My Wife and myself were with a party of 32 staying for 3 nights. We couldn't fault anything about this hotel. It is perfectly placed in the centre of the picturesque town. Also convenient for trips to Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent. Lovely food, lovely staff and lovely rooms. I would definitely use again.

I stayed just for a business trip. The hotel in nerbay the center, just a minute. small supermarket next to the hotel. Quiet place, both shopping street, historical center and small streets with restaurants nearby. I just recommend not to walk from the railwaystation (local advice), walk is nice, however, long for me especially with a luggage. But local people are used to do it. Room was nice, well equipped, staff helpfull, very good breakfest. I can recommend

The Novotel is famed for its burgers and these are well advertised. Colleagues who have eaten them attest to their quality. But the stand outs for me are the Flemish beef stew and the filet mignon. Both superb and reliable.

I have been stayed at this hotel since 2011 almost every year for business. Hotel had renovated its rooms and getting more nice rooms. Rooms were clean and feel rested after the meetings. Hotel is in very conveninet location, next to the market and have a chance to walk in the city.

Checkin was quick - did have a bit of trouble with lift as have to put key card in to make it work but got used to it! Room was fine - clean and tidy and had very good night's sleep. Toilet is in a different room to the bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful - sausage, tomatoes, eggs, bacon, cereals, cheese/ham etc. Bit disappointed that there were no pancakes on my final morning as I did enjoy those! All in all a good hotel right in the centre of everything and would stay again.

This hotel offered a nice experience. The personnel was friendly and helpful. The room was newly refurbished and clean. Nice ambiance in general with a proper combination of color and lights. We had quiet and peaceful nights. The breakfast buffet was good, with plenty of items to choose from. Everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly. The only three things that could be better are 1. the shower cabin is extremely small, 2.the paid parking underneath the hotel is way to expensive 3. the selection of TV channels are very limited.

We arrived late at night. The gentleman on the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. I mean there was an issue with our room but he was more than happy to help. But that ends there. The next day it was different staff on reception and they didn't have a clue. Asked about bus prices and the lady said "I don't know, get on the bus and ask them". I sure staff should know how much was a bus. Then I asked another gentleman at the front desk about cab- approx price and he said "I don't know, you would find out when you get in the cab". Since then I haven't bothered with the front desk as they don't seem to know anything. I would think they would know basics but I guess not. The room itself was clean and the maids cleaning the room were nice. I wouldn't stay here again because I don't think it was worth what I paid especially with unhelpful staff on front desk.

Beware hotel does not honour advance purchase rates, front desk staff do not listen just demand extra payment. Very disappointing and will actively avoid Novotel properties if their policy is not to honour advance purchase rates and conditions.

The hotel is located in the inner-city of Mechelen and therefore a perfect start for to discover Mechelen. Modern and clean rooms, free WiFi offer. The Novotel provides family rooms, where 2 rooms can be connected via an intermediate door. Very friendly personal. Tip: try out the Gourmet Bar located in the hotel. It offers great food, especially the burger.

I stay here often on business. I've always found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Rooms are on the smallish side with separate WC and Bath but clean and adequate. No bottle opener/ wine opener available so bring or buy one if you are going to buy a bottle from the supermarket next door. Location is fantastic with supermarket, shops, restaurants and the "walking street" literally steps away.
