This was a lad's cycling trip for 2 nights in April. The hotel is central to the pleasant town centre and we walked to every restaurant. The staff were its strong point, especially Bloem the receptionist who went out of her way for us. As did the male receptionist who was very helpful. The hotel is small but ok and the adjoining restaurant was a real find. The place needs a little TLC in some areas. I suspect it's mid-refurb. The underground car park was no good for any but the lowest cars but great for bikes. There is lot of good parking nearby. Overall, a good find and would go again.

This hotel is in desperate need of renovation. Smelly, stained carpets, worn furniture, limited accommodations and generally unpleasant to stay in. Prices are high compared to the accommodations. No restaurant or room service offered. Hot breakfast is provided with a hearty charge. Elevator is very small and felt unsafe.

Very old hotel. Walls paper thin. My heat did not work the entire time. I was constantly told a mechanic would come but never showed up. Breakfast was average. Carpet old and full of stains. If this was a personal trip I would have complained more but just dealt with it. The person I was traveling with on another floor had a better room without carpet and heat worked.

Checked today in this hotel which was before an Alba hotel and hence, nothing changed except the price. 165€ without breakfast for a hotel that needs a total renovation. The elevator looks worse than a maintenance elevator Hallway walls were scratched and very dirty The bathroom was so small that you could not move around A big rip off

The hotel is based right in the centre of Mechelen. So easy access to restaurants. However parking is a bit challenging, as their own parking is having access to cars with max height of 1.6m. So lots of new cars will not fit in. There are some garages nearby (100m), however when raining it is not very convenient. Probably Novotel nearby has better parking access. The hotel itself is basic. Room i had on the fifth floor was ok. Nothing special though. However there was an annoying fridge in my room, which woke me up every time it turned on with lots of noise. So i did not experience a undisturbed night. The elevator was a bit strange though, as it stopped functioning when i was there at the topfloor. However after 5 minutes it started to work again. Not something you would like to experience when being inside it i imagine. Breakfast is ok. Nothing exceptional. Basic buffet with the usual bread and cereals. Some prepared scrambled egg. Overall i do not know why to stay here. Maybe because the other hotels are full?

We spent some days in the Mechelen NH in October 2017.This hotel is very close to the town centre. We did not have breakfast here, so we can't say much about that. Our room, however, was really good: It was a very large double, with quite a spacey bathroom (see photo). Service was very helpful, friendly, and efficient. I would certainly recommend this hotel. Good value for money.

NH Mechelen is NOT a 4 star, but the services and comfort it provides are excellent. The fact it does not have its "own" restaurant for dinner is not a disadvantage, as this small perfectly formed Hotel is in the centre of town with access to all the delights that Mecheln bring

Great location for central Mechelen and restaurants. Easy 10-minute walk from the station, circa 10 mins. Comfortable bed, although room was hot even with the window fully open on a cold day. Large room works well for a business traveller with desk and also easy chair. Great breakfast options and very fresh.

This hotel is really great located in the center of Mechelen. Everything is within walking distance, Korenmarkt is a 5 min. walk. The rooms are standard for NH, everything you need is there. Good bed, reasonable bathroom, good shower. Minibar with reasonable priced items. The wifi connection on the 5th floor was of good quality. Parking is extra, around 12,50 a day and be aware the entrance (height) of the garage is really limited, max 1.65 meter and not a cm more! There is space to park your bikes, inside and safe. The parking is conveniently reachable by elevator. The breakfast is good, enough to choose from but not over the top. I had a really pleasant stay in the NH and it is ideal if you want to discover the lovely city of Mechelen or it surroundings. Also for a night stay when travelling through it looks suitable.

This was a return trip to the NH hotel at Mechelen. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The rooms offered standard business accommodation and were spotlessly clean. Free wifi is provided. Parking is provided - but be alert! A saloon/sedan car will enter the garage, but the descent is steep and there is a right-angled turn to the left. Clearance is adequate, but for first-timer is looks very tight. 4x4 vehicles, and SUVs will need to park elsewhere. NH is good place for an overnight stop and I warmly recommend it. The town is delightful with a wonderful medieval square at the centre.
