So the hotel staff are friendly and speak a little English. The room we had was spacious with a large king size bed (not two singles pushed together) which was amazingly comfortable. The bathrooms could be updated to reflect 4star but 100% functional. Swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and gym room could get crowed but I used it in the day time and had it to myself. It seems to be a family orientated hotel with many European families here. The 'Irish' bar attached has a nice pool table, and large drinks example cocktail which is around 6.50-8.50euros is very large and very alcoholic. Happy hour - 4-6pm - on three types of larger dropped their price to around 1.50euro. We met two English parties from the hotel du pui next door and had a great evening in there. Location amazing just next to the gondola - so straight up the mountain to vallnord-pal arinsal. Ski shop also very close. The hotel has free ski lockers but for 14euro we hired one for two days in the entrance to gondola. Skiing was good with a selection runs. There did not seem to be a nursery run so had to remember how to ski on a large green run.. which was a little nerve racking but only for the first few times. Main negative was food. The food was buffet - breakfast had a selection of types of food from pastries , to cold meats and more local hot food like eggs and bacon etc. It was a standard quality. The evening buffet suffered mostly on the hot meat section which food was only luke warm. The selection was very continental in choices oppose to some hotels with very English choices. Though we are people who love to try different food it was disappointing as not done very well. Overall if I could redo it, I would just book the room. Eat breakfast up the mountain and dinner in a local restaurants like Cal Silvino. Parking - is very expensive at the hotel. We booked flights to Barcelona and then drove 3hrs to the Hotel in Andorra. The drive is not difficult but had to pay £49 for snow chains for the boot as a legal requirement in Andorra (or winter tyres). The the parking has cost £39 for three nights. So although driving seemed cheaper than the £200/2ppl transfer it probably hasn't been in the end. The hotel underground parking is horrifically steep with hairpin bends and would be very scary for any non confident drivers. I had a massage whilst at the hotel - the guy was 30mins late and gave me an hr instead of the 30mins I booked. But the hotel honoured the 30min price which is good as although it seemed longer at the time I assumed maybe he was running over as he was so late! If this hotel fixed their food! Updated their bathrooms and included parking with your booking as standard it could easily be a 5 star. We would return to La Massana and have previous stayed in Arinsal. I would say the comparison is Arinsal is a little more busy in the town with a larger English tourism if that is important to you.

A fabulous hotel Unlike most hotels this isn’t used by many British people . Fabulous service ,great food and very much catered for vegetarians and meat eaters as well as healthy options , dining room staff very helpful and friendly as was the bar staff . Rooms very cosy and spotless . Ingrams staff wasn’t based in the hotel but that didn’t prove difficult as all information was given by the hotel staff . Gondola on the doorstep up to the pistes , free ski lockers provided by the hotel ,ski hire shop 2 minutes walk away and fabulous coffee shop/bar/restaurant also 2 minutes away . Took a trip to Arcalis ski resort and free minibus provided by hotel instead of public bus . Reception staff worked hard to explain requirements needed and very much professional and friendly . We arrived late and cold salad and water provided in room . One downside was water had to be paid for but given the drinks in the hotel were very reasonable this wasn’t such a hardship . Cant say enough positives about this hotel as we thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to anyone who wishes to spend time in me messana

This is a really wonderful hotel and I would definitely return - the hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The beds are really comfortable (great mattresses!) We slept so well here. The hotel has a large / spacious Irish pub within it, which is very lovely for a drink - however, sadly nearly every night we were there the hotel only had 1 person working the bar (one night was a football game on - it took 30-40 minutes to be served). We felt so horribly sad for the poor lady working the bar - why does the hotel do this? I do not believe this is a one-off (staffing issue), we saw this every single night for the 6 nights we stayed. They shouldn't treat the bar staff like that. We tipped the bar lady well as we felt so very sorry for her. We complained at the reception desk about how she was being treated - there was little to no interest. The other thing I'd say is, the breakfast was really poor (HORRIBLE COFFEE and supposedly hot items like bacon/beans/eggs/mushrooms were stone cold every single morning). For breakfast, you'd be better going to one of the local cafe's - don't waste your money booking the included breakfast. The pool is tiny (nothing like the hotel pictures which make it seem huge). We went there for a swim and found a family of 5 had taken up the entire pool with a ball game - the pool was so small we couldn't get in. The jacuzzi / hot tub is also tiny and we could never get to use it (always full). So sadly, we took out swimming bathers there for no reason - anyway, don't expect to be able to use the pool if that's why you are choosing the hotel. Other than that, this is a lovely hotel, if they fixed those problems it would rate as excellent.

The hotel is well located, near the telepheric to transport you to the ski pistes. As would be expectable in a snow hotel, the space is not much, the rooms are small and there aren't common areas. It has its own parking área, although very difficult for large cars.

Excellent place to stay, the food here is of a wide variety and great quality. Rooms are clean and a decent size, they are cleaned daily. The hotel caters well for children, couples and groups. The only issue was the Wifi was so poor it was unusable. Ski lift is 5 minutes walk max. Large cages for your ski stuff, would go there again - please fix the wifi :)

I have always said if you go to a foreign hotel and its full of your own nationality or other tourists well then its a tourist hotel and expect what you get ! On the other hand if you go there and its full of its own nationality.... then there is hope that you have found a jewel in the crown. This place had loads of Spanish tourists along with some English speakers and lots of Russian tongues too. Things may be looking up. After checking in we checked out rooms. We were given adjoining rooms (5 of us) and although there was some difficulty getting the communal door unlocked it was eventually achieved. The rooms were spacious if a little dark, poor lighting for readers, memory foam mattresses very hot at night along with the heat of the room, the bathrooms were nice, clean and a plentiful supply of towels and hot water for showers. Shower gel supplied along with other nescessities. floor heated too. Mini bar in room quite expensive and fridge not very cold. Local supermarket a cheaper bet. Two lifts available to all floors. Ski lockers (holding 3 sets of skis) in basement 5e refundable deposit required. All dry in the morning. Food, restaurant located at lower ground floor (no natural light) and for ski season was a buffet for breckie and evening dinner. While some food did tend to run out persistence usually saw the staff replenish same, especially the seafood. Food quality and choice.... excellent. Staff pleasant and attentive. Limited bar food also available upstairs with happy hour from 4pm to 6pm but only on beer and wine 1/2 price. Nice barman.... not so nice barlady. Overall, having stayed in every resort in Andorra at this stage, La Massana and the Magic hotel I/we would gladly return next year. Its in an ideal location both the resort and the hotel and all at a fair price too....... how bad. Didn't get to try out the pool and spa on the 6th floor, so no comment, just remember these facilities are all extra charges. Oh and on extra charges. Keep your reciepts from drinks at dinner so you have proof when it comes to settling your bill at the end of your stay...... it avoids complications. Have fun !

I have not been here yet but I already look forward to book my next winter holidays in this hotel. The reason is the fact that my brother with his family was resting there a week ago and I wanted to send a gift to my 3-year old nephew. Though I planned everything in advance the parcel was not delivered to the hotel while my brother was still there. I contacted the hotel administration with the request to ship the parcel to my brother's home address when it is delivered. The staff of the hotel was very responsive and a few days later my gift parcel was on its way to my nephew. It just took one e-mail from me and the rest was done by amazing staff working in this hotel. When you see such a great team and customer oriented attitude you know for sure your experience with this hotel will be amazing! BTW, my brother with his family enjoyed their vacation there as well.

We booked here for a week at half term and though we were booked in with our friends but it turned out my friend had booked the sister hotel Magic Ski which is across the road! (beware of this easily to make mix up!) Even though both hotels were almost full the receptionists (Dina at Magic ski and Maria at Magic Massana) managed to juggle things so that after the first night our friends were able to join us at this hotel, no mean feat during a busy half term week! Rooms were clean and beds comfortable, food was good, plentiful and varied, waiting staff helpful (Angel lived up to his name), and the on site bar with pool table and table football was much appreciated by our 5 teenagers. Ski gondola is a very short walk away so access to the slopes a doddle and you are able to go out in the morning in ski boots ready to ski. Also 2 well stocked supermarkets next door and over the road to stock up on big bars of nestle! At the end of our stay i realised i was missing a scarf so Maria not only located it at the other hotel but managed to have it delivered to the reception at ours! Above and beyond the call of duty and one of the reasons why we are all keen to go again next year. They even sent us off at 5 AM with a breakfast picnic, how lovely is that? Thanks Magic, you were magic!

I stayed in this hotel for a skiing/snowboarding holiday in Feb 2016. Andorra is a long way from any of the airports (not the hotels fault) but after that long bus journey we arrived and the rooms were not ready.. this was a bit of a disappointment however not a big deal.. we left our luggage in the hotel and headed to the nearest pub for a few drinks.. The rooms were clean and big however I had a double room booked for myself and my girlfriend and ended up in a room which had 2 single beds pushed together.. this was not very comfortable and is definitely a downside to the hotel.. The food in the hotel was average.. but the food in any buffet is never going to be of a high standard.. The gin and tonic menu in the hotel bar is excellent though.. Wi-Fi in the hotel was not fantastic but was better than other hotels I have been to in Andorra.. All the gear shops and gondola are right behind the hotel so its location is excellent.. the hotel has lockers for your snowboard/skis also so you dont have to haul the gear up to the room.. Positive experience overall and would recommend it..

Great hotel, nice and tasty food in restaurant. Evening we can take a rest in Magic Bar.. great one!! Little spa.. with jacuzzi mini swimming pool and sauna it's okay. But the best is the location for ski.. 3 minutes to ski lift :)
