location couldn't be better for old Bergen-easy walk to stores and cafes/restaurants. Breakfast copious and excellent Short taxi ride(but taxis are expensive in Norway!) to Hurtigruten dock for those taking the scenic Norwegian fjord cruise.
Nice location in the cozy little town of Bergen. Overall a very pleasing experience. The only problem we faced is that the hotel has a limited number of kettles, and we could not get our hands on one even though we stayed for three days.
Across the street from the train station and convenient to shopping, port and historic district. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful and efficient. Complimentary breakfast buffet was amazing with meat, eggs, fruit and many hot and cold items.

The hotel is older and so are tho fixtures etc. but it was very clean. The breakfast is excellent, many options. Our room was on the 8th floor and we had a great view of the harbor. The beds were not the best but the pillow were absolutely terrible. They need to spend just a bit more on something that can make or break a stay. The front desk staff was a bit rude and unhelpful any time we had questions either about the hotel or surrounding areas. The location was outstanding, within walking distance to tourist, fish market, hiking and train and bus.
What a nice hotel! My wife and I arrived via train, which was a short walk from the hotel. Very nice lobby and very comfortable room. The breakfast was unbelievable. We would stay there again without hesitation.
The hotel's location is great. Ask to go up to the tower and you will get great all around views of Bergen. There is some free food available most of the day. Some of the reception staff were very helpful when asked for directions. A bit on the expensive side (cost/value benefit), but Norway in general is expensive.
Get a room that faces the fjord, if possible. The view is fantastic.
