Have too say worst hotel ever ... visited october 2015 rooms shabby and dirty, food repetitive and gross, all inclusive 3 drinks available.. flat/recycled lager 1 kind of spirit and if lucky something they called wine.. 10 days of hell
After reading reviews prior to travelling, there were positives and negatives. After coming home. I am still undecided. Arrived just after midnight and whilst checking in, the male receptionist was called away by a female to two Brits fighting outside. That sorted he completed my check in and carried my hand baggage to my room and showed me the procedure. At no time did he tell me about the meals had to be taken next door at the Karat sister hotel. The description stated this hotel had a restaurant and was not used. I had done my homework and advised my booking agent, this was a breach of Sales of Goods and Services Act in their description of the hotel. Their is also no gym which again they have adjusted their website description. Now down to the NittyGritty. From the outside the hotel looks clean, just like any hotel in Spain, Greece. Rooms are clean and spacious with enough storage facilities. Down side is you get the sun all day facing the road but this is an arterial route in Turkey and the noise is 24/7 The pool gets no sun and nor do the rooms. Apart from the cleaner, the other 4 staff are multi-tasking. I can see why they are miserable at the end of the season. After 2 days and shaking hands with them each morning I manage to communicate in German,Russian, Polish, Estonian Norwegian and finally English. Basics words such as THANK YOU, Good morning. The reception area of the Diamore is small compact and lacks character down to the decor although outside of the entrace is pleasant with soft furnishings. The entrance to the Karat hotel is very large and airy but has very little seating if inclement weather is around. Again I introduced myself by shaking hands with all staff and they reciprocated every meal time. Such was it, if I entered the pool area before 12-00, the bar man served a beer and after that a glass of red wine which was my tipple for meals. The meals seem not to appeal to the British Palate. They tend to cater for German, Russian,Nordic and Eastern Block Countries. As an ex Military Chef I have tasted food all over the world. This is TURKEY and I always found a 3 course meal that satisfied my palate. Breakfast has a choice of 6 cheeses, 6 meats, breads fruit salad, olives jams marmalade honey 5min eggs 2min eggs scrambled eggs fried pepper and CHIPS on alternate days. Lunch of soup, fish a meat dish pasta rice spahetti 32 individual salads 5 sweets 4 fruit. Same again on evening meal. There was also an 8 condiment set on the cold salad bar if you felt your meal was bland. I ran riot because I like spices and herbs. Because of the cost of £7-50 per night I can understand the regularity of cheaper meats. i.e. Chicken Turkey Burgers Sausages Kidneys Lamb Steaks. Tend to be more of a stew or casserole to keep food moist. This is my opinion as I saw it. For 11 nights £78-50. A budget hotel with budget food I look at it this way. 4 half glasses of beer each day, your food and bed work out free as well as your other drinks.
arrived in antalya and had a transfer(had to find bus on my own no rep)which was nearly as long as the flight from glasgow.met by a rude receptionis who insisted my passport was fake.the pool got no sunshine on it all day .the food can only be summed up as typical german crap.my room was always clean and tidy thanks only to me.it was cleaned once by the staff.was told when i booked all staff spoke good englishit was very hard trying to communicate with them.the beach is a good legthy walk and you have to cross a very busy road must be a nightmre for families with young kids, when my key was handed back i was told i could stay in the hotel and have 1 drink on the house.WOULD I GO BACK UGH UGH..
I checked in for a week on the 1st of October, arrived early hours of the morning to be greeted by a rude chap on reception checked us in and gave us no information on hotel. We had a lie in so did not attend breakfast we went down to pool which was getting little if any sunshine and ordered 2 Fanta from a boy aged around 12 this was flat warm bottles sitting in bar and no ice provided! We went out to go to the beach and were followed by the rude man on reception who said he would show us where to go, but instead just took us down to his shop trying to get us to buy things there! On returning we enquired about dinner, this is served in hotel next door and was disgusting stale rice, questionable chicken didn't manage to eat anything so did not return to any other meal times! The room itself was clean with a nice view but the bed was old lumpy and uncomfortable, as for the shower it was the worst I've used hardly gets you wet and never any hot water!!!! We ended up checking out early and moving hotels as I was literally starving shattered and couldn't get a good enough wash!! It's cheap yes and i didn't expect much but a cold drink, warm shower and comfortable bed should at least be provided! AVOID!!

Diamore is a three stars hotel placed in the centre of Alanya between Cleopatra Beach and the harbor. It's a great place for people with lower expectations who don't need to stay in the building for all day. If you need a bed, shower, simple food you should choose Diamore! There is a beautiful view to an old castle from the windows in front of the street. Rooms were clean, food was varied, staff was really nice and helpful. Owner of the hotel is also nice but watch out he's trying to be dodger ;) For me Diamore hotel was an excellent choice and if i'll back to Alanya I'm sure that I'll take it again! P.S. Restaurant is in hotel Karat located next to Diamore. It's not a problem. For me it was an advantage. Wi-Fi is a little bit too slow but it's stable and free.
Our transfer was near enough 3 hours long to the hotel which was a complete joke. When we got there it was 5 in the morning the staff were quite rude an ignorant! When we went down for breakfast the food wasn't even in our hotel it was next door! Breakfast lunch an tea. An then the food was ALWAYS cold an there was never a variety for me an my boyfriend to choose from so we ended up eating out for near enough the whole 2 weeks we was there, we spend near enough over 1000 pound to eat out! When we complained about the food all the cooks did was laugh an touch all the food. I would personally never ever go there again, it was an utter joke.
Very beautiful hotel, newly renovated. Nice rooms and a beautiful view over the city. In walking distance of centrum. Restaurants just around the corner, with great food. Beds are not very good, and there is a lot of noise from the street. Breakfast is not very good.
Stayed here for 2 weeks in April 2016, Staff Are Good, Excellent Clean Rooms, Had Land View Room Overlooking The Castle & Main Road, Its A Perfectly Central Location In Alanya, Im Hoping To Stay There Again, Thanks To The "Genel Mudur" Mehmet KAYA
It is our second time in Diamore and we can advice this hotel with no doubt. The hotel is clean, rooms are tided daily, rooms are comfortable and the view from our balcony is stunning! Food is also very delicious, everyone can find something for it's taste. There are choice of sweets, fruits. There are shampoo and doushe gel, hair dryer. The location of the hotel is ideal as the hotel is licated in the center of Alanya: only 5 minutes to reach port and 15 minutes to best beach Kleopatra. We recommend this hotel to everoyne and we still don't know why is hotel has three stars there must be rated at four!
