Stayed here for a few nights and overall liked our stay. Pros: nice property, nice room, good location in Anacapri (10min/EUR 20 Cab ride from main center Capri), good bar, excellent breakfast. Cons: some emloyees with an attitude, pool deck chairs slightly run down (admittedly a detail). Overall we found this hotel very nice, but too expensive for what it is - but then again, you’re on Capri so probably have to expect the price point. Definitely worth trying, just don’t expect it to be perfect.
My husband and I spent four days at this property with our two year old son (who admittedly was the only other child we saw at the hotel during our stay). We had an absolutely wonderful time in every way. As it was our anniversary we were given a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful sea view suite which was spacious and beautifully decorated. The food at the hotel was faultless and it seems impossible to have a bad meal. The Michelin star restaurant was excellent. The food, service, ambience were all excellent and the food and beverage manager, Andrea, does a brilliant job as do all of his staff who go out of their way to make you feel special and ensure the service is excellent from start to finish. The pool boy is extremely polite and always smiling and this applies to everyone at the hotel. The property itself is in central AnaCapri. Since it’s a small island it is very centrally located which means it’s very, vert busy outside but this wasn’t an issue for us not least because of the tranquility on offer at the hotel. I started planning our return moment after arriving at the hotel because it’s one of those properties where you just know it’s going to be memorable and somewhere you’ve got to go back to time and again!
The breakfast buffet was incredible...the wait staff was amazing...the pool was great...the spa was on point...the turn down service was quick and efficient...the concierge was so helpful and on top of all your needs. I want to live here!!
Couldn’t thank this hotel enough for their wonderful hospitality during my recent stay. I’d highly recommend it for a luxury few days away especially on account of their outstanding food which is superb, definitely the highlight of the holiday!
This is our 5th visit to the Hotel. We continue to come back for the simple reason it is spectacular. Yes it is expensive but the attention to detail, the professionalism of the staff and the decor all make it worthwhile. Fredrico the pool attendant is ever attentive, polite and a wealth of information. Antonio the bar manager is professional and always stops for a chat, he also makes excellent recommendations and can reserve tables at the best restaraunts even on a busy Saturday night. We arrived on a Friday and luckily that night the Hotel were hosting a gin night. Gins from around the world accompanied by fritto misto all complimentary. An excellent touch. All in all the Hotel excels and we will be returning again.
Me and & others (including four under 15's) stayed at the capri Palace for two nights. From the moment we arrived, all the staff were beyond helpful in checking us in and showing us to our beautiful rooms. The rooms are beautifully decorated and luxurious, resulting in us have two great nights of sleep. The large swimming pool is staffed by a pool man who was incredibly sociable and gave us very good advice on interesting things to do in the area. On our first night, we had dinner in the restaurant and it was one of the most amazing meals I have ever experienced in my entire life. From the outstanding food to the brilliant service, i cannot think of any ways that the evening could have been improved. A special mention goes to Pascale and Stefania for being especially helpful. Additionally, as well as the food the waiters bring round trolleys of tea, cheese and sweets after your meal to which my children thoroughly enjoyed. Overall a brilliant stay with world class service and rooms.
Well here we were staying in ‘the best hotel in Capri’... Not true. It’s OK - as it does what is says on the tin. It’s posh. It’s expensive. It is however a ‘hotel’ and you will always feel that. We booked a sea view exec room - it had a sea view but also a view of the bins. We rang to see if they could change and we told we could for just and extra 1000 Euro a night! Minibar was I stocked with no alcohol - bar two beers and when I asked for it to be filled up was told they don’t do that, use room service. When I’m getting ready I don’t want to wait 30 minutes for a glass of ‘ poo or a gin and tonic. Excellent views from the bar, nice barman, nice lounges. Burgers from room service great, breakfast in bed better. Bed very comfy. Pool guy was nice but the towels and mattresses were faded and old. Pool has underwater windows that tourists look into to see who’s swimming, odd. So, net net a good hotel but not spectacular. It should be, and could be.
This was our first time visiting Capri as a couple, first romantic holiday. We booked a week's stay in the Capri Palace Hotel. Apart from the hotel being lovely, the highlight of our stay was definitely all the nights in the bar degli Artisti. Drinks, drinks and more drinks, cocktail after cocktail, we've never tried such amazing drinks before, our personal favorite being the Jackie. Antonio, the bar manager, was such a delight to be around, making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable, he is such a lovely person to run the place! Not to mention Ciro, who was extremely helpful and always at our disposition. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great time (and drink!).
The Hotel in all aspects particularly service is top notch , with regard to L'Olivo the 2 Michelin Star Restaurant which is manged by Andrea is exceptional in both service and quality of the food . However Andrea and his team need to train and educate the staff at the hotels other 1 star Michelin Star Restaurant ( I'l Riccio ) at their beach location where the food particularly the fish lacks taste and the staff are far to full of their own importance and not that of the customer and when paying the bill at this restaurant it is worth checking that the wine price charged is the same as advertised on the menu
Bravo, thank you for a wonderful stay. Your rooms, Family ( staff ) are first class. We arrived via Helicopter from Rome and we were treated with kit gloves. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo! I will never forget our experience at L’Olivo restaurant, and I recommend to all.
