We have been here for 2 weeks. Everything about Tekeli Konaklari is wonderful. Our room is lovely with antique touches and a comfortable bed. The swimming pool is beautiful and warm, surrounded by the 700 year old Ottoman houses and stone walls. It is an oasis right in the middle of old town Kaleici. We would just laze around the pool with the birds twittering around us. Our host, Mehmet, and his team of Emana and Shramen are very friendly and will do anything for you. They are a lovely Turkish family and have looked after us impeccably. Thank you Mehmet for making our stay perfect.
A very nice traditional Turkish house in the middle of the old city. Almost impossible to drive by yourself, do not forget to call the owner so that he helps you find your way in the city and park your car. Everything is reachable by foot or tram. The museum of Antalya is not to be missed.
This would be our idea of luxury, staying in a refurbished apartment in Kaleici. Beautifully refurbished apartments, decorated tastefully around a calm, quiet courtyard. What a fantastic setting for relaxing with friends or family over some local wine or food. Wished we could have stayed longer or looked around but time was limited. Congratulations to the owners, the place looked fantastic and service for lunch was superb!
Stayed here for three nights during our vacation. The hotel is a renovated house from the Ottoman era, and is probably the cosiest hotel I stayed at. Beautiful rooms and a very nice courtyard. There is also a small pool at the hotel if you wish to take a swim. The location is perfect, right in the middle of Kaleiçi, which is the old town of Antalya. Just a short walk to either the harbour or a larger shopping district. One step out of your room and you're on the streets of old town. The hotel also contains a small restaurant for lunch and dinner. The continental breakfast is nice. But what stands out the most with this hotel is the amazing hospitality of the owner and his family. They are very friendly and helpful in all kind of ways. If you consider accommodation in old town of Antalya, check out this place!
Tekeli Konakları which was an old Ottoman residence is a perfect place to stay if you want to experiance Turkish culture. You can relax by the pool. Enjoy your breakfast served under jasmine three. Art and decorative objects that are used in the rooms makes them very authentic and special. Walking distance to town center, harbour even to the museum( good 25 min.)
Very reasonably priced hotel. It's a "hideaway" in the old city of Kaleci. Rooms are actually spacious, breakfast was fresh & healthy. Pool was a savior. AC in room was fantastic. No TV in room, this is a good thing. Although I was solo, this is a amazing spot for a couple. Just a few minutes walk from the old harbor, lots of good "strolling" there. The feel of this hotel is very special. Staff was courteous, professional and very attentive.
My wife and I stayed here for our first anniversary and we loved it!. Tekeli is located in the heart of the old city in an area called Kaleici. The streets are narrow and beautiful. There are street vendors selling Turkish foods, souvenirs, etc. The property itself feels very personal as it has stone walls all around it with 2 gates along with a central pool. Each room feels very private. The management is super nice and on top of your needs. One evening my wife forgot her glasses somewhere late night. We had our flight early next morning and still had to pack so we were getting stressed out. We spoke to the owner, Mehmet, who called his taxi driver friend and asked him to drive 20km away to go get it for us!!! He also hooked us up with a nearby car rental, which provided us a great deal on a 2 day car rental + driver! Every time we needed help Mehmet had our back! He also made sure to wake us up for our flight the next morning. One evening he gave us complimentary tea and we spent time with his sons Ibrahim and Husseyin. These kids are super street-smart and fun. We shared experiences from our hometowns and showed each other photos of our families!!! We're now friends on facebook :) When we revisit Antalya we're staying here, no questions asked!
Beautiful little hotel, excellent service, wonderful decorated rooms. I fall in love with this hotel when I was inside our room. Delicate furniture and blankets. Unfortunately we were there just for one night. The location is great. The only thing was the noise, being very close to the street, we could hear the night activities around. Overall was nice. Definitely a place to visit again.
Loved this series of old Ottoman style houses, renovated and turned into a hotel. The central two level courtyard with mature trees and swimming pool and old style rooms, which are spacious and comfortable and the variety of outside seating areas are great. Situated right in the middle of the old town, we asked the managers son to take us to our tour meeting place( as the windy streets had us completely flummoxed) and he kindly obliged. For our bus pickup at 6am a breakfast was arranged and the manager took us and cases to the pickup point.as well, as the bigger coaches cant get through the narrow streets WE love staying in hotels or accommodations that reflect the culture and style of the country we are in and this did it for us. Lovely people and we highly recommend it. WE wish we had been able to stay longer.
I booked this through booking.com where it had a really high score and we were both disappointed. First people describe the rooms as apartments, they are not. Ours, a twin with a tiny additional room with a single bed, was ok but much smaller than expected, though the next door double room was much nicer. The pool area was lovely and peaceful but I don't think there were many people there when we stayed, had there been it would have been very crowded without enough chairs. But our major problem was a)we were not guven proper directions in reply to my email and spent ages trying to find it, b)more importantly, when we arrived the owner wasn't there. His son checked us in and had limited English and could not provide anything in the way of tourist info, just a bad map in German. There was no literature at all about where to go and what to do. It didn't help that the tourist office in town is currently closed. The noise from the club is loud but that wouldn't have been an issue if everything else had been ok. I specifically booked this hotel rather than others like blue sea garden which incidentally looked lovely and is in a better spot, because it said the room had a balcony. Being a smoker I need this. However the balcony was shared with next door and the chairs etc were right outside their room, so you do not get your own balcony. Other minor gripe the breakfast was ok. But not as good as elsewhere in turkey.
