Our third year at this hotel on AI and still love it. Quiet. Clean. Good food. Great staff. Relaxing. If you want to party stay in the new town. Special shout out to our fave barman Amine. See you all next year.
me and 9 friends and family have just come back from Benidorm staying in this lovely clean hotel. we all had a fab time. we stayed for a week. The hotel is very clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is good variety only downfall could have been hotter but there is a mircowave. The bar staff was brill had a laugh with them all. The rooms are ok but not really bigger enough if 3 adults are staying in 1. The maids keep it lovely and clean . The only thing I would say is if u want to chill then it's really not for you as there is a school nxt door that plays loud music for start of school and finish . The entertainment was rubbish more aimed at the Spanish. Need 2 replace her. Pool is freezing as is shaded by the tall buildings . But overall we all had a fab time .. We would stay there again 😎😎😎
Well after some reviews we went with a bit of trepidation, but we should not have had any concerns. This is a well run hotel that is kept very clean. The staff are very good and welcoming. Our first view from the coach was one of a well kept establishment. We had a room on the second floor facing the rear of the hotel, but as we didn't spend a great deal of time in it, the view of some buildings didn't bother us. The public areas have all been given a make over and are nice and clean. The rooms are a bit dated but kept clean. In each room there is a TV, and Wifi access. The bathroom has a hairdryer and two soap dispensers, one at the sink and one at the shower. The shower itself is quite powerful and was always warm. The bathroom has a complete set of ceramics which includes a Beday. The dining room was never overcrowded and the choice of meals were fine. If anything the meals could be a bit warmer, but there is a microwave available. A nice surprise was the provision of a very good custard. Breakfast was the best meal of the two, and is the meal we consider to be the most important. There is one common room which houses the bar. The prices are very competitive with those down town. The entertainment girl works very hard to keep everyone going. Sometimes the music was a bit too loud, so we moved out on to the veranda. The pool area has plenty of sunbeds so no need to jostle for a place. The Hotel itself is ideally placed for the old town which is a short walk away. Directly outside is a bus stop giving access to what is a very good public transport system. A bus can be taken from their to the bus station, which gives access further afield if required. The Hotel is not that far from the train station, and a very nice day was had by taking a trip into Alicante which is a beautiful city. All in all we had a great holiday, we relaxed, met some great people and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. A word about the Spanish Pensioners who used the Hotel at the same time. The last time we were in Benidorm, we had the misfortune to be in a hotel full of pensioners. These people were highly ignorant and unwelcoming, so when we saw that once again we would be sharing a hotel with them, our hearts sunk. BUT, these pensioners we great. Very welcoming and good company. They were polite and inviting, they on short restored our faith in the Spanish people. Thanks, A novel thing that fairly tickled us was that next door to the hotel is a primary school, yes it brought noise, but the sound of kids is to us a heart-warming one, but they didn't have a bell to call them to studies. They used a PA system which played "Johnny be good" to start the day. This gave us a wee chuckle.
We booked this hotel as part of an All Inclusive package with an online provider. Only after we booked did we read some of the reviews and started worrying. However we needed have stressed. Upon arriving to the hotel, we were checked in very quickly and easily. Our room however did face the back of the hotel and as stated in some of the other reviews, the back of hotel does face a brick wall. This was solved by simply asking at Reception to be moved. We had to spend one night in that room, but got moved the very next day to a front facing room, which was much nicer! The food was another worry of ours as some of our party are very fussy eaters, however at every meal they always managed too eat a couple of plates. The food is very typically geared towards the Spanish residents of the hotel, however it was all lovely and surprisingly tasty. As part of the All Inclusive package Breakfast is served between 8am-10am. Lunch is served between 1pm and 3pm. Dinner is served between 7pm-9pm. Snacks and beverages are available from 10am-11pm everyday at the bar. The location of the hotel is up a slight incline, so some less abled guests may find it a struggle to walk. However placement wise, it was in a fantastic place to explore old town and take a 10 minute stroll to the beach or a 20/30 minute walk to the New Town. Overall we found this hotel very pleasant, the staff were all always very polite and spoke very good English and were happy to accommodate any needs we had. The rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh linen and clean towels. If we came again, we wouldn't stay in this hotel again purely because we persoanlly want to be closer to New Town. However, if we did want to stay in Old Town again we would return to Vista Oro without any hesitation! Thank you for an amazing stay!
We went me and the miss and when we got there we heard an air rad sign it turned out to be the school right next door the food was rubbish we ended up eating out all the time and the pool was freezing would not go again
I was worried about some of the reviews about this hotel before I arrived, however there was nothing to worry about. The hotel is next door to a school which can make for a noisy sunbathing session but as it was Easter we only had it for one day. Plenty of sun loungers for guests and a nice pool but it was far too cold for us to go in. We had a front facing balcony which was brilliant ,I know some rooms face a brick wall and I'll be honest I probably wouldn't want that . The hotel and grounds are absolutely spotless and the maid made sure our room was also. The food was fine and we always found something nice to eat. We had a room with four beds but as we didn't take second grandson staff removed bed straight away so we could have more room. Three of us managed fine but to be honest it would have been a tight squeeze with four. Drinks were good measures and there's a coffee machine for all inclusive guests to use. There were (as others have mentioned) a lot of elderly Spanish guests and the entertainment is mostly aimed at them but it didn't bother us as there is always something going on in Benidorm. Locality is brilliant ,a few minutes walk and you are spoilt for choice with shops and bars. The beach is about 10 minutes max downhill.. The staff here treated us really well and we're always polite and helpful. If you are the sort of family who wants non stop entertainment then this hotel is not for you. However if you want a nice place that's immaculate with friendly staff then this is brilliant. I hope to return in the future.
We paid over £3000 for our first family holiday to Benidorm, we went all inclusive, we were very disappointed in this hotel, the “all inclusive “ ended at 11pm at the bar we couldn’t even get a hot drink out of the machine as these also got switched off. we had to pay 1€ each time for the pool and table football for the kids as this was the only things for the kids to do on a night and these were that old they didn’t even work properly the entertainment was Spanish dancing obviously put on for the locals. The bar was full every night with the local older people we could not get a seat in the bar area for all the locals taking all the tables sitting with no drinks! We ended up going out round the front every night which was our only option. The pool was in the shade so no one ever got in it the whole 7 days we were there as it was constantly freezing! The food at meal times was good but the snacks in between meals was the leftovers off dinner. The restaurant staff were nice especially one man called Raul who always tried to help, the only two members of staff we had issues with was the night time desk man( very rude and miserable) and one of the waiting staff ( short , grey hair, glasses) who kept touching my 10 year old daughter every time we walked past stroking her hair and touching her shoulders which made her feel very uncomfortable, in the end I had to physically push his hand away from her then after that he would just ignore us on purpose which I preferred! The cleaning staff were lovely and polite but all they did was change the beds and leave clean towels there was loads of fluff/ hair /dust under the beds when we arrived not very clean at all. We did have a fantastic holiday but only Because we made it ourselves all we used the hotel for was sleeping changing and eating now and again. I would not recommend staying at this hotel unless you are Spanish and miserable, !!! NEVER again.
Enjoyed our stay, but found the pool very cold. As pool was in shade all the time. Staff was ok. Rooms very clean and cleaned every day. Our view at the back of the Hotel was of a School, and looking down on the side entrance to Hotel Kitchen. View at back not so good. Food, was adequate. I won't be staying there again, as want to experience other Hotels. Very near to sea, and old town. Shops even opposite. Not a hotel for me been once won't go again.
I booked this hotel as a break for a Special Birthday, after reading the reviews it sounded ok and handy for where we wanted to be, how wrong was I. The hotel its self was clean, and beds comfortable, but that is about as far as it goes, the hotel was mainly full of Elderly, rude Spanish couples, the food was barely warm, and fish everyday, the Entertainment through the evening only catered for the Spanish couples, line dancing every night, there is only so much of that you can take, the Animation team consisted of just one man, ( who was lovely, and always polite) but there is only so much one man on his own can do, there were only 2 of the reception staff who actually spoke to us, and the dining room staff hardly acknowledged we were there, there may have been a bit of a language barrier, but we did try and speak Spanish to them when we came into the dining room but we're ignored, it ruined my Birthday, I have been to Spain on 3 separate occasions now, and 3 different locations, and found the Spaniards to be rude towards the British, so this was the last straw, that was my last and final time in Spain, can't wait for wonderful Greece in the summer
All staff members very helpful and try their hardest to please even with language barrier would find a colleague to assist with your needs I need a gluten free diet and always found staff extremely helpful in assisting with choices . Lots of food and drink choices all included in all inclusive deal Our room was very clean and the daily maid was always pleasant and polite Hotel is well situated to walk to beach and short walk to main area of Benidorm There is a local bus into Altea lovely village and church well worth a visit Also if markets are your thing massive market in main Benidorm on Wednesday and Sunday Overall very good value for money
