Cabin was adorable and immaculate clean! Cozy inside fireplace, we had it going every evening. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook and even nice dishes.Location was perfect for all the surrounding towns.Very quiet and peaceful area.

Relaxing and Beautiful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything about the cabin and amenities was exactly as advertised. The bed was very comfy and even though it is a small cabin it felt very spacious. We were even visited by some deer! I would highly recommend The Retreat to anyone.

Summer perfection

My wife and I had an amazing stay. Property was beautiful and immaculately clean. We had everything we needed and more. The host were fantastic. Loved all of the wildlife. Deer eating right next to our porch every morning. 5 stars.

Great place to stay!

The cabin was clean and comfortable. The amenities were great! The pictures were accurate. The on site host did an amazing job meeting all our needs. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful get away.

Harley trip

Nice place, clean and refreshed from the remodel. Easy check in and check out. Beautiful area just south of Angel Fire with lots of forest around the property. Only thing it was missing was to add a sitting area and/or back deck separate from the cabin next-door. Currently, you have to share the outdoor grill and sitting area with the cabin next-door.

Lovely Stay

Very nice location with views of mule deer grazing out the kitchen window in the morning and other times they were on the property. Very relaxing sitting in silence and listening to the birds and the aspen and pine trees. Cabin had very nice amenities, lovely bed, shower and other upgrades. Lady Slipper trail access was a plus for evening hikes. Will stay here again and recommend it very much.

A mountain paradise

Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and breathtaking retreat. Everything exceeded our expectations. The kids loved sleigh riding on the hills, making s’mores and getting up close to the deer that visited us every morning and evening. Just five minutes from the local supermarket and ski resort. Very peaceful and private. Can’t wait to make this a new family tradition.

Retreat Angel Fire - March 2021

overall great! cabin and quiet in beautiful trees. few improvements 1. plumbing needs to be up and running, commode rarely worked even when chemicals were put in. (fyi) 2. night lights did not work, unless I was crazy 3. TV nill! dish needs to be connected, not fair to guests. I realize technology can be challenge, or state ahead of time, Wolf 1 no TV (again some people go just for outdoors, some like news or a show at evening) 4. All AF roads need this, but more return business if you put gravel rock sand etc. on the entrance drive, and especially at the main road. We liked the retreat, thank you

Nice weekend

This property was exactly what we needed. It was a great place to stay for a weekend. Quiet and relaxing. The property is beautiful and the manager was very friendly and prompt to fulfill any requests. Awesome place to stay!

Quiet and clean

Beautiful and quiet location. The views are amazing! Lots of deer roaming around. The house was clean and cozy. They did great with communication. Only thing, the internet and TV wasn’t working very well but that wasn’t at all important to us. Great getaway from the city. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Fantastic cabins

Great cabin for our family of 3! Check in was very easy and they had smores ready for us when we were done settling in. The property managers we very helpful with all of our needs. Cabins had all that we needed for our stay. Kitchen and bathroom were clean and well stocked. The cabins are located just a short drive from Angel Fire. We will be staying here again.

Cute cabin

Cute cabin, great location. Very quiet. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed because we needed the futon for my 12 year old son to sleep on (the listing advertised the cabin could accommodate 4 people). When we got to the cabin, the futon was broken and in the bedroom. I called and asked if the futon could be moved to the living room. I was told that the futon wasn’t safe at all to use after a previous guest broke it “a few days ago” and they didn’t have a replacement. I said - so I guess this doesn’t actually sleep 4 people. We weren’t given any options to move cabins or told of the issue before we got there, no offer of an air mattress. Not having any other options, my son slept on a busted unsafe futon (really uncomfortable too FYI).

The Perfect Weekend

I came for the fall leaves. (I had planned a trip to Vermont.......didn’t happen....Angel Fire it is). Although I am a native New Mexican, it has been at least 40 years since I was last in Angel Fire. Shameful! The surrounding area was gorgeous with aspens and magnificent vistas. So much to do out of doors. The Retreat at Angel Fire was perfect as well. The cabin was private, spotlessly clean and very cozy. The owners are new and plan renovations. Excited to see what they do. I plan to come back. Highly recommend.
