The suite was well maintained, clean and reasonably fitted out. Overall the property was enjoyable and well positioned. Staff was the major issue. One our first night we ate in the premium restaurant, the wait staff were eager, but clearly inexperienced. The main course took forever to come out, and we were informed was due to training issues. On our second night we decided to dine in. The meal arrived within a reasonable time, but without cutlery and in a tepid state.
Husband and I stayed here on two separate occasions whilst travelling to and from Uluru to see the Field of Lights On our first visit we encountered a small problem which was rectified very quickly and generously. The suites are large, clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable There are ample supplies of coffee, different teas and sachets of lovely drinking chocolate (and I'm not a hot chocolate lover) The staff at the front office and at The Tali Restaurant are friendly and helpful. On our return visit from Uluru we were upgraded to a beautiful suite overlooking the pool area This suite would be suitable for two couples as it had 2 bedrooms upstairs, 2 large bathrooms and 3 toilets Once again the beds and pillows were very comfortable and we enjoyed a very good night's sleep Special thank you must go to Coralie Petit as she went above and beyond in her customer service.
We attended the Crowne Casino in Alice Springs to and from our trip to Yalara. The service was superb and reception staff did all that could be expected of them. We had a minor hiccup with a dinner tray left outside our room which was removed and immediately removed and cleaned up once known. It is fair to let one little issue effect our opinion and stay. Our return visit although for a day/night only was superb. Football was on and the Eagles won after the siren. Our room overlooked the pool, was 2 story, 2bed,2bath, and extremely comfortable.
This is a very comfortable hotel. The reception staff were friendly, helpful and informative. Our room, with a view to the Macdonnell Range, was excellent and provided all we needed; we slept very well. What a pity then that it was let down by the level of service in the restaurant. Let me say, the food was fine, good choice, beautifully cooked and well presented. The restaurant was far from full on the two occasions and to start with the service looked as if it would be all right. Water should be provided quickly; however it our first drinks took far too long. Surely it is in the restaurant's interest to be very prompt with the drinks, after all the customers may decide they need another. The 'mains' arrived in acceptable time but oh dear, if you want a dessert, forget it. On the first visit, I was given the dessert menu but no one thought to ask if I would like to order. I mentioned the service to the Maitre D only to discover the person I was complaining about was the manager! Perhaps this is where the problem lies. On the second occasion, I was able to order a dessert but clearly ice-cream was proving a little too difficult and after 20 minutes I left. The other downside of the restaurant was that the kitchen is part of restaurant itself, not usually a problem but this one is so noisy. It was like having a jet engine roaring next to you. If you want an alternative place to eat, try the Hilton just up the road. The food is every bit as good as Lassiters and the service is great. I suggest you book though as it does get busy.
While there are many interesting and enjoyable things to see and do in Alice Springs, it isn't the prettiest town, so staying a little way out of town is better. Lasseters is located in a lovely area (next to the Hilton). The rooms are modern and clean. There's a lovely pool, and the pool bar serves drinks until 5pm. There is excellent car parking and it wraps around the hotel, which means you can park virtually next to your room. The Juicy Rump restaurant, next to the casino, serves enjoyable pub style meals and drinks with a lovely outdoor dining area, with delicious cocktails! The Tuli restaurant located next to the rooms is more sophisticated with white table cloths and delicious meals. It is a 5-10 minute drive into town and the hotel operates a shuttle service which runs several times per day.
We have just stayed for five nights at the Hotel and had a fantastic time. The room in block 3 was fantastic. We found the hotel very clean and quite. The pool area is great for both families and couples. The food at Tuli was excellent. Breakfast was also great. Buffet style and always topped up and hot! The location is good - only 5 minute drive and the hotel offers a shuttle service.
This was a great place to stay. Excellent room with views over the Macdonnell range. The Juicy Rump is a good place to eat with a extensive menu for bistro type meals. Vali is a first class restaurant that provides excellent table service. The bars have all beers you could want. I'll definitely be back
A nice hotel but nothing out of the ordinary. Clean spacious rooms but the doors could do with some soft closers. The room doors slammed which was particularly annoying when people need to leave at 6am for a trip to Uluru. Nice large pool but could do with more sunbeds and the central islands needed some TLC. Tiles chipping off. Reasonable prices for the minibar. Great bathroom (looks like it has just been refurbished). I'd stay there again if I was in the area.
We had a spacious, comfortable room with a small balcony and a nice view of the nearby McDonnell Ranges. Nice quiet location, somewhat out of town. The internet access was a bit patchy though. There was a very nice pool area, including a lap pool, as well as a casino and various restaurants on site. You can go for a cycle ride or a pleasant riverside walk - with a difference ... there's no water in the river!! Well, there wasn't any when we were there! Pleasant, helpful staff.
We booked this hotel 9 months in advance. Only to arrive into Alice Springs to find there is a "hoon" car show happening. Nice for the hotel to notify us of this event. I feel we are staying in a caravan park than a 4 star, well even less hotel. So I can't sit on our balcony as in can't stand the cigarette smoke wafting up. Not to mention the language being spoken. Room less than average in cleanliness. Just hoping residents will go to bed soon and stop congregating outside there rooms and let us get some sleep. And as for free "wifi" don't bother.
