About 30 mins after we arrived maintenance knocked and walked into our room. Didn’t wait for us to call them in or answer the door. They apologized and everything was good. Then about 3 and 1/2 hour after we arrived housekeeping just walked in. No knocking or anything. Now we should’ve engaged the locks after the first time, but we forgot and usually only do that at night while sleeping. Won’t make that mistake again. We let the front desk know but we felt like nothing was really done. The second time it happened we were indisposed. We left our kids at home so we wouldn’t get walked in on or have someone knocking on our bedroom door during sexy time. About an hour after all of that house keeping knocked on our door after we had the do not disturb sign on the knob, at least they waited for us to answer this time. They said they were sent because we requested towels and water. We did not. So they’re communication among staff needs some help if something.

Dishonest advertising

We chose this hotel, though it was expensive because it had a hot tub and an airport shuttle. these were the only 2 filters I used when entering my info into the hotels.com website. When we checked in we discovered the hot tub was broken. Later when I called from the room to book the shuttle, we were told there was no shuttle service. When I explained it was listed as having a shuttle, the receptionist informed me that they had not undated the website info. We were not entitled to a discount or refund to move to another hotel because we had booked through hotels.com. This was all infuriating nonsense.

Check-in process and staff were good. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Shower water pressure was non-existent and outside street noise, noise from upstairs guests and hallway is why rating is lower.

So much better than the downtown hotels we stayed in. The hotels downtown are older and run down and crawling with cruise passengers. This is a newer hotel: clean, well lit, quiet, fun, nicely decorated, nice staff, good vibe. You can't walk a lot of places and the view is of a gas station, but of the four hotels I stayed in on a trip to Anchorage, this is the only one I would book again. 5 minute drive to everything.

I requested for no room service since I left all my luggage open when we went out for visiting. We specifically instructed the front desk for not anyone to enter, or not to do any room cleaning. However, someone still entered the room while we were out. We really did not know what items missing, or luggage moved. Front desk did not really care when I complained and did not like the response received from supposed to be one of the best hotels in town.
