We arrived at around our check in time and were booked in pretty quickly, paid the bill and where given our keys and told what floor our rooms was and left to get unpacked. Just how we like it, no-one trying to sell you anything, no "added" extras etc... The hotel itself looked ok in placed, but also a little dated in others, and really for a hotel of this size, 4 tiny lifts is just not enough, but we didn't go on holiday to ride the lift so you can kind of overlook it. The room was nice and clean, balcony was completely private and a good size and perfect to catch the afternoon sun, this was the highlight of the 11th floor room as it gave a fantastic view of Calpe and the hotel pool. One thing that is inadequate though is the air con, it was on full fan speed and the temp set to 0'C when we arrived!!! and still it hardly cooled the room, I can imagine in the height of summer at 40'C outside it would not be good enough. Other than that, and the pathetic mini bar fridge (Just don't bother, it was cooler on the balcony! the room was good. The inclusion of a safe was good though... Good things are the location, just a 2 minute walk to the promenade and one beach in one direction, and then a 5 minute walk the opposite way to another beach, that was very good. All in all for what we paid it was good value, just needs a few 2017 upgrades and it would be a 4 star and very good. One tip...don't bother paying for on hotel parking, just over the road there's a large car park that we used all week that's free of charge and well lit at night if you park close to the main road. Also, for the wife and I the fact it was a hotel that quite obviously has some deal with Saga wasn't an issue as we're not fans of partying noisy people, but we did at times feel like the youngest there :) which was nice :) I'd recommend it if you can get a good deal and don't arrive expecting 4 star, more like 3...
Stayed for 1 night to start our holiday in Calpe. Fabulous hotel, staff were excellent. We arrived early and left our luggage in store but by 1pm we were rung to say our room was ready and we had been upgraded to a deluxe room! The outside pool is lovely and there are lots of sun beds to use. Room was fabulous very clean and bed was gigantic!! All staff so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return and I recommend a stay here
Just returned from a memorable holiday at the Ifach . Travelled with Saga.Hotel staff excellent , Good sized well furnished bedrooms with very quiet and efficient air-con. Food-.large choice and well balanced menu with efficient and attentive staff in dining room. Could not fault any aspect of the hotel which appeared to be run very efficiently .My thanks to the Saga reps and couriers on the excursions. Have travelled many times with Saga and this is one of the best I have stayed in. the weather was warm and sunny.
We stayed for 2 weeks in September and found the hotel to be an excellent choice for us. Close to the two main beaches, Salinas and the Port it is well placed for sunbathing, a walk, something to eat in the wide array of restaurants in the Town. Staff in reception, restaurant, bar and housekeeping were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay and many we spoke to loved staying there. We stayed B&B so couldn't comment on lunch and dinner but breakfast was good with a wide range of offerings to suit most tastes. The omelettes were hand cooked to order and were lovely... as were the pancakes. We went to the beach most days but saw that the pool area was spacious and had plenty of beds. Reports of no English TV channels are off the mark. Press the analogue button on the TV remote and there are 5 English channels...ideal in the morning, after the beach and just before going to sleep. WiFi was also good. Safe was free. Overall, a well priced, located hotel in a very nice resort and a big thank you to the staff for looking after us. We shall come back in the future.
Hotel is in great location very close to beach an restaurants the rooms are very nice an clean an very quiet great air con an balconys the foods great an swimming pool an bars are very good the staff are very helpful great hotel to stay
NO AIR-CONDITIONING IN JULY. The staff at the reception was completely unresponsive, I had to shout at them to get a room with air-conditioning. In July. The hotel looks like it has known better times: the minibars are empty and the planters on the balcony have the remains of dead plants and dirt. STAY AWAY!!!
Stayed here on business this week and booked as it was close to where I needed to be. Whilst it was better than my last stay, where I swore I wouldn't stay again, this hotel just isn't a four-star property or value for money. The service is very slow and unfriendly. The rooms are OK in size but quite basic, the TV was fuzzy for my entire stay. Requests to correct were met with indifference. The bar staff were most unimpressed when I asked to pay for drinks with credit card. They let their feelings about this most clear. I'm desperately trying to find a good 4/5 star in Calpe for future stays.
Would definitely return to this hotel. Couldn't find fault with anything. Food was top class , catered for all ages and nationalities. Very near lovely beach shops .entertainment for kiddies if needed too .
We stayed at this lovely hotel from 19-24 June. Our room 1511 was on the top floor with lovely views of the swimming pool and the sea. Large room with extra large comfortable bed. Great bathroom with good supply of toiletries. Lovely big balcony too. I was worried about the food as there were several reviews saying that the good was tepid. The good during our stay was piping hot. Good choice each evening of 3 hot prepared dishes and a fish and meat dish each night cooked fresh on the griddle. Good selection of starters and puddings too!! Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was very clean and tidy. The spa and gym facilities were good. A good range of entertainment with something different each night. The only thing I would say is that drinks at the bar were very expensive. €11 for a large beer and a gin and tonic. Lovely stay and a special mention to Igor who was the most helpful friendly member of staff on reception.
We stayed at this hotel having booked it from the UK. We were very disappointed that the booking had been made as all inclusive but when we got there were told it was room only. As a result we had to pay for everything and it was costly! We were on the first floor so could not get a really nice view. The show of the hotel looks unusual and this is attractive, it is to mimic the icon of the town, the Ifach rock i think and so we thought we would get a good view. The hotel had entertainment in the wvning which was rubbish. Not very good at all. There was nothing for our boys to do ages 10 and 11 so I would not recommend it for kids at all. The room had ants the first day but after being cleaned and sprayed these were no longer a problem. Proximity to the beach is fab, fist a 3-4 minute walk. Not even sure why I'm giving it 3 it's maybe because I'm being generous and the location.
