The room was supposed to be non smoking and it stunk of stale smoke Couldn't sleep due to smell

It was almost totally empty, so it was creepy like a ghost town,

I was heading to Oberlin Conservatory for Family Weekend and stayed here at Days Inn in Amherst. It was very clean and it had a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, ect.. The bed was comfortable and clean. Towels were soft. Bathroom was clean. I will stay there again when visiting.

The place was physically not clean, with the checkin counter/desk being cluttered and grimy. The lady behind the desk asked me if I could go out and purchase cigarettes for her and and it felt like the mattress was just a box spring, the most uncomfortable sleep of my life.

Booked on travel site was charged from travel site and the hotel horrible customer service I won't be back!!

If you're spending little time in the hotel because you're out and about or just overnighting, this is all you need. It's affordable; has clean rooms with iron, ironing board, hair drier, mini fridge and coffee pot; gives you plenty of hot water; and has a pool and decent TV. Two family-style restaurants nearby plus fast food, drug store, gas, convenience stores. There was persistent trouble with the WiFi, though. Continental breakfast ends too early for this late riser. BEST THING: variety of pillow sizes and firmness, because one size does NOT fit all!

Even for an out-of-the-way highway motel, this was below average. Things were old, and not kept up well. The bed was clean and comfortable enough, or else this would be a one-star joint.

Hotel was exactly what we thought. Clean, quiet and pet friendly. Staff was friendly except. Cleaning staff did not speak english. Front desk 1 of 2 I had interaction with was fantastiic, other was average.

good location..nothing fancy..breakfast good..needs renovated..

faulty electrical outlet, sparked when microwave was turned on, management never repaired, corporate and fire marshall notified

I was looking for a simple hotel while visiting Cedar Point and this one was a decent price without any problems. The pool looked refreshing but I didn't have time to use it.

The only problem with this hotel is the heating. It's either Hot or cold, no in between.

two rooms, six adults, two night stay, very clean, friendly staff, very nice continental breakfast, will keep this in files to rebook if necessary.

We came to Amherst to visit Oberlin College, and didn't know the area at all. We figured Days Inn would be inexpensive and a respectable place to stay. This turned out to be the absolute worst hotel we've ever been in. Not a single blade of grass or plant in sight, in ugly strip of shops and chain restaurants. The hotel is older, and yes, it has been painted, and seems to be clean...but they haven't replaced anything in ages. My mattress was broken, sheets had tears and holes in them. I leaned against the "headboard" (actually just nailed to the wall) and it fell on my head. Towels were removed in the morning, but when we returned at 5:00pm, the room hadn't been cleaned. She came at 5:30, and we said not to bother. We didn't try the breakfast. We tried to get out of this when we arrived, but there were no refunds, since we booked through [...]. We will never book this way again. The Denny's is also very old, unclean, and we left without ordering. Please try somewhere else.

Hotel was fine. It was clean, quiet and allows pets. Staff took care of my problem quickly. I checked in at 2AM and my TV remote control did not work, clerk came up with a new remote and programed it to work with the TV immediately.

Longest check-in procedure I've ever experienced. Asked for my ID, credit, e-mail, phone number, ages of my kids ... must have taken 7-10 minutesd just to check in. Breakfast was the worst of the three hotels we stayed at on vacation. Waffles were the toaster variety, not a waffle iron. Nothing hot on the menu. Location was not a place where you would want to be out walking around. Room smelled stale. It was, however, the largest room of the trip. Overall, it was OK for one night but I'm glad we weren't staying longer.

front desk wasn't has helpful as he could have been.

This was by far the worst hotel we've stayed at. Manager was very rude and acted like we were a bother to him. The first room we went to smelled strongly of urine and when we requested another room the manager rolled his eyes at us. Also the first room had a microwave when we went to our second room it didn't have one and we were told we didn't get one. Was told the pool opened at 9 a.m. and found that to be a lie it opened at 10a.m., at 10:15 had to have the manager open the pool for us. And again acted irritated. The continental breakfast was an absolute joke as well.

The facility is an older building but efforts have been made to keep it up. Our room was very clean but the A/C unit was not totally effective. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast area is very clean and pleasant. Limited selection on food. The staff was friendly. This hotel is very convenient to Oberlin College.

Experience was very good. The staff in this hotel was top notch in everyway possible. I mean from the cleaning crew to the front desk workers and everyone else inbetween!
