Short stay in Antofagasta

Visiting my daughter who lives in Antofagasta and this was the perfect place to stay. Close to all amenities including a supermarket, various resturants and the sea! :) Bed was incredibly comfortable and the pillows too. Hotel was clean and the breakfast was really good and a very reasonable price. All that you need when you spend the days out and about. Overall I would recommend staying here it is clean, comfy and the staff are really nice.

Ibis Hotel Antofagasta Chile

The price is right. The beds are quite comfortable. The rooms are very quiet. The breakfast buffet was cheap and bountiful. There's is a pool table and foosball in the lobby. Great food in the area, especially the Amares!!! The staff here does not speak much English, so I would recommend learning a bit of Spanish or downloading a translator. It is within walking distance to many Attractions and a giant mall. Overall, thumbs up!

Practical, clean and convenient location

We were quite pleased with the location of the hotel, the pleasing decor and the cleanliness of the room. We were quite disappointed with the restaurant which we feel has the potential to be so much better. One waiter told us they were short-staffed so the service was practically non-existent as well as the choice of drinks. The system charged us the wrong price for drinks and we were told that there's nothing they can do about it. We also lost one night of sleep due to our room filing up with cigarette smoke from 3 am until about 8 am. It seemed to be coming through the air conditioning unit from another room. We called reception and reported it but the problem persisted and the hotel never followed up with us, even when we checked out. No hand towels provided two days in a row.

Nice, clean, comfortable. Free parking and good location if you have a car. Reception staff was kind though a bit slow. Really good and affordable food in the restaurant, though I missed a coffee maker in the room.

MY STAY AT IBIS WAS GOOD,THE CONCEIRGE WERE FRIENDLY & THE STAFF WERE MULTILINGUAL ,WERE ABLE TO SPEAK ENGLISH PRETTY WELL,THE BREAKFAST WAS OK ITS NOT INCLUDED,THE HOTEL WAS LOCATED IN GOOD LOCATION,MY ONLY DISSAPPOINTMENT WAS THAT WIFI CONNECTION WAS NOT GOOD IN THE ROOM I WAS NEVER ABLE TO CONNECT,SO I HAD TO USE IT IN THE LOBBY,THERE ALSO IT WAS ONLY FOR HALF HOUR,EVERY HALF HOUR I HAD TO KEEP ASKING FOR THE NEW PASSWORD FROM THE DESK STAFF WHICH WAS VERY ANNOYING,IF THEY SAY WIFI IS FREE WITH THE STAY THAN THEY SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT THE GUEST CAN USE IT WITHOUT ANY HASSLES!

Ok for price

The hotel is clean and the service is Ok. It is cheap so you can't expect much. There is no room service, there is no minibar. The bed and pillows are wrapped in plastic which makes your night extremely hot, you will wake up in the middle of the night sweating. The last night I had to remove the plastic to be able to sleep. They don't have an individual sheet so if you are hot too bad, you have to sleep with the whole comforter. The rooms are very small but have everything you need. They have a restaurant so you can eat in the hotel but not in your room. The internet is very ggod, is fast and easy to connect. It is next to the central station so it's very convenient if you are traveling by bus. Just be careful because the area is not very secure to walk at nights. I would stay again at this hotel if I don't find something else so as an emergency is Ok

As you'd expect for a standard Ibis. Late check out fee was a bit too pricey. Bathroom could have been cleaner. It would have been nice to have a fridge.

The weekend staff here are very abrupt. I had a problem and they were completely unhelpful. Equally, the management were not very helpful. I would never stay in another Hotel Ibis - do NOT book this hotel!!

Pleasant location

Located half way between the main plaza and old town, and the main supermarket and new part of central town, it's a great location. It's only 5 minutes walk to the old port Puerto Viejo where you can buy fresh seafood to kill for and see sea lions basking and being fed. On the way is the extraordinary railway museum - Barrio Historico Ex Estacion. It's only 5 minutes the other direction to the main beach Baleario Municipal with a fabulous resaurant serving BBQ food at really good prices, chorripan on the sidewalk and major supermarkets nearby.
