Modest, but pleasant hotel. Very friendly staff and owners, proud of their hotel and it’s location. Annecy is 15 minute walk along the beautiful Annecy Lake. Safe and quaint. Great for a short stay.

Excellent location

We found the staff extremely helpful. Bikes were available to rent but we'd taken our own. It's just a 5 mins. cycle ride into Annecy Old Town along the very safe, lakeside cycle path. Staff lent us a cycle light as we were returning after dark from a meal in the town.

Hotel is okay but would not stay there again.

Annecy is amazing. However, this hotel is a 15 minute walk to the village of Annecy. Since the village is so charming, next time I will stay right in the village. I am not a lazy person, but walking 30 minutes round trip a couple of times each day is time consuming and after about 3 times is no longer interesting. Yes, there is a bus, but it runs every 15 minutes and still requires walking up and down a long hill. Also, the room we were in did not have a shower. It only had a tub with a hand-held shower hose and no sort of shower curtain. For the price, I would have expected a better shower/bathing set-up. They put is in the top floor which meant no window other than a hatch that swung out, so to see out, we had to peer out the opening. We could not see out from anywhere else in the room. Great view, but difficult to see it. No excuse for putting us in that room as the hotel was clearly not full. Also the breakfast was VERY disappointing (i.e. warm juice out of a dispenser, coffee out of a machine, pastries you could get at a gas station in the states). Don't bother with it. Go into the village and get breakfast at any number of outstanding cafe's and restaurants. The bed was a little hard for me. I sleep on my side and my shoulders were sore each morning.

Fun time in Annecy. We had a significant delay in getting in due to traffic accident on Route A-6. We called at 9:30PM saying we would be very late and they gave us the door code and left our room key under the lamp inside. VERY COOPERATIVE!

Great location in Annecy

Hotel rooms are small, but very comfortable. Just down the hill to the lakefront and town beach, 15 minite walk along a nice path along the lake to the picturesque old town. It's best to leave your car in the hotel parking and bike or walk because the lake road traffic and parking are crazy, even in mid September. The two hosts I spoke with were as nice as could be and although they both spoke excellent English, they very patiently put up with my limited French. Hope to return.

Great little hotel

Friendly, helpful staff when made us feel very welcome. Room was spotless but lacked clothes storage - had a small wardrobe but no drawers so we had to live out of our case for the four nights. Breakfast can be booked at €12 per head for standard continental buffet. Hotel does have a bar but we didn't use it. Lots to do in Annecy and all within walking distance - bus stop at the end of the road if needed. We had hired a car to explore the wider area.

Great Little Place in the French Alps

We truly enjoyed the Hotel des Marquisats. It was in a great location with convenient parking. The nightly rate was excellent. It was close to the lake and to the center of town for walking.

Nice view!!! The place is clean, but the room is small and shower is even smaller. Fine for one night stay.
