We loved our stay! Salvatore, Angelo and the entire staff were fabulous. The breakfast was excellent and they had accommodations for my dietary needs (gluten and dairy free). The view is worth every penny! We loved the private water access and hot tub. The walk to Amalfi is beautiful and there are amazing restaurants just nearby as well. We definitely recommend!

We had a very lovely experience, thanks to the special attention of Salvatore, Angelo and all the staff of Villa Santa Maria. The location of the hotel is exceptional and being able to walk to the ocean and swim is very special. Loved all the steps on the property. It would have been nice to use the sauna but it was out of order. Otherwise everything was perfect and I would definitely come back and recommend.

Villa Santa Maria is nothing short of magical. Perched on the edge of Amalfi, it offers the best of both worlds—just minutes from the charm of the historic town, yet with its own secluded private beach and the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean right at your doorstep. My husband and I spent a week here, and from the moment we arrived, every detail felt like a dream. We were welcomed by Salvatore, the wonderful hotel manager, who instantly made us feel part of the Villa Santa Maria family. His warmth and care set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The entire team went above and beyond—Angelo, the kind night manager, always ready with a smile; his cheerful companion Gerardo; and the two lovely ladies who served us breakfast each morning as if we were old friends. Their genuine hospitality made every moment feel special. This was more than just a holiday—it was an experience we’ll never forget. The beauty of the villa, the warmth of the people, and the serenity of the sea combined into something truly extraordinary. For anyone who doesn’t mind a few steps, I couldn’t recommend Villa Santa Maria more highly. We can’t wait to return!

This villa is the ultimate!!!! we had an incredible time staying here. So much to offer and more!!!!!! It is just like the pictures!!! A big shout out to Sal, and all his staff. This is the BEST hotel in Amalfi. The staff is genuinely so kind and truly care about ALL of their guests and really treat you like family while you are here. The breakfast is phenomenal. We enjoyed every single aspect of this hotel. The views are absolutely incredible. Really will recommend this hotel to everyone going to Amalfi. They helped give us recommendations and make sure we were comfortable getting around. Really have nothing but over the top, positive things to say about Villa Santa Maria.

Amalfi’s hidden gem

Our stay at Villa Santa Maria was absolutely unforgettable. Even with just 2 days and 3 nights, the concierge, Salvatore, made us feel welcomed right from the start. He personally guided us over the phone upon our arrival in Amalfi and remained readily available throughout our stay—whether it was helping us with directions, recommendations, or even navigating the local bus schedule. We stayed in the Junior Villa Suite, which offered plenty of privacy, stunning views, and a relaxing hot tub. Breakfast was delicious every morning—don’t miss ordering the fruit of the day! Overall, we would gladly return to Villa Santa Maria on a future trip to Amalfi, thanks largely to the exceptional hospitality Salvatore provided.

A true gem in Amalfi

Amazing simple little hotel. Great location, a cozy private beach (expect lots of stairs, as usual in Amalfi), nice breakfast, comfortable beds. Excellent service orchestrated by Sasa. Location quite comfortable, walkable to the Amalfi center, plus busses. Several nice restaurants within short walking distance. There are lots of stairs to the stree level but that's Amalfi. Highly recommended, hope to come back.

Comfortable stay and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They reached out to me ahead of time to provide location details and find out our arrival time. The hotel is around 200? steps down from the road. After finding out that we were driving there they gave me some options. We could either park it with them but would not have easy access since it’s not stored onsite or park on the narrow street. We parked on the street. A staff member greeted us by the road and helped get our heaviest pieces of luggage’s down the stairs.

I didn’t realize Italy was actually this amazing. Salvatore and his team were super friendly and accommodating. I brought my 74 year old grandma here and they treated her like family. Don’t have anything to complain about. Are all Italians this amazing?
