This beautiful chalet is nestled between majestic Ponderosa pines and is surrounded by easily accessible hiking trails. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 living area with a gas fireplace, kitchen, and loft with games. Enjoy the propane fire pit on the large, detached back deck during the months of April-October. Ski lifts and the golf course are within 1.5 miles from the house and Monte Verde Lake is just around the corner for some fishing and boating. The chalet has a smart TV in the living room for your viewing pleasure. . We have fiber optic high speed wireless internet that can be enjoyed anywhere inside and outside the home.
The chalet sleeps 8, with 1 king, 2 queen beds, and a pull out sofa bed. For those with small children, we have one porta crib and folding highchair. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to either make meals simple (crockpots and a grill) to expanding your coulinary skills.

Angel Fire is a family friendly, family fun resort village for ALL seasons. Our location in the scenic Moreno Valley above 8,400 ft. gives us cool summers and abundant winter snow.
Summers provide stunning wildflowers, wildlife viewing, and a variety of outdoor activities. Mountain biking, hiking, motorcycling, zip line tours, fishing and golfing are among the favorites. The back deck is wonderful for family gatherings and some star gazing. The propane fire pit will be available from April to the end of October.

Winter brings us an average of 200 inches of snow. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, sledding. and even a horse drawn wagon that traverses right on the green belt below our home.
Located just 25 miles from Angle Fire the towns of Red River and Taos is an easy day trip for rafting, shopping, galleries, wine tasting and dining.

Parking is available on both the driveway and a parking-pad along the street. Each location can hold 2 vehicles. However, the driveway is gravel and steep enough to require FrontWD(without snow) and 4WD or chains (with snow). Additionally, vehicles greater than 18ft long, such as a full-size truck, will have a hard time turning around at the bottom of the driveway and should be prepared to either back down or up the driveway.
Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a kitchen, a washing machine, and 2 bathrooms.

This place is exceptional. The deck was amazing! We enjoyed sitting out by the firepit enjoying the beautiful evenings while we grilled out dinner! They have added so many extra touches. There was a welcome basket of goodies and homemade cinnamon rolls in the fridge for us. There are even bird feeders hanging in the trees! Highly recommend!!

Spring Break Perfection

While there wasn't a ton of snow, the property offered other adventures, such as walking the trail to the food trucks, playing capture the flag in the woods, and building a fort from fallen tree limbs. We all had a blast!

Positives : Close to everything Nice house Negatives: Gift basket had food that expired more than a year ago! Dirty . Not clean. Not sanitary Dirty floors, windows , bathrooms, appliances , furniture, cobwebs. Dead bugs in the tubs . WiFi issues -but that’s not a big deal other than to communicate that to the property mgr. I feel bad for the owners . They live so far away and have no idea this is how their house is being maintained . I bet when they visit it gets the real clean . Whatever we paid for the cleaning was just a give away - it was not clean. Cleaning service is taking advantage of the clients and the owners

Beautiful Property

We enjoyed our stay. It was 5 star in all aspects. The only thing was the driveway is very steep. You will need 4 wheel drive. The owner responded to our issue with ice on the driveway immediately and all was good thereafter. I would highly recommend this property.

Convenient location

We had a very nice time in Angel fire. The location of the property couldn’t have been better as it was a mile or less to slopes and grocery. Guest services were very accommodating. The only downside of this rental was the parking. The drive is steep with a turn in it and while you can park up at the road it’s more of a pull over spot than parking which made it difficult to turn around when going back into town. This was mentioned in the listing and we did have 4x4 which was a must if even attempting to get down the drive.

100 Stars! Not kidding

Where to start…The place is perfect. Just as described. Owner has stuff labeled perfectly for ease. Family of 5 stayed for one week and couldn’t have asked for more. Wi-Fi perfect. Heating perfect. Water temp and pressure perfect. There isn’t enough stars for the memories we made. Fed mule deer by hand 3 out of 5 mornings. Sled on property daily. Watched huge horses pull sleighs every hour during daylight. Store and gas right around the corner. You can only see a couple houses from the property. Secluded yet not. All seriousness if you are looking to get out of the city life a bit but still have some other goods and needs this is the spot. Ski resort 3 mins away. I asked my wife what she would change about the property the question was followed with a long blank pause. That says plenty. It’s even better than the pictures. Forever thankful the homeowner shared this gem. Couldn’t have had a better time and the memories in this father’s mind are priceless.

Perfect mountain home

We had a wonderful stay at the house! It has everything you need in the kitchen! It’s the perfect mountain house. The deer come for a visit several times a day! Pay attention to owners disclosure about the driveway- it is steep and 4x4 needed. But u can leave your cars at the top of the hill if you can’t get down.. The owners were so responsive and nice. We got 2ft of snow while there and they had the driveway plowed! Thank u for a great stay!!!! One more disclosure- u have to take your trash to the dump down the road- so don’t wait til the last day of a long trip like we did 🤣

Wonderful cabin in the woods!

Wow, this cabin and location are truly amazing! So close to everything but it feels like you are tucked way in the woods. We brought our family here for a ski trip and it was perfect! The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything you could need and more! The owners definitely go above and beyond! The beds were super comfy and there were lots of extra blankets, pillows, etc. They had fun games and even a Nintendo switch for the kids to play on. It was the perfect place to come home to in the evenings after a long day of skiing. We loved curling up by the fireplace and watching the wildlife through the amazing windows. We used the provided deer corn and were visited by elk, deer, and turkeys! We got lots of snow while we were there but it did make getting out of the steep driveway tricky. Our 4wd truck almost didn’t make it out but the owners had it plowed right away. The provided parking area was sufficient however it is a bit of a steep walk down to the cabin so keep that in mind for older people, etc. Overall the cabin and location were great and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!

Very pleased

We were very happy with our stay. There was plenty of room for our family of 6. The home is surrounded by beautiful woods. We enjoyed spotting the deer that walked right by. Our family enjoyed the card & board games that were available. It was a very close, short drive to the slopes but felt like we were tucked away in from town. We did feel like our 4 wheel drive suv would be able to get up & down the driveway with ease, but the snow and steepness proved us wrong. If in doubt, use the handy parking pad off the road at the top of tur driveway. :)
