No warm water in the shower, poor breakfast, window blocked by a panel, noisy bedrooms, poor wifi signal in the bedroom. Big room but not nice. People drinking inside the pool and no control from the hotel personnel. The best: we stayed just for 1 night.
We had a nice time at the hotel. They gave us a nice size room with two beds. You had to run the shower awhile to get hot water for a shower. But that was ok. They had a nice breakfast every morning set up at 7 am till 10 am. After a day of running around the area visiting family it was nice to come back to a clean room and relax by the pool. We did enjoy dinner out side by the pool in the evening. My grandson loved being in the pool every evening. They kept the pool nice and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful! I would stay there again!
The hotel is poor at best. No hot water in the sinks / towel bar fell off wall / only one electrical outlet in the room / no windows in the room. Restaurant is closed for remodeling? The pool is beautiful- solar heated so it only gets so- so warm. I think we were the only guests in the hotel. Parking in the rear of the building is a long walk to the room. Internet doesn’t stay connected when your device goes to sleep. A/C at least works
Stayed here one night before going to Cueva. The room was totally unacceptable. Worst stay ever in a cheap hotel (and I have seen some bad ones). There was no window, no light source other than 2 fluorescent drop ceiling lights (1 in bathroom). The king bed had ONE sheet (was given another after asking) and 2 pillows. I guess some folks sleep directly on the mattress or use the bed spread as their only cover. Yuck! Furniture was very sparse and beat up. There was NO hot water. Two towels and one washcloth only. The worse part was the smell. Very musty and the a/c unit only made it worse. There were 3 air fresheners clipped onto it. Didn’t help. The only way to make the place smell less was to lower the temp to 60. No restaurant on site. Not anything close by either. We really debated just leaving, they had our money already 😕but we didn’t know where to go. In the end I wish that we had just stayed in San Juan and did the drive out to the cave and back in one day. It only took a little over an hour each way. Do NOT even consider staying here.
Stayed here b/c of price and 3 1/2 star reviews on yelp. Should have checked TripAdvisor, which has it at 2 1/2 stars. This is NOT a 3-star hotel. It is a 1-star if that. Pros- friendly front staff. Cons-thin walls (heard our neighborS) conversations clearly, including their coughing, and sneezing); thin beds ( comparable to a pull out mattress), thin somewhat stained sheets and covers; the shower never got warm even for my daughter, who showered after me. I thought I had turned the knob the wrong way but freezing water the other way, so sadly no mistake. The only light in the room is an overhead fluorescent office-like light. No windows in room. Felt like a prison. Hard to say if it was clean, everything too old to know. Complementary breakfast is miserable - toast, cereal, not real orange juice, and coffee. I think they are trying their best with what they have, but for us, next time we will spend a bit more and stay somewhere else.
Very accessible, friendly staff and Great air conditioning. Could be better, while overall clean, their is a scent of mold in the rooms, and the tub has obviously not seen a good cleaning in a long time...
We stayed at the Arecibo Inn on our trip around the island. This hotel was clean, the staff was great and having a restaurant and bar on site was a plus! Located on a busy thruway, it was an oasis that we enjoyed. The rooms were clean. We will definitely visit again! The Adventures of Butch and Mabel continue...
Pros: WiFi, A/C, Cable, Clean Cons: No hot water, old furniture, not secure parking. This is my second time staying at this hotel for business purposes. The hotel is clean, and the price is reasonable. Went to the restaurant and the prices were high considering the food portions and quality. I know small cafeterias with better food and for less. Rooms could use a renovation. My main issue was that there is not hot water. Basically it’s freezing cold or cold... If you need to stay for a night or two is ok, but I do not recommend it for long stays specially with the hot water issue.
The room it's not clean. Mattress have black spots. Dirty bathroom and bad service. I left with my family the first night because I had an allergy. it is horrible!!! I do not recommend it. The manager in turn does not speak with the clients to confirm or at least to apologize.
We booked here last minute due to our AirBnB not having hot water. They only had one room left, it was downstairs, not too close to the pool. Even though we were a considerable distance from the pool, the chlorine smell permeated the entire first floor hallway, including our room. On top of that, the only "window" in the room had some sort of metal covering over it, so we really had no window. I'm usually not scared staying in hotel rooms, but having no escape route in case of a fire really worried me. The only reason I'm not giving it a "1" is because we were able to get the hot shower we were seeking. Overall, I would say pass on this place.
