The usual business hotel Location 5/10 far away from train and metro station and in an area with nothing around Ambience 6/10 not very exciting design - boring Cleanliness: 9/10 Room: rooms are big and comfortable
Great hotel with super friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, free wifi. easy access to city centre by Taxi, bus or tram. Great walks nearby, superb shopping centre Gelders Plein. The tops!
This is a very satisfactory hotel for a short stay. It is easily reached from Schiphol airport, and provides clean and functional rooms with free wi-fi. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast is good with a range of different foods available.
Me and my girlfriend wanted a weekend in Amsterdam. As most places in the city centre are quite expensive or do not live up to our standards we decided to look a little further and came to NH Zuid. Half an hour away from Amsterdam central station it is located in a quite neighborhood. The hotel staff was very welcoming and nice. They made sure that everything was taken care of, even when we wanted to get in the sauna they made sure it was up to heat at our preferred time. The sauna offered complementary towels and water, which was very nice! We had a room on the 6th floor. Nothing to complain about, the room was mostly tidy and housekeeping did a good job in between days. The only remark both me and my girlfriend shared was that the shower temperature was very much fluctuating as you were showering, so you were constantly adjusting the lever. Nevertheless, for this price/quality I would definitely recommend!
Quiet, simple, ordinary hotel. With some degraded rooms and spaces. Not near the airport neither the city. Good restaurant, nice staff. Should be other hotels nearby with better quality and location..
Decided to visit the Netherlands for 3 days. Hotel is very near the airport, easy to get to due to the highway near the hotel, modern and a great overall appearance. Check-in is very quick. Room are modern, alot of space (although this changes from room to room), small but decent bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The thing that bothered me the most were the two seperate blankets on the beds, during the night I woke multiple times because of this small but annoying thing. You try sleeping with your wife in one bed with two (small) blankets. Every day after breakfast we hang the "clean my room please card" on the doorknob but the housekeeping limits this "cleaning" to pulling straight the blankets and putting the pillows right. At arrival in the room we opened up a beer to drink to this little vacation, we were suprised that the housekeeping did not take away the used glass, the glas just remained there till we left, I guess after we did the check-out they must have took away the dirty glasses to prepare the room for other guests. Well I hope. Breakfast is decent, alot of choices between foods. Too bad we stumbled upon a group of 30 indians, that took the food with THEIR HANDS instead of the proper foodtongs that are INFRONT of the food. It took away my appetite and also my wife's. Check-out was quick, and I have to compliment Mariska at the front desk for listening to us about the problems and inconveniences we had during our stay. She apologized straight away and make sure we left with a smile on our face. Also a special thanks to Thiago for preparing the little surprises in the rooms. Overall the front desk team is very kind.
One of if not the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel and rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean! Fantastic transport links. The staff will go above and beyond to help in anyway. My boyfriend proposed to me in Amsterdam and the staff at the hotel helped him plan everything and got in contact with the venue he proposed at so they would open early and let us in so we had the place to ourselves. The staff helped my partner to keep the whole thing a total surprise for me! When we returned to the hotel, the staff had a surprise for us, a beautiful chocolate platter and a bottle of champagne for free! Pictures included. I recommend this hotel to anyone, it’s a lovely place to stay and we will be back.
NH AMsterdam January 2018. Excellent stay with spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. Perfect location and shuttle transfer really convenient. Personal at reception and restaurants really helpful and polite. Happy to come back again. Thanks
NH Zuid is outside the city of Amsterdam in a quiet mixed use area of office and residential blocks. Wide streets and parks complement the area, but you will need some time to make your way to the old town. The hotel itself is housed in an unremarkable building but one that offers good space. The room was particularly good. Spacious with a comfortable working area, no dirty carpets and a room wide window. Quiet and with efficient service the place will not be the star of your visit but a comfortable backdrop.
Very welcoming staff. Nice big spacious room and bathroom. very clean. Very good continental breakfast, lots of variety. i had dinner in the restaurant on the first night as it was late. Don't think the prices match the food quality. not much to choose from. I was disappointed with the house keeping. On the first night found the shower cap box empty. Second night found my dirty coffee mug had been not been cleaned and the waste paper bin had not been emptied. Room was too hot and the bed covers only went so far up the bed. Even so i would stay again and would recomend the hotel, I would personally point these things out to staff on another stay.
