Nice waterfront on Lac Leman with promenade. Flowers everywhere. Bathroom is very small. Room is in keeping with a 3 star hotel. Parking is a problem. You are on your own. No valet service and no garage.

Lovely spot by the lake and pleasant hotel

I booked this hotel as I had business meetings in Geneva for a couple of days. Geneva seemed completely sold out of vaguely reasonably priced hotels (and I mean anything under €500 per night). This hotel was about the nearest I could get to Geneva on a decent train line without completely blowing the budget. The greeting when I arrived was great - very patient with my halting French. The room was nice enough (slightly disappointing view given the proximity to the lake). I found the bed somewhat uncomfortable the first night and couldn't work out why. The second night I worked it out - the floor of the room was sloping and thus the bed was too. Very odd experience sleeping at an angle! The bed itself was comfortable. No milk for the coffee provided meant I had it black with sugar which wasn't too bad but I would have expected milk to be provided. Breakfast was truly continental with no cooked options that were available or that I was offered so a croissant and yoghurt sufficed. The location was lovely with stunning views of the lake and Mont Blanc right outside the front door. I was also rather shocked at the price of food (I think not specific to this hotel but the area in general. What I thought was a bit on the expensive side for the plat du jour with salad and desert turned out to be the lunch price (with no indication that that was the case) and the price nearly doubled for dinner. Economising on food when travelling isn't my idea of fun.

Charming auberge at the lake of Geneva

This is a lovely hotel with lots of character, right by the beautiful lake of Geneva. The location is very quiet, yet within walking distance of the lovely old part of town of Morges. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean, some have pretty views over the small harbor and the lake. The hotel has a very good restaurant with attentive service and wonderful views over the lake of Geneva. We come here regularly to spend a night on our way to the south of France and have always enjoyed our stay.

Cozy and well appointed

Remarkable place with friendly staff, although they seem to get confused with the pre-paid reservations made through hotels.com They asked me for payment on site before verifying that everything was already paid for. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, almost luxurious in their appearance. Lots of spiderwebs (and spiders) on the windows. Weird.

Cosy, relaxing hotel by the lake

I've stayed here a few times -- it's handy because it's near Geneva but also has a mainline railway station. It's a place to come back to. The hotel is traditional but has decent modern bathrooms and a good, relaxed restaurant. The location and views are exceptional as it's right by the lake

Wonderful views of Lake Geneva and the Alps

Excellent Bed and Breakfast on the Lake Geneva and right across Mont Blanc as the name implies - from the hotel window you cannot really see Mont-Blanc as there is the small port with sailing boats in-between, but you can see the lake and other Alpine peaks across, while the promenade in front allows superb views of Mont-Blanc itself; superb breakfast starting early (6.30) which was really useful as on the last day we had to leave by 7.15 for the airport, friendly hotel staff, speaking English and helpful (room has only narrow plugs, so our converter didn't fit, but got one complimentary from the hotel); the room was very comfortable and cool looking, best beds in a hotel in a long while; paid with US credit card without problems - the room wasn't prepaid just reserved - while we parked for free on the quai in front as overnight is free after 6.30 pm until 8 am and the hotel gave us a permit for the 2 extra hours allowed by the town, so we could stay until 10 am when we left for our trip in the region; the promenade is excellent and quite long, we went some 20 minutes on it and it was still going, while downtown is next street so to speak and the Morges castle near the hotel; car accessibility easy, though all is one way so if you leave the quai and want to come back, you have to go around downtown which is pedestrian only, but all is close anyway Highly recommended and would stay here or at another Romantik hotel (get the free hotel booklet with all!) anytime.

The Place to Stay in Morges

A beautiful old hotel located on the waterfront of a charming small city. The room we booked was their most inexpensive yet it was nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed. Small bathroom however and a shower but no tub. Although we did not have a lakefront room our room on a side street had a view nonetheless of Lake Geneva.

You are paying the location. Rooms are tiny and not superclean. Plastic shower in the bathroom Mattress poor quality or old, but should replace them. haven't tried breakfast, but it was 25CHF Staff was friendly and nice.
