Extremely helpful, polite & friendly staff - excellent food at every mealtime, spotlessly clean hotel - please keep up your good work x Great location near beach in the Old Town, which has a great atmosphere both night and day 24 hour shop across road from hotel and best kebab house in town a few doors away - they stay open forever, still graciously serving your starving self when you've just left your dancing feet at 6am in Café Benidorm - Class !!
First can I say I only gave this a very good not excellent because the entertainment let the hotel down. Shout out to Vincent, Alan and Ulpa in the bar friendly professional and entertaining very hard working . Great friendly welcome on arrival able to get into room as soon as 11.30 . Everywhere clean , pools are clean loads of Sun loungers and always available , bring own towels. bar and snacks ( crisps and peanuts ) available pool side from 10.00--19.00 I say pool first as it is first thing you see on entering hotel . Area for children's playground and a number of tables and chairs in shaded area so a cool respite from the heat . Reception and bar entertainment in same area clean and well managed coffee machine available from 08.00--00.00. Snacks are served there as well between main meals usually chips , chicken nuggets, veggie fingers , fish fingers, noisettes, sausages and burgers. Room was clean able to accommodate 3 beds, clean towels changed every day, beds alternate days. Unfortunately view from room was terrible just walls outside but sun trap from 14.30 onwards and good sized balcony. Only one lift but not that much of a hardship. Dining room clean bright and cool good selection of food to cater for every tastes although some of it was repetitive. One way glass so not blinded by the sun or heat when dining . Very attentive and friendly staff bottled water locally produced wine and soft drinks readily available. Walk into old town about 10 mins , Captain Morgans 15 mins away numerous tribute artistes great atmosphere although a little pricey drinks . loads of shops with usual souvenirs some sports shops, hairdressers 2 mins from hotel colour (hair women) 8 €. Although I did not take advantage. Gripe while we were there , a number of people smoked e cigs at bar indoors definately a no no please stop . entertainment was not good it was mediocre animation team consisted of one girl who spoke Spanish and English who tried her best but didn't have the budget ? For anything adventurous. games some meant for children were played and bingo. Activities in the day were advertised on board but not always encouraged. Lounge singers x 2 sang Spanish and attempted English . but hey ho you can make your own entertainment. In all this place really would benefit from a good entertainment overall we will be going back but hope entertainment has improved. Great teamwork makes this hotel work .
This was a holiday for me & my wife to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary & everything was just fine. if I were to be really 'finicky' I would say that more choice/variety of desert at lunchtime or evening meal would be welcome other than that I cannot find fault with the place' Regards. Booked this primarily because of its location to Old Town Benidorm. Stayed here in August for 1 week All Inclusive. Just a 5 minute walk and you are in the hustle and bustle of the Tapas bars. The hotel is very clean and it has very friendly staff. I would say its a reasonably small hotel and has the benefit of having a pool outside. This is a bit of a bonus for the location. You don't need to get up early to reserve sunbeds. There were always plenty, even all through the day you could get one and that's in August! The pool bar was great. All the usual drinks, incl. crisps and nuts, on all inclusive. During the day there were games activities that you could join in with the animation team. No matter what language you spoke, you were always made welcome. Our 8yr old daughter loved it. She was off joining in, making friends. You can see the whole area from your sunbed so you don't have to worry about them. Probably the slight majority were Spanish families when we visited, which is great, all very friendly and I prefer that. Food was very good. Lots of choices. Evening entertainment was ok. Singers, shows, quiz, bingo etc. They had a mini disco which does start quite late sometimes. It gave you time to walk round town after dinner and still get back for it. Would certainly go back to this hotel again. Great time.
Lovely clean hotel, in the heart of the old town, nice rooms but request a pool view room when we checked in my wife and I got a pool view room my daughter and grandson had a back room no view at all but they told us she would get a pool view room good to there word next day she got moved, so always ask, food was excellent good choices and the waiters were very attentive getting u wine beer etc pool area nice and clean sun beds always available only drawback there sunbeds could do with refurbishment the mesh very slack needs tightening or replaced very saggy but all in all a very nice hotel
just come home from this fantastic hotel. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by very friendly reception staff and a very clean well looked after hotel. Our room was very clean with a pool view, fully air conditioned with an updated bathroom and fridge. The room was small but as we were out the majority of the holiday it was ample for our visit. The pool was small but seemed to have all the kids playing in and around it and plenty of room for adults to have a dip from the 34 degree heat. Plenty of sunbeds everyday and nobody getting up at stupid a clock to put towels out. The poolside bar has all drinks available and were very friendly, plenty of tables and chairs around the pool and bar to relax aswell. We went all inclusive and found that the food at all meal times was exceptional, i have fussy children who usually complain on most holidays but enjoyed thier meals everytime we went down for food. The snacks inbetween mealtimes were also very good and kept a full belly whilst enjoying the sun. The staff work extremly hard all day and night and i could not fault them. The beach is a 5 min walk down the road and the water is lovely and warm with golden sandy beach, if you like to play in the waves get yourself down there, it gets busy from 9am so get there early. The shops around the town are great, everything from the cheap tack holiday shops up to the expensive designer shops, something for everybody, the bars and restaurants were lovely, really liked a locsl chain restaurant called Pinnochios, made amazing crepes and cocktails. The old town is fantastic brilliant views and scenary, makes for a nice walk after your evening meal. Overall a fantastic holiday and would go back. Thank you to the staff for treating us so well.
My family and I stayed here for two weeks in July/Aug 2017. We booked our holiday in July 2016 based on the reviews at the time. We have had the most wonderful two weeks. As mentioned in many of the reviews on here the hotel is spotless. I am someone who wears flip-flops when getting out of the shower in hotels, as I can't bear the thought of putting my wet feet on someone else's floor. By day 2 I left my flip-flops by the bed. I cannot fault the cleanliness of any part of the hotel, from the pool area to the bars. The clientele, as also mentioned in other reviews are largely Spanish. I took this as a positive when booking and I am glad I did. There was a lovely atmosphere in the hotel, and everyone got along. My 11 year old daughter was using Google translate with get to know the Spanish kids! This is one of the best all inclusive packages I have had (definitely the best at 3*) There was food available all day, and the bars were serving from 10:00-23:00. The measures of spirits were terrifying! But I have no complaints about food or drink! The food was of a good standard, with a good variety every day. The staff. What can I say about the staff! They were brilliant, incredibly hard working and so friendly. Amine on the bar was fab, and always made an effort to make us smile. 10/10! Entertainment, this is a complicated part of the review. We wanted a nice, chilled holiday, so the lack of organised activities in the first week wasn't too much of an issue. However we had read the reviews talking Jason and how great he was. Unfortunately he is no longer working at the hotel full-time, and only does a day and a half. Our first week was quite poor entertainment wise. Very little through the day, and boring pianists playing songs in the evening. The second week was much better, with magicians, flamenco show and much better activities throughout the day. The days that Jason was there were great, but I think the other two girls doing the entertainment need a lot more enthusiasm. That said, as we wanted chilled, we were happy to play cards/pool/fusbal, or watch the sport on TV. All in all this is a gem of a hotel, it isn't too big, it doesn't feel crowded, there are always sunbeds available. If you want action packed, then book excursions out (there are many!) or consider a bigger hotel. But I truly do recommend the Vista Oro, and we will definitely be visiting again.
Stayed at this hotel once again in July for 1 week. The staff are all excellent. Food was good , always plenty of choice ,drinks excellent too. Thanks to everyone at Port Vista Oro can't wait to return at the end of August .
Stayed here in September 2016 for a few days & this was perfect. Food was delicious & in a great location to the old town & only a short walk to the new town. Would definitely stay here again. Rooms clean & tidy & staff friendly. Sangria from the lobby bar was perfect!
