We stayed 2 nights and We had 2 disturbed nights sleep, as it was so so noisy in Block 1 near the casino and bars. Apart from that the service, rooms, cleanliness and comfort was fine. So avoid Block 1 is my recommendation
Checked into room 1218 for one night after 1500 km from Darwin . Expecting a specail stay with a great night out at one of there restaurants . Arrived to a room with is very old and dirty . Went to use the glass in the room but had to wash it in very hot water as it was sticky dirty . Skirting boards have months of dirt build up and the furnishings are so old and damaged by wear and tear . The room Balcony and hallways are filthy . We wouldn't even sit on the balcony . TV was about 10 years old and didn't work . Admittedly we reported the TV not working and they replaced it with a n ew one within an hour even though the TV was the size of a computer monitor . Booking Tali restaurant tonight . Very nervous as to the reports on trip advisor but don't have much option with the steak house as that's s ounds aweful too . We will see .
On the northbound leg of our holiday we spent 2 nights here in Block 5... The check in & check out process was good..... No complaints about the room at all, it was very nice. Very clean & comfortable. In room dining was excellent, the breakfast experience in Tali restaurant was not so excellent.. Very ordinary indeed...... We also dined at the Juicy Rump restaurant & that too was a bit disappointing.. The actual steak was BEAUTIFUL, the rest of the meal, the time it took to be served, the decor of the place & the attitude of the staff was less than impressive.. The gaming areas are a nice layout but personal hygiene standards of all patrons need to be more rigidly enforced.. On the southbound leg of our holiday we stayed 1 night in block 2... WOW... At check in we were given incorrect directions to our room... After eventually finding our room on the ground floor despite being told it was on the first floor, the card wouldn't open the door.... Trudged back to reception to be told that sometimes computers do that sort of thing, no apology, given new cards & away we go.. Got into our room no worries... Once in the room we found a half eaten pack of the complimentary biscuits, a cracked wash basin in the bathroom & some kind of substance that looked a bit like tobacco on one of the chairs.... But the bed was nice & the shower was clean. Away we went to the casino for a bit of R&R, all good & very enjoyable except for the personal hygiene issues of some patrons as mentioned earlier... Ordered a bit of food from the Casbah.... A steak sandwich each... One with egg & one without egg as my wife is alergic to eggs.... Pretty simple request really, but nahhhhhh, all too hard... Both steak sangers arrived complete with egg. Oh well, I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time....
We (2 adults and 3 children 10, 9 & 7) stayed in a one bedroom suite with a connecting twin room at Crowne Plaza for one night in July 2017. The hotel is comfortable, if a little tired in furnishings and upkeep, but fine for a short term stop over. We spent some time by the pool which is a good size and has plenty of sun loungers, and ate dinner at the connected Tali restaurant which was terrific. Overall a good experience.
After travelling and staying in "not so good motels" it was a delight to walk into our 2 bedroom, 2 storey, 2 bathroom, 3 toilet room over looking their gorgeous pool area with surrounding back ground mountains....breath taking! The first night we eat room service, because we didn't want to leave our room :), the the food was priced well and the amounts were generous - I recommend the share platters. The second night we ate at Tala, OMG you must try the Abalone it was exceptional, service on the other hand wasn't the best, they need to be more attentive and organised with service. Breakfast both mornings was in Tala, they had a good array even bacon cooked 2 ways, crunchy and just, morning service was the some thou :(
We spent 5 days at Lasseters - Accom, and staff great - Room service meals ok - first time we could not order a Pizza on room service in any hotel we have visited- - had a nice standard room on ground floor - 1128 - large rooms with outside seats - good view of McDonnell Ranges - used Alice Springs Private Hire cars to get around - cheap as the smelly taxis - nice clean , non smoking cars were APH - - had a nice lunch at Sporties in the mall - went to Monas Bar at Traeger Park - probably the worst organised bar in Australia - limited selection of beer and wine, no food, hot beer - very poorly run!! - we go to Alice 2-3 times per year - will probably stay here again!!
Stayed in block 5 which is the new wing. Nice king size bed overlooking the McDonnell ranges. Great gym and pool area...i think the pool is heated as there were people swimming in winter. Casino is small and the food is average in all the restaurants. Has free shuttle into town a few times a day. Taxis arrive quickly. About 15-20 mins from airport.
Nice location in a very warm spot. Near the golf course and great swimming pool to relax in at the end of the day. Ground floor makes it easy to get around. Restaurant very nice. Staff great and they are lots of travellers making good in the centre.
On the positive side, the rooms were spacious, and the hotel is conveniently linked to the casino. However unfortunately the exterior and interior need an update - the hotel had a 70s feel. Our room had something yellow splattered on the wall, stains on the bedspread and carpet, and the shower needed a scrub.
Enjoyed our short stay here for mixed business and leisure. Comfortable and clean accommodation with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend as it has all the amenities required on the edge of town.
