Good ski facilities, parking, very friendly staff. The rooms are spacious enough, however the beds are super uncomfortable (our double bed was small and squeaky) and the linen lacking. The kitchen is good as well as the full size fridge, however absence of any places to store your clothes, i.e. drawers, armoires, etc. detract fom the overall comfort. The on-site restaurant where breakfast is served feels more like a cantine and it's quite packed especially at the beginning of breakfast service with many patrons and their unbehaving children running around. It's a great choice if you wish to be close to the ski lifts (Funicamp) but the comfort should have been a bit better. It's more for families with children, if you're a group of adults, I'd go somwhere else.
We had an enjoyable stay here with the whole family. The apartments are nicely done up and quite comfortable and clean. However, in summer, it does get hot and the rooms are not airconditioned. If you open the windows for air, it gets very noisy as it is on the main highway to France.
Nice hotel, well situated, on site parking. Only downside was that the hotel was hot even with the windows open. Can get a taxi to town for 12e, nar next door does good coffee and up the road is a super market.
I agree with someone else's comment about the noise from the road. Choose a room at the rear. We did however have a good nights sleep. The room was immaculate, clean and very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable, even the sofa bed. The hotel is right next to the ski lift. There are plenty of restaurants a short walk down the hill into the town. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Would be more than happy to return again.
The hotel is literally right next to the Funicamp (cabin lift) that takes you up to the Encamp ski area. The hotel itself offers nice little apartments, with a fully equipped kitchen area. The restaurant serves a solid breakfast, indoor parking is available. We were quite pleased with our stay.
I've stayed here a couple of times before and I will continue in the future simply because of its great location, large and comfortable rooms and pleasant staff. For skiers and snowboarders this is the perfect place as everything you need is there. The ski lift that takes you to the center of the Grandvalira ski resort is just next door and at the ground level of the hotel you have a ski store where you can buy/rent equipment. Breakfast has a good variety and the staff were really kind and helpful, at times going above and beyond to accommodate your needs - of course don't forget to smile and show your appreciation :)
We were travelling Europe. Andorra is a beautiful place. This hotel is in a great location, the car park is pretty steep and awkward to get in to. The rooms are spacious, although the bathroom is a bit tight! We had a fly wacking evening, they were very interested in coming into the room. The views are superb and location in brilliant. We went in non ski season, but can imagine this is a great spot being basically next door to the ski lift. The receptionists were very helpful, we gave them a call to say we were going to be late due to the tunnel closure. They were very understanding, gave us codes to get in and details of what to do. Their English was superb! In the morning they gave us lot of information including bus times, the stop being just outside the door. It's very cheap to travel to the centre Andorra La Vella. Highly Recommended.
Location is super - closest hotel to the ski lift Funicamp. Very big room, all necessary things in a kitchen. Free internet, free towels, free lines for bed, free liquid to wash the dishes, shower accessories in a bathroom. The stuff was really nice and friendly, rooms are clean and food is fine. Stay at this hotel every time for a ski week in February for 10 years.
I prefer staying in apartments when I go skiing as it gives you the option to stay in and relax in the evenings after a long day skiing. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment here - I think it slept 4 but there were only two of us. The apartment was modern with plenty of space for the two of us. There was an open plan kitchen/living room, flat screen tv (but no channels in English so unless you speak French or Spanish it's of no use - so bring a portable DVD player and sone dvd's). There is underground parking here but it costs extra which I wasn't expecting. But it is cheaper than paying to park in the street. There's also ski lockers in the carpark (5 euro deposit for the key). There is a bar and restaurant at the hotel but we only went for a drink there once so can't really comment on how good it was. On to the location - it has very good and some not so good points. The ski lift is right next to the hotel so you can be heading up the mountain within a minute (it does take about 20 minutes to get to the top though). There's also a supermarket across the road where you can stock up on food and drink. The not so good point about the location is there's nowhere close by if you want to go for a drink or something to eat. There is a bus into Andorra city which leaves from just outside the hotel every minutes (I think its 2 euros) or a taxi is about 12 euros. Pas de la casa is about a 30 minute drive away and has better nightlife than Andorra but someone won't be able to drink.
Plane "Kolavia" which has taken off from Moscow with a delay about hour, delivered us in the airport of Barcelona. Fans of the Madrid "Real" which plane also should sit down at this time met us. Landing in buses and a transfer with a stop at small restaurant where it is possible to have a bite, has occupied about 4 hours. In profit hotel in 12 nights local time. The man on a reception has very operatively made our placing. Thus it was necessary to show the credit card data on which 150 euros pledge undertook number equipment. In number we waited a cold supper which we have warmed up in a microwave and have gone to bed. Number at us was on 3 floor, on street. In number a bedroom, with 2 beds. A drawing room with a sofa, the TV and a table. Through a partition a kitchen corner with all necessary for cooking. The combined bathroom with a shower booth. All equipment in good enough condition. For an exception of a microwave which worked and at an open door. In number daily cleaning was made. For a week of times have replaced bed-clothes and changed towels of time 2. Lockers for storage of the ski equipment took place on-3 a floor (in a cellar). The returned deposit undertook a key from a locker 5 euros. We stored skis as boots there didn't dry up – boxes without heating in it. A food included breakfasts and suppers. Breakfasts are plentiful enough. There was a hot omelette, 3 kinds of sausages hot. Cold dishes: cheeses, ham. The rolls, different jams, juice, tea, coffee, yogurts, flakes with milk. In general to eat was that. From little tables near a window the kind on surrounding mountains opened. Snow on them weren't. Supper at 20.00, a food under the menu. A choice from 4 dishes of 3 kinds. Drinks for a payment. A food for a supper was pleasant to us. A bottle of wine from 9 euros. In hotel there is spa a room, including to boors, a jacuzzi, a shower. Have visited just once, cost 6 euros on the person in an hour. For the present warming up of muscles after a temperature wheelchair in boors it is obvious not enough (45-48 degrees). Lift Funicamp in 50 m from hotel. Dressed in a ski room boots, took skis and there. From the guide in the first day have bought skipass at a discount 15 %, which to us distances for tour purchase likely for 2 months. Driving has passed perfectly and positively. From number lack. Noise from cars in the street. It was necessary to insert cotton wool. Slept with the slightly opened window and when the window opens heating in number is disconnected - boots don't dry. At the closed windows of oxygen at night in air at daybreak didn't suffice. There went in capital, 10-15 minutes by the bus – 1,5 euros in one party. In Enkamp have visited ethnographic museum Cal Cristo and a museum of cars. The ethnographic museum represents a small building in 3 floors, each floor a maximum of 20-25 sq. meters. It is the house of construction of 18-19 centuries in which people earlier lived. In 1947 they have left also the house has been redeemed under a museum, conditions was saved for that time. In a museum of cars there are interesting enough samples, since the end of 19 centuries and on the beginning of 80 years of 20 centuries. Models of motorcycles and bicycles are presented. At departure from hotel (checkout time of 10-12 mornings) have paid drinks and services спа. The bus delivered back in the airport of Barcelona, with a stop to a having a snack. At landing the airport personnel operated not especially quickly, accepting luggage and registering passengers. Therefore, and also that landing occurred in the most distant exit of the terminal, about distance to which the people haven't warned also it slowly came in the land, through duty free and other pleasures. The departure was late minutes on 15. In Moscow in Domodedovo the baggage claim has occupied too almost hour, the airport have left in 2 nights. In general had a rest well.
