Very good hotel with nice spacey rooms. Would benefit from having an oven but otherwise fine. Pool was good, could get busy at times. Good location, close to many of the larger towns and walking paths.
It was our experience) Our company consisted of 7 people and booked this hotel. When we came in to it, the reseptionist told us that only we in this hotel, because it doesn't season for Andorra (it was the end of September). Of course, according with it, the building was cold, but in our rooms we found a few heaters, they helped us very much) The hotel is situated in such beautiful place-if you look into the window you will see the mountains and grass! It's incredible! The room was with kitchen, but we didn't use it. The bathroom clean and comfortable, the linens the same. So we were happy that this hotel was opened for us)
The hotel is old but clean. The beds and not really comfortable, but for short period is ok. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nothing special, there is no big choice. The heating is working perfectly, there is plenty of hotels water. The surrounding is splendid!
It may be a very different story in the ski season but in the summer, Annapurna is unfeasibly good value. Our group of four stayed in an apartment with kitchenette and two bathrooms for less than the cost of a decent hostel. Being effectively out of season, the hotel's reception and restaurant are not manned in the summer - you have to go to the adjacent campsite for these facilities, but that's just a few yards across the car-park. There's also a nice swimming pool on the campsite that hotel guests can use too. Rooms are clean and tidy, maybe a little basic but they have everything you need. My only minor gripe is that my bed seemed a little hard. Ansalonga itself is tiny, but the hotel is less than a mile and a half from Ordino, which has much more going for it.
My husband and I stayed 5 nights in this aparthotel several weeks ago,and I am only now getting to write the review unfortunately. We will always hold in my our memory the absolute top-class warmth, excellent English and supreme kindness of Mayra, the receptionist who came from Argentina, who helped us with every single detail and request. It was her friendliness, enthusiasm and positivity that is really memorable in an often cynical world where a tourist is normally just treated as a commodity. In nearly 2 years of our travels all around the world,Mayra stands out as someone who restores your faith in the kindness of human nature. It is not her job,it is beyond her duty,it is something she brings to the job that makes a guest feel they matter. She is an invaluable asset to any hotel! The apartment was comfortable, quiet, and good value, overlooking a river with everything you'd need. Great wifi too .Also worthy of mention was Luis who is now manager and referred us to the hotel while working elsewhere. He saw our needs budget-wise and treated us with real respect and warmth. If only other hotels could show this level of customer service. So well done and thank you to Mayra and Luis! If we ever come back to Andorra this is the first place we will return to!
We stayed at Annapurna for a couple of nights in August. Driving up from Barcelona was a breeze and great to arrive in the colder temperatures of Andorra. Finding the aparthotel was fairly easy. Check in was fast although the lady in reception won't win many points on cheerfulness. Rooms were basic but fine. We were 4 adults and 2 kids in a two bedroom apartment. More than enough space. Water pressure and temperature was incredible, invaluable if you plan on some hikes or other physical activities. Beds were ok, nothing more, nothing less. Internet speed (and WiFi reception) was horrible, to the point where it was unusable. Shouldn't really be mentioned as a feature. On-site facilities as described, if not better. Overall: 8/10. Would definitely return in summer but might be too far away from the ski areas in winter. Price is hard to beat though.
Stayed with 3 friends in a 2 bedroom apartment during a driving holiday through Spain and France. The apartment complex was very quiet as it was out of season. The apartment was spacious and very clean with good facilities; we made use of the outdoor swimming pool. A thoroughly enjoyable stay which I would certainly reccommend at such a cheap price. The country was beautiful in the Summer and we enjoyed amazing views on a ski lift to the top of one of the mountains!
