2 friends shared a well appointed studio with a functional kitchenette, spacious ensuite and large bedroom with queen and single beds. The studio is one of many stand alone units in well kept grounds with a pool. There is a small verandah out front. Air conditioning and WiFi worked really well. There are 2 good food restaurants in the hotel next door and access to the dining room at the Golf Club via a gate in the back from fence. However, I wouldn't recommend the food here. The staff at Desert Palms are helpful and friendly. It is a good walk into town but taxis are readily available. Just down the road is the Olive Pink Botanical Gardens with a delicious Cafe.
The unit i stayed in had mouse poi all through cupboard. Cups dirty and frypan broken. Reception replaced cups and frypan but as housekeeoing had gone home i had to clean all kitchen stuff myself before ysing it. I left ine cupboard for cleaners and the next day it still wasnt done even after specific request. When i complained a second time to clean up mouse poo i was told i could move out. Just clean up mice poo its digusting
Spent 5 nights here and enjoyed our stay. Room was reasonably spacious, the beds were comfy, the aircon was quiet and the ensuite quite adequate. The resort is in a quiet location and less than a 5 minute drive to the town centre(easy walking distance but too hot for us). There is enough cutlery and crockery supplied but I only saw an electric fry pan for cooking(apart from the microwave). Good BBQ area at the rear of the resort. The Casino(which has a few restaurants) is 500 meters down the road. The golf club behind the resort does excellent meals at reasonable prices and the drinks are reasonable as well. The staff that we had contact with were very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend this resort.
We were booked into to this cabin complex for a family event and I was pleasantly surprised. The cabin were clean and comfortable, well equipped for the family and reasonably priced. There was an excellent pool to laze by and it had a rear access to the golf course for good quality, reasonably priced meals and a round of golf if desired. For the traveller on a budget, it is an excellent facility.
This place was not far from the airport. It is located near a town. The staff was helpful and it is close to the Kangaroo Sanctuary. A lot of bus tours will pick up at this location which is helpful for other tours you might want to go on. The rooms were pretty generic, but if you are staying in the outback, you will be away from the hotel most of the time. There is a little bowling club/ golf course nearby that sells food and snacks as well.
A lovely place that had a real holiday feel. Pool was nice, BBQ areas were great, parking was easy at the front of our villa and the kitchen was well equipped. There was enough room for 4 of us and the beds were comfortable.
Great place to stay, we got a cabin for a family of 5, it was neat and clean, close to the pool. Pool area was clean. Rooms reasonable no need to complain it did the job . Highly recommend. Staff friendly. Lovely place to stay
We thought Desert Palms was fantastic. It was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and accommodating. A few little gifts and groceries in the reception area. Very reasonably priced for family of 4 at $155.
Stayed here for 2 nights in Sept 2017 with the main aim of the trip to travel to Uluru. The hotel offers a wide range of amenities such as pool, laundry, BBQ, shop etc. The rooms were nice and clean with kitchen and bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the aircon was cold. Overall clean and in a good quiet location. Gates are locked at night so very safe. Would recommend someone to stay here if they were traveling to Alice Springs, very reasonably priced at approx $150 for the room per night and sleeps up to 4.
This was our eleventh stop of our Australia around trip. We stayed here three nights. Nice self contained Villas with beautiful palm tree surroundings. Walking distance to town. Pippa the receptionist on duty is a gem. Thanks for looking after us. Definitely coming back to stay. Cheers.
