Really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful scenery and well-maintained property. Having the property manager living on site was great as he was readily available to answer any questions. All the comforts of a hotel without the hotel.

Glamping adventure
Our first "glamping" experience. Owner happened to be there, when we arrived. He was super friendly. We enjoyed a simple picnic style dinner on the table outside our cabin. There was a grill, but we did not use it. We did light a small camp fire, which was unexpected, given it was the middle of July. In the morning, we came prepared, based on prior feedback and brought our coffee maker. We enjoyed listening to the birds chirp, while sitting on the deck, while we sipped our coffee and ate some yummy muffins purchased from the Amish markets (Keim / Millers) the day before. The site's restrooms / sinks / shower facilities were super clean. If you've never tried "glamping" - give this place a try! Very unique. All kinds of things to do in Adams County (eg. hiking, fishing, sight seeing, etc.).

Cute tiny rustic cabin
We stayed for a long weekend and the cabin was cute, charming and cozy. Rustic yet modern enough for a relaxing stay. Cabin, Bath house and picnic area were exceptionally clean and overall in good repair, they cabin gets 2 billion-gazillon bonus points from this reviewer for having the handheld shower head in the women's shower! . This is out in the country so no cell service, but a wifi with speeds as one would expect of this remote area allowed for electronic entertainment if needed. There is no refrigerator or coffee maker in the cabin, so come prepared for that. For food, we brought cooler with ice and used our portable cast iron grill but they do have a charcoal grill onsite that we didn't know about, but that's our fault for not asking. We greatly enjoyed the fire pit. They even had two chairs and firewood. Small kindling was around the area thanks to the trees. Local wildlife was seen, including deer, feral mama cat and her kittens, and a local community dog who kept to himself but made his presence known. One is smart to bring bug spray for outside if they are yummy to mosquitos, whom happened to dine on me day and night while outside the first day as I forgot to spray. You are in the woods and near waterways so they are to be expected. The nearest store is blue creek grocery, about 15 minutes away and they have most anything you could need, Walmart in w. Portsmouth is 35-40 minutes away along with fast food options. We fished at Shawnee State Park and caught 9 bluegill and a largemouth bass. Very fun!
Exceptional stay overall.

Simple Cabin
Overall the cabin was quaint and comfortable. The property was not what was expected but beautiful nonetheless. The owner was very helpful with good communication.
Only concern— location is less than ideal. It is listed that Carter Caves State Park is 26 miles away… however it is a 70 minute drive. There is also no grocery store or restaurant within 30 minutes so plan ahead.
