We had a great time at the Beige! We actually visited April 2018 but TA wouldn’t let us select. We loved our tent we stayed in and the beautiful bathroom. We booked a private car to the temples which was a saving grace during the extreme heat that time of year- he would pick us up at each end with cold drinks and towels and AC on blast! Would have liked to also had a tour guide included as for the price he just drove and we walked the temples ourselves. We did the picnic and our driver was SO fun and took lots of pictures with us. The picnic food was so/so but the experience was AMAZING. Other things: The pool!!!! Oh my goodness. The service with the umbrellas to and fro was very nice but a bit extreme. I felt bad having a local woman doting over me so much. We did book massages and enjoyed them. The food was a bit bland but easily available and with great service. The grounds themselves are just so beautiful and cool. We booked a Jeep excursion and I guess they over booked or somehow forgot about ours so that was disappointing. In order to have late checkout, they requested we write this review in exchange- which I felt was tacky so I guess that’s why it’s taken me so long. Overall it was the coolest hotel experience we have ever had and we loved seeing the ruins. Would DEFINITELY stay again. What a blast.
The setting was beautiful, and it was charming to sit outside by the fireplace in the evening. I was hoping that the staff would be more helpful in organizing trips to the temples, which they were not. Yes, they could explicitly book a guide/travel, but it was way overpriced ($110 for a half-day - Lonely Planet indicates $30). They also had no suggestions for how to best organize the visits, which can be daunting with such a grand complex as Angkor. The food was horrible, which, in the end, combined with the remote location, was the worst aspect for us. While we had planned to spend more days relaxing at the resort, we felt that eating there was unacceptable, and with no options nearby (and 40 minutes drive into town), we ended up cancelling our last night and booking a new hotel in town instead.
We went there for our honeymoon trip, we couldnt ask for more, the tent rooms are lovely with a shower into the wild, very romanticj and the service is perfect. We had a couples massage which was excellent. We loved having breakfast outside with the visit of an elephant
It’s our first time in the tent, from the beginning we had a bit concerning about our stay. However when we reached to the hotel we feel totally different, the tent with excellent service and everything we want. Quite, relaxing and everything so perfect. Good massage, friendly staff and nice swimming pool. We see the real village of Siem Riep. We highly recommend and will definitely go back to the hotel soon!
I had an life changing experience. The Beige is beyond beautiful. It was a sacred experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. So blessed to have had the ultimate luxurious organic natural glamping experience. The Beige's core value is is about LOVE AND CONNECTION ✌️It is a Luxury Tent Resort located in the lush environs of Angkor. The food they serve is grown on their Farm, using the freshest and safest natural methods... The Beige Tents are also made with Organic Sustainable materials... This place is beyond beautiful. I love being in Nature!!!!! Thank you for memories that will last forever.
We spent some days at this awesome location. As we booked directly we also had a personal driver to go around by car (temples, siem reap). Everyday in the morning an elephant with name Ranbay was visiting the guests, with possibility to feed him). The tents give you a discoverer feeling, the staff is very friendly and Professional. All in all a great experience. (Nevertheless the menues and drinks are pricey).
Beige I have not read all of the reviews but they are mostly excellent. The rooms/tents are large and fun but of course don't have all of the amenities of a usual resort. I have just spent three nights at The Beige and want to add some comments / observations. No need to describe the resort as that is dealt with elsewhere. It is about 30 minutes drive from Siem Reap. We were charged USD20 each way for a drive in for dinner. We questioned this at checkout and this was changed to USD20 for the return trip. Maybe a misunderstanding. There is no shuttle which would be nice. The deck in front of the tent was nice - but had two hard wooden chairs and a small table only. Comfortable outdoor camping style armchairs would be much better. The staff are all very friendly and full of smiles; however their English is mostly very poor. This is a matter of guidance and training which the management does not seem to have provided. The staff at Jaya House River Park where we also stayed was a marked contrast (and it has been open for the same length of time). Being in a 5 star hotel and some way out of Siem Reap with expensive transport one would expect great Khmer and other food and a great breakfast however the food was mediocre at best. A river fish dish at USD28 was just edible. Most of it was left and cleared with no questions. Breakfast was set out on a 1 page laminated menu - one Khmer set and one Western set. Like a hostel. The quality was OK but not what one would expect. The fruit platter was excellent though. On check out there were several food items double charged including wine and a charge for a bottle of wine we did not have. This took 30 plus minutes to resolve at check out. But all in a friendly manner and all sorted. Probably a misunderstanding and also a result poor staff training . We arranged a driver for a couple of temple tour days. The driver was friendly enough but had little English. He knew the location of the temples but knew little else. There was no reading material or guide books in the resort or in the car. I don’t expect pristine in a resort such as this but it’s all a bit stark and would benefit from some careful, tasteful landscaping and lighting, including if the pathways. Again it’s an out of town spot and a nice cocktail bar would be a good touch.
Every now and then you stay in a hotel that you will remember. The Beige falls into this category. The tents are beautiful, the swimming pool is one of a kind and the elephant and the buffalo’s are a very nice perk. The sunset in the pool is amazing. Of course there are some flaws, beds are ok not great and the prices are steep (especially for tours and food) but the overal experience is great. We decided to stay in Siem Reap for a few days and stayed in The Beige for the grand finale (worked out well!).
We stayed 1 night with my husband and 2 daughters. The setting is breathtaking, the accomodation is stunning with every detail taken care of. There is an elephant that visits every morning at breakfast and to get up close to have a pat and feed him was such a great experience. My massage last night was perfect and the infinity pool is heavenly!! Highly recommend the Cambodian Stew for breakfast!!
Great safari tents, awesome staff and very handy location for Temple viewing and visiting Siem Reap. Food was very good both in tent service and the restaurant. On site water buffalo and the local elephant added much fun for the younger children. Couple points we think to improve..additional safety glass around the shallow area of the pool and another handrail on the very steep steps. Overall a great place to stay and use as a base to explore this historic area.
