Villa Maria is a nice house. The location is convinient. It is close to the beach, restaurants, little stores and a lot of other places, plus the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet (although this time, there was a construction near by, that woke us up very early).
Upon our arrival we were dissapointed to find a few issues: the house appeared clean but was not done so very well. Some of the kitchen items were dirty, the furniture in the main living room was dirty (stains and overall pretty worn out). The bed comforter in one of the rooms was stained. The mattress cover and the pillows were stained in another room, that should have been replaced. The outside shower was FULL of sand. The pool was dirty. Water was murky and the temperature on it was unpleasant, considering how hot it is, the water was cold enough to be enjoyable. The maintenance on it, was poor. On the house book, it said, the pool was given maintenance twice a week but noone showed up for it until a day before we were leaving. The pool guy told us that maintenance was given only once a week. He tried his best to make it pleasant for us but it was too late, we were already leaving the next day. This was a big dissapointment. We were hardly able to use the pool. In the kitchen one of the main burners did not work. Also, the ceiling fans inside the house were dirty and dust balls were under and behind the furniture all through the house. Overall, the house maintenance was poor.
