we stayed there as part of a large family trip 10 people 1 baby to boot! hotel is spectacular being an old convent converted to hotel.. but the best aspect is impeccable and warm service by everyone. All our daily trips were planned by the team and all changes accomodated with a smile..we loved this amazing hotel and highly recommend it to all.. amalfi coast is no doubt stunning.. but its places like these and people like these who make it truly special.. thanks tons Antonella Flavia Marzia and the entire team!
This hotel is a dream! Breathtaking views, outstanding and very personal service, best hotel breakfast we have ever had and only a 10 minute walk to Amalfi's city centre. The infinity pool is amazing and the best place to relax after a long day of nature hikes. We will for sure go back!
We just had the pleasure of having our wedding at the Grand Convento. We received impeccable service from the planning stages through the wedding night. Antonio Sebastiano was responsive, gracious, and patient in helping us with planning every detail of our event. He accommodated our guests’ special needs and requests, and even upgraded one of our family rooms to meet our need for an extra bed. The hotel is beautiful and has an amazing view. Our guests enjoyed the quiet areas to sit and look out over the bay, and the pool area. Our family members with mobility issues utilized the free hotel shuttle into the center of town. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful, as were all of the wait staff. We especially appreciated Diego’s efforts on our wedding day to provide excellent dinner service. Giuseppe was our waiter for most of the week, and welcomed us with kindness and even remembered everyone’s breakfast drink orders during the week. We had our wedding in the cloister, which has stunning architecture and a lovely view. The hotel helped organize our outside vendors and kept the event running smoothly. They made planning a wedding from abroad easy and were even willing to receive some packages we had sent ahead of the event. We are so thankful to have been provided such excellent service as it made our stay and our wedding even more wonderful. We would highly recommend the hotel for private events.
This hotel has it all. Amazing service from the moment you step foot in their properties, amazing breakfast and probably the best views you will ever get right out of your window of Amalfi. Another great advantage is the fact that they take care of the parking for you which is hugely important in mute whole Amalfi coast
The hotel has a stunning view on Amalfi and on the sea. The gardens are beautiful and breakfast on the terrace is a unforgettable experience. The restaurant is very good. But above all I would like to stress the service from the staff which raises above expectation- the restaurant staff especially was exceptional !
Amalfi is one of the gems of the Coast. Everybody knows that. But what makes it really special are the people. That have built beautiful hotels, and manage them to let you have a unique experience. This hotel is a perfect example of this. The team makes this unique structure a home, areal experience, a little paradise. From the Maitre d'hotel of the restaurant and his team to the reception and the concierges are efficient, nice and friendly. After a great breakfast and being taken care by them you would start the day in a fantastic mood! Many 5 stars hotels in the world could learn from them. Definitely one of the best places to enjoy a holiday.
We had a 3 nights at this great hotel. An amazing location up inside the rocks, an amazing decoration and one of the best services we ever had. The rooms are big and fully equipped, the breakfast is amazing and they will cook anything you ask for. And they even got a shuttle service to the city plus "call us if you need an extra drive... we will pick you". It's a high cost hotel which defiantly deliver. Thanks for the great experience.
The Hotel is absolutely beautiful and sea view was gorgeous. Amazing staff and services, rooms welcoming. Relaxing atmosphere for those are looking a real reason to spend a right holiday in Amalfi coast. Food was really tasty, with perfect mix of traditional dishes and innovation. SPA center impeccable and employees very professional. Location dreamy as expected from the pictures and nearby the city center attanaible on foot. Perfect hotel and experience! *****
If you are trying to decide on a hotel in Amalfi town look no further. A few minutes walk from the town centre and perched on the side of the infamous Amalfi coast cliffs is this converted convent. In a nod to its heritage, the rooms themselves are simple but well thought out and extremely clean with every amenity you may need (including a coffee machine). The remainder of the property is decadent yet not overstated , encompassing a number of facilities (restaurant, bar, pool etc) all with wonderful water views. The service is impeccable, with the staff being ever so helpful and friendly (all their restaurant recommendations were spot on!).The cheese and wine tasting is a nice little afternoon activity if you are that way inclined - a great introduction to local wines which comes in handy for the rest of your stay on the coast. If you book in advance, the price also is quite reasonable for such a special stay. Amalfi town itself is also such a good base town with numerous daily boats across to the other coastal towns (Positano etc) and a short bus ride to Ravello (don't miss this gorgeous little town). I would not hesitate in recommending the Convento Di Amalfi to anyone looking to stay on the Amalfi coast. Just make sure you give yourself a good number of days to enjoy it all!
We had a great stay at NH Collection Grand Hotel in Amalfi. The place is an old convent, subtly converted into a hotel. This was done a long time ago in the early 20th century and has been kept as a hotel, restored, refined and up to date-made in the 2000nd. The "cloister feeling" is eminent, but not in any way confined. On the contrary, the space is open and welcoming. Standard rooms are a bit small (this is indeed a cloister), but very comfortable and with great view over the cliffs leading down to the Amalfi town. As you would expect, service, amenities and comfort is top notch in this five star - which it lives up to. Beautiful walking sites along the "monks promenade". And you could - and should - take the stroll from up there down to the Amalfi town. It's a ten-fifteen minutes walk to reach Amalfi. The Amalfi coast is not a thing for the faint hearted drivers. Remember: you are near to Napoli and the complete chaos of non existent driving rules. If you do arrive by car, you are comforted by the professional staff of NH Collection - they take care of your car in their garage. However, be aware that your first stop at the hotel boasts a rather busy preliminary parking just opposite the entrance of the hotel. From there - drop it: they take care of your car and you take the elevator up to the reception, some 30-40 m up the cliff... Extraordinary good breakfast with an overwhelming output of things you would like (and not like) on your breakfast table. Dinner in the restaurant was very pleasant. Not Michelin class - but very well done Italian cuisine. Recommended!
