The room is fine, spacious, warm, quality bed, but the world's smallest wardrobe, not tall enough to hang a winter coat up. The room felt cool, but it seems to be impossible to adjust the room temperature. But there's worse: I booked here as a "treat", and planned time in the spa, room service and general relaxation. The spa has been transformed into a gym - but it's still listed on the hotel website. When I pointed that out the staff reaction was "we can't edit the site" Room service is not available - the restaurant is closed for the Christmas holidays. This information is also not on the website of either the hotel or the restaurant. I visit Mechelen often, this is my first and last visit to this hotel. I'd rather stay somewhere cheaper that lives up to its promise.
Cozy hotel in the middle of Mechelen. Standard hotel not to cheap, with confortable rooms. Service was good and very well located just beside dowtown. Groth market just a few minutes distance. Room cleaning could be improved.
The location is good, central and al lot of opportunity's for food and beverages. The room (inner court) was muffe, could not open a window, only air-conditioning but is was very noisy. Breakfast for unprofessional, baking eggs not possible ??, personal could not open coffee machine to add coffee beans, a lot of food was out of stock. Wellness, what a fake message!. Wellness is NOT for hotel guests possible, only for rent! very disappointing. There are better hotels in the neighborhood, I advise to look elsewhere.
nice re constructed building with wide and nice rooms. A SPA completes the every good experience. Staff very firendly. Located inthe town center, diffucult to reach with your own car but call the hotel and the staff will give some good hints on how to reach the closest parking.
Central location is great. Car parking nearby. It is a bit outside the comfort zone of your normal business hotel. In a way I like the interior but then you need to keep it up all the way. If you dress down you need to keep the style up. So scuffed walls in a hotel room are not a great feeling. Nice bathroom. Good breakfast. Reception in the evening not that welcoming. People serving breakfast were lovely. So a bit of mixed feelings about the experience. If the price is right for you, ok. Otherwise have a look at the alternatives.
I don’t really know how to describe this place. To be honest, I don’t really get it. Let’s start with the easy bit. It’s a well situated, clean hotel with decent sized rooms. But. It’s quite expensive and sort of fancy but not. Kind of like it got halfway through trying to be posh then gave up and watched Netflix instead. The building is loft style ex factory chic, but with vanilla rooms. As you walk around there are flashes of coolness in the corridor, some odd piece of art or something funky. However the rooms are just a bit boring. Nice enough. Not anything to complain about. Just dull. The bed was comfy. The shower was strong with lots of hot water. There was a coffee machine. However. The shower was designed by an idiot and just floods the bathroom and splashed the opposite wall (which didn’t have tiles). The coffee machine was some Rombout thing. It’s worked. But was a bit clunky. Overall ok. I’d come back.
We had an overnight stop here to avoid Brussels - this place was great - a very large room with a comfortable bed and the usual facilities. Very friendly staff. Me Helen is a short ride from Brussels Midi and an interesting smaller town for a days stop off.
We stayed in this hotel for one night. Staff were friendly and helpful with the rooms being clean and comfortable. We opted for a deluxe room and were grateful for the large amount of extra space it provides. The free wifi was useful and worked well. We did not use the restaurant or bar during our stay. The hotel is well located in the central part of Mechelen with plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes close by. The main tourist sights are only a short walk away. Overall we were happy with out stay and would come to this hotel again the next time we are in Mechelen
Great location within a square with bars and cafes next to the river. To walk into the centre of town only took about 5 minutes. Across a small bridge opposite the hotel was a supermarket and under that was the car park (next to Novotel) it was quite expensive compared to other places we have stayed. The room was large and at the back of the hotel which was very quite. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast the first morning which is in the bar area, a fair selection but not really substantial. For some reason alot of the foods had nuts as decoration on them (we have nut allergies which limited our choice - seemed quite odd). They have a small pool in the hotel but if you have a standard room you have to pay 9euro each person even if you are part of the Accor loyalty programme, seems mean! Why not just include a session in the pool free with your stay. Mechelen is a interesting place and there is alot to explore, We usually stop off in Bruges but I am glad we decided to visit Mechelen as an alternative.
This is a perfect hotel for short-term and long term vacations. It is in the middle of the beautiful city Mechelen. You can go and enjoy everything by food or bicycle. The staff here is kind, helpfull and professional. The rooms are clean and comfortable. TV with several channels - coffee and thee. Nice and clean bathroom with open shower. Breakfast is very good - a lot of choices. You can stay here with children or , like me this time, on your own. This hotel and the staff is perfect ! Thank you for making my stay relaxing . Important ...there is a fantastic spa available in the hotel!
