There are many positives concerning this hotel. The hotel is situated near a small casino, bar and restaurant (x 2). The hotel room is clean and has been recently painted. The bathroom needs renovating, it is clean but dated and the shower head Is at eye level and I am a bit over average height. The 24hr gym is fantastic (99% of gym junkies would be satisfied) and the pool is large, heated (has a lap section and spa) - very nice. The reception staff are professional, polite and friendly - they have been well trained. The staff at the restaurant during breakfast require further training; on both occasions I had to ask for a coffee and on one occasion I was pointed towards a coffee jug. The food was of a good quality with a good range of choices. The view and environment was amazing - I will be back for a holiday.
Our first visit to this area and fell on our feet being booked into this venue. Everyone so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here. Restaurant (would recommend booking) to be a must do is Tali. The food was absolutely first class and very affordable. Staff excellent
We stayed here for two days recently. The hotel was excellent, rooms were large and well appointed with a ge nerous supply of quality toiletries and bath robes and a very comfy bed. Breakfast was generous with a great selection. Dinner was equally pleasing. All in all, a great stay
I stayed at the Crowne Plaza recently for 2 nights whilst attending meetings in the Convention Centre next door. I can honestly say that I could not fault anything during my stay right from the very pleasant lady who took my phone booking through to the friendly reception staff who checked me in and out. I stayed in the new Block 5 and the ample-sized room overlooking the pool with a stunning view out to the nearby MacDonnell Ranges was amazing. The bed was excellent with a nice hard mattress like I prefer and the bathroom was of a good size with a large shower. The hot water was almost instantaneous, unlike many hotels I've stayed at over time. The pool area is exceptional with lots of tables and chairs as well as sun lounges, the heated pool was just right and the whole area appeared very well maintained. This was my third stay at Lasseters, however it is my first review and I can certainly recommend the place to anyone lucky enough to be staying over in Alice Springs. There wouldn't be a hotel anywhere with a better outlook, location and facilities than this.
This was part of a package. Flew direct Brisbane to Alice Springs- only way to go. Transferred to Lasseters by Alice Wanderer service. Our accommodation was in a standard room. Be aware that your room isn't available until 3pm !! We ate at the Casino bar cafe- food ok - bit pricey for a bar snack. We learnt later that you can ask for a pass key to the pool area and grab a snack there - much cheaper. Our room was comfortable - a bit dated. Breakfast was included & this was the usual huge smorgasboard. For evening we ate at the Jucy Rump Bistro. Good choice of food - a bit noisy. Location is out of town - they run a free shuttle 2 hourly during the day or you can walk - abt. 25 min. (NOT AT NIGHT).
I was given one of the new rooms, room 5111. The room was quite nice inside and well equipped. Unfortunately the letdown was the bed. The linen was like sandpaper. The sheets were clean but whatever was used to clean them has ruined them to a point where they are all scratchy and horrible to sleep on. Compounding this was the horrible mattress. It had sunk where people had slept on it to a point where it was nearly impossible for me to get off it. The worst sleep I've had in months thanks to this place. Reception were not responsive even if you could get through to them on the phones (the phones had multiple listings for reception on them). I think the best part though was the room service breakfast. It consisted of 2 pieces of toast, no butter, an egg, a half piece of bacon and a chipolata. Yes, single units of each. A bargain at $30. The cleaning staff were inconsistent when cleaning and the mini bar was only stocked up once in the 3 days I was there. Wouldn't recommend this place, try the DoubleTree next door.
I just returned from staying 3 nights at Crowne Plaza Alice Springs Lasseters. I have to say I really do not give negative reviews, but I was not happy with my stay here. The room was an older style room, but was spacious and quiet. The first night started ok with a great meal at Tali restaurant but later when turning down the bed to sleep I found some blood stains on the sheets, these were dealt with quickly with staff coming to change the sheets almost immediately. The second day went well, until the evening when I decided to order room service at 7pm, by 9pm it still had not been delivered. I called and cancelled the order as it was now too late for me to eat. At breakfast the next day (of which you have a great selection to choose from), I ordered a coffee, the young girl looked quite flustered and it apparently was sent to the wrong table so a rushed takeaway coffee was required to be ordered instead. On checkout the bill included the charge for the cancelled room service, but this was quickly removed once I explained what had occurred. I don't think I will be choosing to stay here again unfortunately.
On entering the hotel lobby I made my way to reception and was greeted by a very pleasant French lady who proceeded to book me in and point out all areas of the hotel , bars breakfast and pool areas. I had a superior room with a fantastic view of the MacDonnell ranges. The room was very nice with great décor, aboriginal, and a super comfy bed. The bathroom was one off the best I have seen at this price point with a fantastic overhead shower head. I had nothing planned on the first afternoon so I decided to explore, ending up in the Juicy Rump area. It has a kind of school canteen look to it but the outside area is great and I spent a couple of hours soaking up the sun with some very cold lager. I also spent an hour by the pool, very well maintained area with a lovey great pool. For evening meal I decided to go back to the Juicy Rump and have a meal, it was quite busy, locals and hotel guests, but I had no trouble getting a table, ordered off the menu, Steak, and after a short while it was ready. On the whole very very good, this was washed down by a couple of cold lagers. The room at the back was super quite and I had no trouble sleeping. Because of my schedule I never managed to eat in Talis, breakfast or otherwise, and because of the great meal first time round I ate again in the Juicy rump, different meal same outcome great tasting food. The casino was not for me and I never tried out the Goat and Bucket, but the people I encountered were helpful, always with a smile. The hotel had a minibus into Alice and I used that a couple of times. Would I use it again , absolutely, great hotel and staff.
Pleasant place to stay, the pool was great especially on a hot day. Room comfortable and a nice restaurant. Laundry available for washing clothes. Bikes also available no charge but need to book them. This place is a little way out so we round bikes all around the place and even got to watch The Ghan arrive into town. So exciting as I will be travelling on this train come November. So more information on that after the trip. The staff friendly and a nice area to relax. Wifi also available. I didn't do the Casino so cannot advise on that area.
I stayed a few days at this hotel. It is a little ways outside of the main town of Alice Springs - 2.5km or about 25 minutes walk. The property is expansive, with several blocks. It also boasts a really great gym, sauna, outdoor pool and heated spa. All of those were really great btw! As for the fit-out for the rooms, they are a little dated. I have stayed in motels in the US that were better fitted out. But that's only cosmetic. The room I had was spacious albeit with a bit of a pokey bathroom (you couldn't have the bathroom door open and use the toilet at the same time...). The reception staff were lovely - friendly and helpful, all smiles! They were a treat. As was one of the staff members in the main restaurant (Tali), who was mainly there in the morning. He was efficient, helpful and seemed to be doing all of the work. The other staff members at the restaurant fell waaay short. In busy nights, no one seemed to know how to get anything done (getting a wine list was a problem, ordering wine took forever) and even though it was busy none of the staff seemed to have a sense of urgency regarding service. In addition to the disappointment with the service in the Tali restaurant was the food. I had a couple of dinners there and each time the same meals came out, it was different - in presentation, size/portion and taste. Some of the meals were overcooked, some still cold. This level of inconsistency in a brand hotel like this was disappointing. All in all, it was an OK experience. If the food and service at Tali was better, it would be have been much better.
