We found this hotel by chance when searching for hotels in Florence. Once we saw how picturesque it looked, we knew we had to make a detour to Cortona on our way to Florence just to experience it...and we're SO glad we did! We arrived on a day when they were having tea time in their garden area and they had quite the spread--pastries and desserts galore. What a great start! Although it was too cold while we were there to lounge by the pool, it was beautiful to look at. The service was phenomenal and our room was so cozy. We opted to have dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was so delicious. We travelled for our honeymoon and they had champagne waiting for us in our room as well, which was a nice touch. Can't wait to go back someday!
Like good a good Tuscan wine the Villa di Piazzano improves with time This was our second visit to the Villa di Piazzano and we were WOW, WOW, WOW'ed all over again. The tree lined approach hides the breath taking beautiful buildings and gardens. The autumn leaves played their part and added to the picturesque surrounds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Always ready with good advice on where to find the hidden gems, some well of the beaten track. The food and wine only complimented to our stay. I would like to congratulate the owners and staff on presenting their guests with a unique dining experience every time, it is Michelin star quality. My wife and I spend a wonderful time at the Villa and we are already planning our next trip. The Villa di Piazzano and Tuscany have stolen our hearts (again.)
Beautiful retreat in Tuscan countryside. Had a wonderful stay, the place is amazing, the staff are super polite & helpful and their little touches and attention go a long way! Can’t wait for our next trip back!
We spent there just one night and it was great. The staff was giving us all the attention that we needed. The villa is really close to Cortona and is surrounded by idyllic landscapes. The breakfast was very very very rich and delicious. You can’t be disappointed with this place.
Returning to the villa again, but this time it was Autumn instead of Spring. Equally as picturesque, the garden at the villa was spectacular and the colour changes of foliage, especially the tress from day to day was a constant surprise, an artists paradise. The food at the restaurant was Michelin quality. The staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful, it was like visiting family. The Villa, nestled in the valley is a must see and do, close to Cortona, a village full of history and splendid buildings. We had a very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable stay, riding bikes available for use from the villa and walking the country side. An evening was spent at the villa in their cellar sampling reds with the local Sommelier who was very informative and passionate, so much so I've given up whites. We cannot recommended the Villa highly enough and we hope to return again in the future. It certainly is a must do on your trip to Tuscany, well worth the visit and you'll want to return against in the future. At the end you'll be sorry to leave like we were.
As soon as we arrived at the Villa di Piazzano we immediately felt relaxed, it's a beautiful hotel with welcoming staff and amazing food, the grounds our also stunning, we had a fantastic walk in the fields before we sat down to a fantastic dinner, it was so good we stayed again on our way home.
after travelling through Rome and Tuscany by car for nearly three weeks, we had guessed we would be ready for a little r & r. The moment we pulled onto the long entry lane to Villa di Piazzano, we knew we were in the perfect place. It is stunningly beautiful. The staff was warm and welcoming. Our room was large and comfortable. All appointments were five star. We enjoyed a wine tasting in their wine cellar our first night, great fun and a charming host. Made friends with a few couples and we had dinner in the Villa's restaurant. Service and food were outstanding throughout our stay. We would gladly return for another visit.
My daughter and I were extremely happy with the service and accommodations at the Villa di Piazzano. The venue and the surrounding landscaping is, "Bellissimo!" We took a cooking class with a local chef who was wonderful! I am not a cook, yet I feel I learned a great deal. It was so much fun! The service was exceptional! The experience we both had was amazing and one of the highlights of our visit to Italy!
Beautiful setting. Excellent service by all of the staff. We were welcomed and greeted by name each day. Food was excellent in dining room. Breakfast was included in our package each day. Antone made beautiful cappuccino art each day.
The entire experience was delightful, the Villa was enchanting and the staff/service was beyond perfect. The restaurant was superb with Alicia as manager and Gina & Victor with their great service and attention. The front desk staff and concierge took great care to help us plan our Tuscany excursions. This could not be a more perfect place to center our trip in Tuscany from. It was hard to leave the Villa for our daily trips into the countryside, but it was always a welcoming return each day. I can't give Villa di Piazzano a a more exceptional rating. Jack & Karen James
