Our stay at Grinning Bear Lodge was absolutely perfect. The cabin itself is stunning, featuring high-end luxury accommodations and beautiful New Mexican decor that makes you feel right at home in the mountains. We were especially impressed with the kitchen; it is truly "fully stocked" with everything a cook could need.One of our favorite parts was exploring the trails right around the cabin—the hosts even provided hiking sticks, which was such a thoughtful and helpful touch! After a day of hiking, the hot tub and jetted bathtub were the ultimate way to relax. If you're looking for a peaceful, upscale getaway in Angel Fire, this is the place to be. We can't wait to come back!

Everything was perfect at the Grinning Bear Lodge. Well kept (beautiful decor), well appointed (the fluffiest towels/and soft sheets) and situated in a private cul-de-sac. The back deck was a wonderful place to hang out and the fire-pit was great for s’mores/campfire stories in the evenings. Bonus: the deer came by each day to see us and were so friendly! I highly recommend the Grinning Bear Lodge for any family or group who wants a secluded mountain retreat. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Everything was wonderful. The only thing that occurred while we were there was we were unable to get the fireplace re-lit. Other than that, this was a fantastic place to stay and we will definitely return.

This is our second time to stay at this property. Both times have been exceptional. We love the view, and our grandson loves feeding and petting the deer. The house is spacious so everyone can hang together or if privacy is what you’re needing it’s easy to find. I highly recommend.

My husband and I had a great time staying at this cozy cabin in the woods. We really just enjoyed just hanging out relaxing with our puppy’s. We saw elk and mule deer. We had everything thing we needed.

We recently spent time at this lovely home in Angel Fire and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The enclosed deck/patio was a huge plus—it gave our dogs a safe space to roam while we relaxed and took in the peaceful surroundings.Inside, the home was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The coffee bar was a charming touch, and we made great use of the grill thanks to all the provided necessities. The kitchen had all the cookware, utensils, and dishware we needed, making meal prep easy and enjoyable.There were plenty of cozy blankets and throws throughout the house, and I have to rave about the bath towels—OMG, they were sooo soft! Honestly, they were the best we’ve had in any rental, and we’ve been coming to Angel Fire for 12 years.The house instructions were clear and helpful, which made settling in a breeze. The fireplace was a little tricky to figure out, but that might’ve been user error. Internet connectivity was solid the entire time, which was great for both work and streaming.Overall, it’s a beautiful and private home that made for a relaxing and memorable stay. We highly recommend it and would absolutely return!

Wonderful getaway.

Grinning Bear Lodge was exactly as advertised. Quiet, peaceful, and yet close to activities and services. The lodge was very clean and well kept. Everything you need to stay and not leave if that’s what you want to do. Sit on the deck and view the wildlife and the stars. Even saw a bear on the property.

Paradise Found in Angel Fire!

What a perfect stay in Angel Fire! We loved our vacation at Grinning Bear Lodge. The home was beautiful and comfortable for our family’s 3 generations. Every room had personal touches that felt so welcoming! The bedrooms had comfortable beds and cozy blankets to snuggle under! The bathrooms had the fluffiest towels and so many extra products to make you feel right at home. The kids loved the game room and all the board games. The living room had plenty of seating for all of us and we loved snuggling each evening watching movies on the large TV. The kitchen was the best stocked that we have ever had in a vacation home! Our favorites included all the spices needed for cooking, a wonderful coffee bar, a waffle maker and of course the s’mores kit! The back deck was voted as our families favorite spot! The hot tub was luxurious, the fire pit was cozy and we enjoyed eating meals at the roomy table. The home is on a quiet street nestled in beautiful pine and aspen trees! We were thrilled to see deer and elk in our yard each evening! We will choose Grinning Bear lodge each time we visit Angel Fire!

Great place!

We will definitely stay here again! Great location and condo was very spacious and nice! Didn’t like paying $35 for a parking pass. We had a few minor issues but the condo and maintenance staff was quick to help.
