Enjoyed our overnight stay here. The hotel is extremely nice, lovely room, very friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent, so much choice, something for everyone's taste. We will definitely be back!
I love a lovely hotel. I stay in hotels about 60 nights a year--so I appreciate attention to the detail. This hotel has a lovely breakfast. A coffee bar with a machine that include macchiato (a favorite of mine). A chocolate fountain. A fruit bar. A display of breads. You want it? It's there for breakfast. And if you like pastires--the pastry shop is connected and provided the best black forest cake I ate on my trip. And the rooms are lovely too. What a treat! It was worth the splurge.
We stayed two nights in August with our teen girls. We had a family room. Check in was pretty slow, because only two people where staffing the front desk during main check in time ! Our room was facing the Main Street so I ask would there be a more quiet room away from street, which I was rudely told No! we don't have any other rooms. We paid more then $ 500 for this two nights! The lady who checked us in was the owner ,so don't really get it why you are in the hospitality industry if you are rude. All other staff we encountered was helpfully and friendly. Room was a very nice size for Europe. Bathhroom very small , two people can't be in there at the same time. Everything was very clean and the room had a fridge what was very handy since we had to store some medication in a fridge. Location is right in the center of Füssen , opposite of the entrance of the pedestrian zone , so it's very convenient to explore the town by foot and stroll around at night. So I would say if your room faces away from street definitely a perfect stay. If you face the street you will hear ambulances and police all night long since they get to the hospital nearby! Didn't make for a very good night sleep! Room had air conditioning what was great since it was very hot when we stayed in Füssen. Breakfast was absolutely great, I would say one off the best we ever had. Great selection of cold meats and cheeses , different juices, eggs, crepes , fruits, sausages, pretzel and breads. The chocolate fountain was a very nice addition and they had a absolutely awesome coffee machine. So the breakfast buffet is really outstanding ! We had problems with the safe to open up , what one staff mentioned they had a lot. After three tries they could final open it,they thought problems with the battery, and I have to say that the front desk lady was very helpful . It made us about 1 1/2 hour late since each time you have to wait 20 minutes to try again. Would I stay again, probably, but only in a room away from Main Street and it would be nice if check in would be less rude . This place could be excellent if they would do a few improvements .
We were so impressed with this hotel! Our room was fabulous and very nice size. Big bathroom with a large tub and also a large shower. We had French doors that opened to a huge patio. The breakfast included was really good and lots of options. We will definitely be back!
We stayed in a "family" room which is a bed settee made up - which was fine. Upon entry you see the hotel is dated and needs a touch up. Receptionist was really friendly and had good tips. Our bedroom smelt of cigarettes even though it was a none smoking room - we could smell smoke even in the lifts at times. The 2nd day we may have had a different cleaner because the room felt brighter and cleaner. Food in the hotel was mediocre and not worth the money. Parking under the hotel is incredibly tight to come in but great that you can park directly under the hotel.
Spent a night here before visiting neuschwanstein castle. The staff were lovely and accommodation, the food was delicious and the rooms were small but had everything I needed. Great value and very charming
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was almost perfectly clean (with the exception of the urine all over the back of the toilet). I made the front desk aware of it upon check out. I cleaned some of it myself with wipes. The food was also good. We ate pizza for dinner and then had the breakfast buffet. Lots of good choices on the buffet. They kept it clean and well-stocked. There are a limited amount of parking spaces, so if you want one, reserve it the same time you get your room.
Schlossskrone in fussen was lovely! We would rate it a 4.5/5. We had a great stay despite terrible weather! That kept us in most the time. The location was 100% perfect to the adorable town. You step out your door and you're there! They also have a market 2 mins away where you can get snacks and cheaper drinks :) We were on the top floor (100 level) with a balcony and view of some greenery which was quite nice (see pic). The suite was updated and had a separate shower/bathtub area from the toilet. The service was great and the food for breakfast was fabulous!! 5/5. Definitely in our top 5 favourite European breakfasts included in your hotel stay. It had a great buffet for breakfast that included warm and cold foods. If you can stay on a Sunday the buffet is even better than normal. They also open it up to the public (see pic for prices) the buffet had a chocolate fountain. Crepes. Two types of eggs. Bacon. Sausages on Sunday. Various cereals. Granola. Dried fruit. Great fresh fruit. Breads and baked goods and champagne for mimosas if you like that. They had a special coffee machine for various kinds of coffee and great service there too. At night I wanted hot water and they were lovely enough to provide a pot for me. We stayed for 3 nights and then realized we meant to stay for four so my husband booked an extra night. We had to change rooms because they were so busy but that was ok. The next room was in the 200's and it was good but not as nice as the 100 level rooms. (Side note their 200 is on a lower floor than the 100s, not what you might be used to) this area had a very smelly elevator and was noisier, but the room was large which was nice. Way bigger than our first room actually. And the bathroom very nice and everything clean. They also provided us with umbrellas for the terrible weather. The hotel offers spa services, a gym and a play area for kids (small) There is also a bakery attached to the hotel that is worth the stop for baked goods, chocolate truffles and sweets. We got a couple truffles upon our arrival in our room. I'm not sure if it is what they usually do, or if it was special for our honeymoon, but either way it was really nice! And the service at the bakery was very friendly also. We had a great stay and would recommend the hotel:) Given our stay of both rooms we gave an average. First room 4.5/5 Second room 4/5 Overall. My husband said 4.3/5 I think 4.5/5 because the breakfast and location were so amazing!!! Highlights: breakfast buffet, location and service. TIP- If you can book the 100 level. They were nicer and better location in the hotel than the 200 level rooms.
When we arrived the woman at the front desk was not very helpful. We asked for rooms on the same floor since we are traveling as a family and my younger son likes to go back and forth. She gave us a very small room with good A/C and a view to a wall with flowers painted on it (pretty sad). The other room had a great view as long as you kept the windows closed because it looked on to a noisy roundabout, but it was very hot because the A/C wasn't working. This second room was larger but a sauna to sleep in. They gave us a fan... The hotel in general seems worn down and patched, it seems to be that two buildings were badly connected. Breakfast was quite good, they had a chocolate fountain (for the kids), sunny side up eggs besides the tired scrambled kind that most hotels offer. The fruit was varied and very good quality. So, since you might not stay in your room for much time, it's OK, just make sure the A/C is working and be tolerant of the staff since they seemed curt and a bit rude. Photo 1 view from the small room Photo 2 view from the deluxe but noisy and no A/C room
Excellent service and comfort. The staff was helpful, the room was spotless and the sleep quality was high with a very comfortable bed and well-functioning A/C. The breakfast was outstanding and very complete for Euro standards. Parking onsite in underground garage (but reserve your spot in advance when you make room reservations). Great value; stay here if A/C is important to you (it is HOT in Bavaria in summer months) Recommend!!
