Hotel Herbergh Amsterdam Airport

We were looking for an inexpensive hotel close the airport. We didn't realize it didn't have an elevator and our room was on the second floor, but the hotel staff graciously took our luggage up the long flight of stairs. The hotel is within 15 minutes of the airport, but they don't have a shuttle. You could take a hotel bus to a neighboring hotel and walk the 1 block over to the hotel, but we chose a cab 20 Euros. The hotel had 2 restaurants on site. We ate at the Pizza/Italian place. Delicious. We had a room with two single beds. Not a huge space but enough room for 2. I would book this hotel again.

This is a quaint little place, a welcome change from the large hotel chains with its home-like qualities. Very clean, friendly staff and declicious food. Airport shuttle from Dorint Hotel across the street was convenient and timely. I enjoyed my stay very much and would go back again in a heartbeat.

Free shuttle, close to the airport & an excellent restaurant for dinner when staying over one night. Clean & polite staff

Excellent value for money. Service andeals outstanding.

Clean, comfortable. Loved it. Easy transport from the airport. Friendly staff. Very accommodating. Breakfast was 15 euro so I went elsewhere.

Stayed here for one night during my return trip to the states. This hotel is a little gem waiting to be found. The Italian restaurant attached had fabulous food and the outdoor seating a plus. Wait staff was super friendly as were the staff in the hotel lobby. First time I was walked to my room and shown info I needed to know. The free shuttle to and from the airport is a huge plus since at Christmas the hotel we stayed at during a return trip to the states cost of 5 euros each way (we had a group of five) so it added up. Would stay again on an overnight trip if needed.

This is a good choice for staying close to Schipol airport. The shuttle is convenient. Breakfasts are overpriced and there are limited restaurant choices in the area. Both are a part of the hotel.

I was traveling from Berlin via Amsterdam to the States with an 18 hour layover and did not want to spend a fortune getting home. The Hotel de Herbergh fit the bill. The staff, who speak flawless English, are great. There is a choice of an Italian for French restaurant. I went with the Italian place and had a nice dinner. The room was nice and tidy. It had 2 twin beds, TV, bathroom and free WiFi. The hotel is a short ride from the airport via the free shuttle. I highly recommend the Hotel de Herbergh.

For an airport hotel this property is a real jewel. It is a family owned and operated hotel with two great restaurants. My only tip would be to make a reservation for the restaurant of your choice as they quickly fill with locals; these are problems I can deal with! If you have time, groceries, shops, and local bars are a short walk towards the canal. Overall we were very impressed with the hotel.

Traveling back to the US from Rome. Could not get a connecting flight for the same day, so we needed to spend the night in Amsterdam. Picked this hotel for price and convenience. Worked on both points. Arrived at 7:30 in the evening, had dinner in the hotel, hit the sack up at 6:30 to return to the airport and catch the flight home. Hotel had a bit more of a "dutch" feel that the other hotels in the area. Even the walk from the Novotel, destination for the shuttle, was easy.
