I spend two weeks playing golf in Belek and stayed in the Sirene hotel Nov.19.-Dec.3. Golf courses played (Pasha, Sultan, National, Carya and Lykia) were in great condition which of course together with a good weather were the main things for the successful golf holiday. The hotel is nowadays a good 3 star hotel. Everything works ok and the personnel at the reception desk are helpful and polite. The age of the hotel can be seen especially in the hotel rooms. So the coming renovation is really needed. The main restaurant is like a large hall and thus quite a noisy place when full of people. Personnel in restaurant, though trying their best, do not speak English (or German) well enough to improve the atmosphere. -My Turkish may also need some brushing... However the food was always very good and many buffet tables offered huge variety of choices for all tastes. Due to the time of the year there was no services on the beach and most of the open air places were also closed. Downstairs Spa was open offering two saunas, gym, 25 m swimming pool and good massage services (with very active sales personnel). This time of the year the value for money is quite good so the hotel is very well recommended. Heikki
Staff are UNFRIENDLY and UNHELPFUL and need some lessons in humanity especially their head receptionist ERDEM ACAR who is a RACIST!! He along with his booking agents ELVOLINE and HOTEL BEDS charged us twice for the same room and he refused to help us to get our money back. No doubt he is in alliance with ELVOLINE who would not take our calls to postpone our original booking from Oct to Nov as a relative had passed away, but they had NO sympathy whatsoever and told us they could not help us! The hotel is very run down and in need of major refurbishment. We couldn't use 3/4 of the facilities because they had it closed for the season and the toilet stinks just like he does!! There are thousands of other hotels nearby that are closer to the golf courses and are much more modern and has state of the art facilities. This hotel could be good if they changed its staff such as ERDEM ACAR and get a whole new overhaul. (UK)
Lovely weeks holiday, particularly at this time of year. Hotel and amenities not overcrowded, but buffet selection limited relative to other Belek experiences in Feb/Mar. Bar service a bit irregular (again by comparison) but nevertheless acceptable. Restaurant service excellent in every way. Hotel ambience, room, cleanliness all exceptional. Only minor criticism was the lack of atmosphere or welcoming aspect of the indoor swimming pool. Golf courses, facilities and transfers tremendous. One dodgy day out of 6 with temperatures 18 to 21 degrees. But all in all, a great week. Thanks.
A very comfortable hotel. Our package was all inclusive and food was very good and plentiful. Lots of drinks available- mostly local brands, but difficult to tell the difference. The staff were helpful and attentive. Good facilities - pools, massages etc. November was not too busy with a mainly adult customer base although there were some children who had lots to do. Proximity and access to local golf courses was key to our enjoyment.
Just spent a week in Sirene. Room was nice and spacious with two separate beds, nice bathroom and balcony facing another hotel. Minibar was filled with juices and softdrinks. It was very quiet...I slept with balcony door open and never heard any noise. Maybe the best part of Sirene was the food...For breakfast you could have an omelette, pancakes, eggs, breads, sausages, fruit, yogurt, cakes,...anything you want. We played golf after breakfast and only twice we made it to the lunch. I think it was over at 15.00 or 15.30. It could have been a bit longer to be able to get something to eat after playing golf. There is a cafe where you can get cakes and rolls and at 16.30 they had some pizza slices also, so that is what we normally had for late lunch, pizza and cakes :-). Dinner was super good always. They had different themes, but always lots of delicious Turkish starters and salads, all kinds of Turkish food ( I love it) but also Mexican, Chines, sushi, pasta. Everything was so good we always ate a way too much. They also had a few a la carte restaurants, we tried Italian and it was absolutely delicious. Beach is very nice right next to the hotel, free sunbeds, beach bar, cabanas..water was nice and warm still in the end of October. They had at least two pools with free sun beds. Hamam, Turkish sauna, is definitely worth a visit, we enjoyed it very much. We had a Turkish washing, scrub, massage and face mask. I recommend it. Also tried Bali massage and it was very relaxing also. Golf course is right next to the hotel, there is a bus driving between the hotel and club house all the time. There is not much else to do in Belek than play golf or enjoy the beach. There is a small village of Kadriye with some shops and restaurants, but bigger cities Antalya, Side, Manavgat are all about 40 km away. If you enjoy golf and good food, this is close to a paradise.
I have stayed here several times and each time it gets better & better. The buffet breakfast & evening meals are great. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with a lovely seating area. Highly recommended
A massive, family hotel. It looks quite grand from outside, with a sweeping entrance and large entrance to reception. The staff are relatively welcoming and helpful, taking bags and parking the car. We were a relatively large party of 14 on a golf trip. We were placed in the family suites, in the same block away from the main building. Unfortunately this meant a trek to the restaurant, indoor bar and reception, which wasn't a problem apart from a very, potentially slippery marble slope and uneven stonework that had to be negotiated on the way. This proved a bit hazardous for a few members on a number of occasions, especially if you had the wrong footwear on. I'm not sure what would happen either if it had rained! Do you just get wet? Accommodating some of the golf clubs was no problem and transport to the golf course nearby was seamless with transport laid on, at fairly short notice, both there and back. The rooms were clean and reasonably furnished, but like the main entrance they lacked a bit of updating and looked a little tired. There were no tea/coffee making facilities despite the write up saying that there was a kettle. The large curtains didn't meet in the middle, so letting in outside light whilst trying to sleep. The bathroom was large and had both bath and shower, with constant hot running water and free toiletries. However the sealant around the room was old and grubby and the wallpaper was curling away in places, with some signs of damp, possibly through condensation, on the ceiling. Bath robes were also provided along with a hairdrier which was a little pathetic at drying your hair, but no slippers! Double sinks were a nice touch. There were very few electric points in the room and although there was a modem in the room, the internet was slow and sluggish, often making it impossible to open emails etc. There was a free bar with water and soft and fizzy drinks, replenished daily, along with maid service. The TV had no English channels apart from BBC news. Some of the lighting didn't work but beds were comfortable. The air con was also slow and sluggish, therefore not very effective with the hot spell of weather that we encountered during the daytime and evening. Unfortunately we were unable to leave our balcony window open to get air into our room, as it overlooked an outside bar area which had entertainment every evening. This was supposed to stop at midnight, which was already late enough. However this went on until 1am and beyond for at least two of the four nights, and the other two nights consisted of much noise through drunken shouting and hollering which wasn't great for people who wanted to sleep. The double glazing seemed to do little to help with this matter, so you had to accept that people were on holiday and enjoying themselves and try to sleep through it. The balcony was very large and would have benefitted from a couple of sunloungers, but only had two cheap, plastic chairs and a table. There was plenty of room in the main restaurant and food was plentiful and varied, with something of choice to suit everyone for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. Waiting staff were courteous but not especially friendly. Our waiter did organise a large table for us all to sit at together each evening and regularly replenished drinks. The main bar however suffered from very poor waiter service and you generally had to go to the bar to get drinks for yourself. No nibbles were provided either, u less you specifically asked for them. Unfortunately even then they were inedible. There were a number of outside bars/eating areas around the site, with a particularly impressive area on the beach with a restaurant and some private seating areas on the sand and along the pier if you wanted to pay an extra 50€ to treat yourself and three friends. There was also free sunbeds, under shelter if you wanted it as well as activity areas such as beach volley ball. There is a full sized Olympic swimming pool as well as a large pool that spreads around the main building and a child's and baby pool, with slides, water fountains and a play area. The hotel also benefits from a large indoor pool but no small pool for young children or jacuzzi. There is a sauna, steam room and hamam, which are surprisingly small for the size of the hotel, and no resting area or couches for use after using the facilities. Altogether a good experience and I'd definitely revisit, but a refurb on some areas would be most welcome.
Just returned for our second stay at this hotel during our golf holiday. Great hotel, lovely food and very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and set in lovely grounds. Has a great free form pool and 50 mt pool along with a small water park. The beach is very nice and worth a walk and a drink on the pier. Booking again for next year without hesitation.
12 guys on a golfing holiday from the 12th-19th September. Our flight was delayed by 2 hours, when we arrived at the hotel we only just made the lobby bar, we couldnt find any food, we were really hungry. My room was huge, upstairs and downstairs, bathrooms pretty clean. The room could have been cleaned better and the fridge with some beer, it was all inclusive after all. The complex was huge with enough room for all yet there were folk up very early puting the obligatory towels out. the pools were clean and plentiful, the pier was good. Food could have been better and hotter especially breakfast and I thought paying for fresh juice was a bit of a cheek as it was supposed to be all inclusive. The staff were on the whole okay, reception staff had a Cop out by saying "I dont understand" if your doing the job learn to understand or leave. having said that they were friendly. Entertainment staff worked hard and were great as were the shows which were great, especially on our last night the "Acrobats" fantastic. Another pain was the very poor WIFI which kept dropping in and out, this needs sorted especially in this day and age. we will go back and I hope some upgrades and changes are made.
The hotel is very good - excellent food, huge swimming pools, green territory, interesting activities. Very friendly personnel. The only areas requiring improvement, in my opinion, are: quality of wi-fi; the bathroom in our villa definitely needed renovation. Minidisco program could be a bit diverse - the same songs/dances 7 days/week...the rest was fabulous!
