in my room (on top floor). Having grown up in the Netherlands I recognize this is not uncommon. That said, any hotel that strives for 4+ stars should find solution to heat bathrooms in accordance with global standards.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet, The brakfast had a lot of choise fresh and tasty. The Stuff is friendly and always disponible in case of questions. The fiew over The Rhein-River form Breakfast-Room is just grat
The building looks nice from the outside, lounge and restaurant as well. My room was designed in the sixties. Bathroom extremely cold, almost same size than the bedroom. No heating in the bathroom and ice cold tiles on the floor. Furniture seems to be very worn. Wardrobe doors hard to move. Location far away from everything. You need a car or you walk ca. 2km from the station. Breakfast Dutch average. TV and Wifi very good. Due to good alternatives close to the station, won't recommend. Especially because the price is too high for what you get.
Friendly staff with excellent room service. Very clean room with beautiful view on Rijn river. Short distance to town centre, but very quiet location. Car park under CCTV. Pets accepted and warmly welcomed.
Friendly staff, good restaurant , nice room. Very convenient if you want to visit CWGC site at Oosterbeek. Good position by the side of the River Rhine. Worth paying a little extra and selecting "a room with a view".
Stayed one night in Arnhem, walked to the town centre approximately 10 minutes away for a good selection of modern eateries at reasonable prices for dinner. Had breakfast at 18 euros per head the following morning. The room was clean and functional and you could glimpse the Rhine flowing past from the window. I'm sure in the summer it would feel a whole lot more welcoming as a location, as it is by the banks of the river. Would book again if ever I re-visit Arnhem.
Went for 2 nights whilst watching The Rolling Stones at the Gelredome and wasn't disappointed. Firstly all the rooms face the beautiful river, and our rooms were functional and pleasant, the only minor downside was a minor rip in curtains (and that's being picky!) The bed was comfy and overall the room was modern and comfy. There is a restaraunt and they serve a continental breakfast with choices of meats and cheese, breads and cereals along with the usual fry up. I'd recommend the scrambled eggs and pancakes with bacon! The staff were very helpful in pointing out how to get into the main strip for Arnhem, giving us a map and directions. It's a 15 minute walk into the town, where you can find some lovely Cafe culture and cool bars. If you're going to a gig like we were, you are about 15 mins drive from the Gelredome, and the local bus station will take you straight there for 5 euros. Overall it was a lovely hotel and would go back.
We had a problem with out booking which was 50% our fault and 50% the hotels fault but with the great help given to us it was sorted out by Janneke. We had a beautiful room on the 3rd floor with a large balcony over looking the river. The room was large with a bath and shower above, the bed was comfortable. The bar area was a nice place to have a drink with a nice ambience. Good assortment of food for breakfast and lovely views over the river. It's about a pleasant 20 minute walk into town. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Mattresses are firm but not too. Good pillows Good duvet, not too warm Shower is good although in a narrow bathtub Bathroom is outdated (but it is clean and it does the job) Restaurant is good, certainly for a hotel. Vincent is an excellent waiter Breakfast is good even with eggs made to choice Splendid view over the river
