Mariners Retreat is a fabulous newly upgraded apartment in the heart of the beautiful coastal village, Crail. Finished and furnished to a very high standard this two bedroom apartment offers comfort, flexibility and style. Both bedrooms can be arranged as superking or twins and the family bathroom as well as the enormous en suite make it ideal for a break with friends.

Set on a tree lined street, there is a fantastic shared garden to the rear and off street parking available to the front. This spacious home has every modern amenity expected of a high quality holiday rental, and guests will be delighted with the spacious accommodation. Forming the middle level of the property, Mariner's Retreat is located near the centre of the village for convenience but benefits from being quiet and peaceful. With the harbour just down the hill, the master bedroom has sea views and looks out over the expansive shared garden which guests are welcome to enjoy. Ideally located close to some of the most famous golf courses in the world, golfers will appreciate the superb amount storage for golf clubs and the adaptable sleeping arrangements. The open plan living area provides a great place to relax after a day on the course or enjoy a meal together in the formal dining area. Quality beds and luxurious linens ensure a great sleep and the ensuite with enormous walk in shower is pure indulgence! Designer toiletries are provided. Mariners Retreat is an absolute treasure of a property, the perfect home from which to explore the many delights of the East Neuk.

Great property with everything you need. Well appointed with good glassware and kitchen accessories. Lounge and dining area are quite large and 2 large bedrooms, 1 with an ensuite. Appears to be recently renovated. A couple of small things, wifi only works in the lounge room, TV has no free to air and the washing machine doesn’t work on setting 8 - beware, nearly had to leave all of our washing behind but managed to retrieve it. Otherwise great apartment in cute town, approx 22 min drive to St Andrew’s. Easy walk to the harbour and great pub - The golf hotel. Good communication, easy access. Thank you!

We regularly stay in and around crail but we Definitely would not recommend Mariners Retreat as there are plenty of other good properties in crail and the surrounding areas.When we arrived there were spiders on the ceilings, mould around the bedroom window and shower area that hadn’t been cleaned either.The outdoor seating area was so over grown we couldn’t sit there.We were only staying 2 nights in crail this time and didn’t continue our stay after we found a bug in one of the beds.( I will include pictures )The letting agent Pitenweem properties who manage the property are not very pleasant or professional to deal with which I was surprised at since they seem to manage many properties in the area.The reviews are positive for this property so we must have been unlucky.We stayed in August and with that being high season we expected it to be cleaner and well maintained.Crail is a lovely part of the country and we will definitely be back but I will not book anywhere managed by Pitenweem Properties in the future as you won’t receive a refund from them even if there are issues.
