Located on the coveted North End of AMI, our one-bedroom cottage is the quiet getaway you are looking for. Enjoy the tranquil north end of the while remaining within walking distance of the beach, shops, and restaurants.

The living room in Snail's Pace features two recliners and a large TV and is steps from the kitchen and dining nook for two.

The bedroom includes a queen-sized bed, 43-inch TV, and crisp linens and plush towels from our professional linen company. Your guests will stay connected with complimentary WFI and enjoy all of the comforts of home, including a washer and dryer.

The lovely backyard shares a dock on a canal with the two other cottages on the property. Three single kayaks and two double kayaks are available for the guests to explore the canal and waterways. When ready to relax, a variety of chairs and loungers as well as comfortable hammocks are available. There's also a full patio dining set and gas grill for enjoying your meal al-fresco.

Snail's Pace is a dog friendly property! If you have added a pet to your reservation under number of pets, the fee of $150 per dog plus tax has been added to your reservation total. ** 2 Dog Limit **

Snail's Pace is easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants, and a short walk to the free island trolley, which travels the entire length of the 7 miles of the island. Hop on and off at your leisure and explore shopping, dining and the beaches. The perfect location for your next beach vacation!

A great little property - perfect for a couple

This property was true to the listing, very clean and comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed a lot of time on the dock where we caught fish, and the walk to the beach was minutes - we enjoyed morning walks up to Bean Point and loved the proximity to Pine Avenue!

Very nice place

We enjoyed the stay tremendously. The location was great. Walking distance to restaurants and beach, which is what we went for. Only minor issue which was resolved was the host forgot to send access to enter instructions so I had to research how to get ahold of them. It was after hours so I had to find emergency number. Finally got ahold of them and received the code over the phone.

Mangoes and Location! Location!

Conveniently located to the most beautiful beach and the loveliest of shops on this side of the island. Plus the mangoes were an amazing surprise treat! The canal has jumping fish that make for peaceful entertainment when having coffee or a beer on the dock. Book this place you will not regret it but please save me a week next year because we will be back!

Perfect couples retreat

My wife and I stayed the week prior to Easter here at Snail’s Pace, and it really was a perfect getaway. The location is phenomenal. We spent our mornings paddle boarding in the lagoon behind the house, which is brimming with wildlife, and even saw a couple manatees hanging out. We’d then spend the rest of the day lounging by the beach, which is just a short walk. The scenery was beautiful, and it’s much quieter on the north end of the island. Plenty of good food within walking distance as well. As for the cottage itself, despite its small size, it truly had everything we needed, and was very well thought out.

Perfect little get away

Snails Pace is the front half of a duplex. The back half faces the lagoon. Nice little yard area to walk the dog. Very quiet neighborhood, everything we needed was avaliable even some fishing gear and a beech wagon. Kitchen is well stocked. Note the coffee maker takes those large cone filters. But ther is also a bean grinder so you can bring your favorite and grind fresh.

Loved the location, property and house. The owner was on the property when we arrived an hour before check in and he was kind enough to allow early access and give us advise where to go and what to see. Highly recommend this property.

Coziest little place and so close to the beach

We can’t say enough about this property. We loved it! It was spotless! And the walk to the beach was insanely close, 3 minutes give or take. Walking distance to Pine Avenue. The owner of the property was around a lot and he was so kind and helpful. We will definitely be back! It was the best place we’ve stayed at on the island. Hands down.

Best appointed property so far. Great washer and dryer as well as refrigerator. Great shower. Did lack a dishwasher. Well I guess it did have one: me. It actually was set up well to do the few dishes we used. And the dishes and utensils were quite good. Only a surprisingly short walk to the beach.

Wonderful stay

We truly enjoyed Snail’s Pace. Anna Maria Island is a beautiful place and Snails Pace is perfectly located on the quiet north end of the island. The beach is simply beautiful with it’s white soft sand which feels like talcum powder. We were a short walk to the beach and many wonderful restaurants and shops. We appreciated and enjoyed the use of the beach cart and chairs that were provided by Henry (the owner) who was very nice and helpful in many ways. We also rented a golf cart from Fun and More Rentals and cannot express what a great company this is. We were able to explore the island without using our vehicle once. We plan to return to AMI in the future because of it’s beautiful white sandy beach, lovely restaurants and great accommodations. My husband enjoyed fishing from shore and from the Rod & Reel Pier. We met lovely people and overall had a great experience and vacation. Cannot wait to return!!

Our first time to AMI but it won’t be the last. Henry the owner is the nicest guy. We watched three manatee with him on the back door. So cool. House is adorable and very short walk to the beach…even for us old folks with bad knees.

Amazing Anna Maria Island location

Very small cottage but has everything you need! This unit was a little dark because of the trees outside! The 2 other units were a lot brighter than snails pace! Would definitely want the other units before this one again! Bedding need’s updating and more comfortable pillows! Would definitely recommend staying here and the owner Henry is very nice!

I will keep coming back AGAIN & AGAIN!

My 14 y/o son & I spent Easter week @ Snails Pace. This place is just perfect…extremely efficient, thought put into properties details interior & exterior. The canal steps away & the Gulf a few hundred. We used the kayaks daily & navigated to the Bay once. Then there is Henry…an amazing soul, who will assure you a comfortable & accommodating stay on his beautiful property

March get away

This property was great for 2 older adults looking to just relax. The cottage was very clean and the amenities were fabulous. Everything you needed to enjoy the beach and just relax. There were kayaks if you enjoy that too. A short walk to the beach and close to everything else you need. We enjoyed our stay !

Loved this little place. Quiet and convenient. Walking distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants and fishing. One improvement would be for a sidewalk or paved path to the unit making it easier to get heavy luggage to the unit.
