Towels need to be replaced. Rooms and bathrooms could use some updating. Management needs to invest in the property to keep guests coming back.

Relaxing by the ocean, horse back riding on the beach, dinner on the pier restaurant , all in all was a good vacation.

Check in was at 5pm no electricity for 3uhrs and no WiFi in the room the hole stay

We booked a 4 day stay and checked out after the first day. Everything from the room interiors to all the resort facilities needed a complete makeover. Too much lack of upkeep to be able to reasonably list here. The food was inedible. All inclusive - yet we checked in at 4:00PM after a long day of travel and nothing was open to eat until the dinner buffet at 7:00PM. Wifi was unusable and the TV had 3 channels. The beach itself was beautiful, and the rate was very reasonable, it's just not anything like advertised. Simply put, this is a 1-2 star facility, which is priced at about a 2 1/2 star level. There seems to be two choices on this island, Ritz Carlton or Motel 6. We ended up paying twice the price for the next 3 nights at another hotel but the experience was completely different and well worth the move.

Only one dining area per night, some nights no entertainment at all, limited activities, comfortable bed and clean rooms, awful toilets, friendly staff, no top shelf alcohol whatsoever, friendliest staff member is Dave who took us out on hobie cat for a sail, if you want to lay on the beach and do absolutely nothing... this is the place to be, wifi only in the lobby, limited tv channels...food choices limited but tasty.

Hotel seemed expensive but it was great considering all inclusive foods, beverage, hot running water, cleanliness, and working AC. Hotel and staff exceeded my expectations by comparison to other visits in Antigua. The upon arrival the staff was accommodating and very friendly. The staff would constantly ask if there were any issues. The room was amazing, outside the from door we had the view of the beach, and by the balcony we got the beautiful beaches, the pool area and the mountain. The room was thoroughly cleaned. Overall great experience.

Had a great time overall... the beach is gorgeous and the staff are extremely friendly and kind. The food was very very good and drinks were flowing.

Just go there with an open mind and just enjoy yourself.. The beach is beautiful and the water is blue as the sky. Food is great just wake up early

Staffs are friendly however the water in the room are yellow not sure is it suppose like that. The food is good but not a lot of selections.

We stayed at Halcyon Cove by Rex Resorts in Antigua. The best part of the trip was the location. Beautiful, crystal clear water...soft, powdery sand. Unfortunately, the hotel was less than stellar. It's old, tired and in desperate need of a makeover. When the first thing you see is a building with missing roof tiles, you know that something is amiss. Many of the buildings had peeling paint and missing roof tiles. The landscaping was in serious need of attention and the beach palapas need replacing. The staff was accommodating and very friendly. Honestly they made the trip enjoyable. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. The folks at the corporate office need to come to this resort and see things for themselves. Very disappointed with the resort and certainly did not get my money's worth.

Absolutely loved the hotel, staff, food and local food on the beach! Not to forget the beautiful breathless beach! Would def return!

The pictures must be from 20 years ago. The rooms are shabby, not very clean and were full of mosquitoes. Even when I asked them to spray, I was still eaten alive by the bugs. Had to carry my heavy suite case alone up the stairs. Breakfast is sparse with no fresh vegetables and almost no dairy products. I will not return. Staff was very amiable though.
