stayed two weeks over the festive season , first time away at Christmas for my wife and I .we are both in our late 60`s and read the reviews before booking .The apartment was fully equipped if you want to cook (no way says wife )the stroll to the beach took 12 minutes allow 15 minutes back ( no problems ) we were self catering so can`t comment on restaurant .the bar is well stocked and prices reasonable . the shop also provides most of what you require and prices only a wee bit more the down town .

I have been to this Hotel on a number of occasions twice for the new year. It was a different experience for me this time as I had to come alone. My husband died in April and I felt he would want to come alone. The hotel as usual was very clean and on the whole the staff were very friendly. I think the bar staff did not like serving a woman alone at first and tended to serve men first regardless of who was there first. I think I put them straight and they were fine afterwards. The one thing I missed was Jason(Jay). The entertainment used to be so good with him. The new girl tried her best but did not have Jays personality. He was sorely missed not just by me. The location of the hotel is good, building work going on next door but that is not the fault of the hotel. There were very few English people at the hotel but I did not mind that, love the Spanish Music and dancing. The food was very good but a bit disappointed that everyone did not sit down together for the New years eve dinner with waiter service as we had in the past. I missed sorely my husband being with me but on the whole the other guests were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel and I look forward to returning in the future

Would recommend this hotel its location is ideal to explore Benidorm a short walk and you into are the middle of everything whilst the hotel is of a medium size hotel there is everything there to make your stay comfortable. the lady on reception was always help full and pleasant as were all of the staff a special mention to the cleaners who work all hours to keep the hotel and grounds spotless we were on the third floor pool view we were there over the Christmas period and the food was excellent in my view we had a lovely gala lunch on Christmas day again thanks to the chefs and waiters/waitresses the entertainment was geared mainly to the Spanish guests but we enjoyed joining in with entertainment and we were encouraged to do so with the Spanish guests we would deffo come back Thanks again to you all the the port vista Oro.

Cannot praise the staff enough from reception to bar, restaurant and cleaners. They're very helpful and great with the kids. Rooms cleaned every day. Food is good always something to find all though we ate out on a few occasions as it was cheap and evening meal isn't served until 7.30 and little uns like tea about 5.30. Even though its winter they still had entertainment. My son lost at bingo but the lady gave him a teddy for taking part.Asked reception about places to visit they told us which bus to catch or marked it on a map for us or offered to phone a taxi. Recommend a visit to the circus. Entertainers shake your hand at the door when leaving. I'm not sure if wed return to benidorm but if we did we would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in the middle of the town centre next to a school where every break time and morning at 5 to 9 a very loud song was put on to the loud speakers to tell the children school is beginning woke us up every morning the hotel is not in the sunshine at all this time of year and talking to people who have been in summer half of the very small pool area is in shade , we had to walk down a steep hill with busy roads to cross to get to the promenade which when the weather was blue sky and cracking was great as I am not a beach lover I had to bite my lip and get on with it if we wanted a bit of sunshine on our backs when we found a sheltered corner so the wind diddnt get you we haven’t worn our shorts all week it was a very cold wind rained two days good job we have come from Yorkshire with our long trousers and thick jumpers and coat as it diddnt get warmer than 12degrees because of the shade by all the tall buildings across the road and around the hotel , it’s not there fault about the weather , but if we had known were the hotel was situated we would not have booked as we are both got health issues with walking too far , The hotel itself is just small the staff were great and everything done with a smile the rooms were ok a bit outdated the mattresses were ok for me they were solid my husband just couldn’t sleep for two nights so we asked for blankets which we placed on top of the mattress and that was much better , the room was clean and tidy The food was 90percent Spanish very little English choice the meats were tough pork steak, rabbit , steak , the sweets were exactly the same every night , the staff were lovely cleaned up the tables and plates very fast , the entertainment was ok nothing in the day time they did have a time table of sorts up but we diddnt see anybody about I did love the Nescafé coffee from there machines first time in Spain I have enjoyed there machine coffee , I took my own tea bags for a cup of tea, and my own kettle for the room , if you love shopping then this is a idea situated hotel that wasn’t too expensive , this is the place for you to book a few people were checking in for a few days which would have been ideal for some just not us.the WiFi is excellent I watched lol my English tv on my iPad on a evening and listened to our radio station from Home , there tv only has two ehloss channels one sport one news . There is a bus stop just outside the hotel 1.50 euros each anywhere we caught the Number 3 into Benidorm took about twenty minutes or so to get to the centre of Benidorm we have had a look at the hotel we have booked for next year it’s fab and can’t wait to come back to lovely Benidorm just not going to return to this hotel .

Lovely small hotel in the Old Town, 5 mins walk down small hill & you're right in the middle of everything. Clean & comfortable rooms public areas & dining room were lovely. Little pool on the front of hotel, unfortunately it doesn't get much sun so pretty much cold most of the time. We we given a room at the back of the hotel which faced a brick wall with no chance of sun, but we were quickly moved the next morning to the front which was much better. Food was lovely always plenty of choice, this the one time we didn't choose to eat out. Can't comment on the entertainment as we didn't stay & watch. Staff very friendly & helpful. If you're looking for a good value for money hotel then this is for you.

Great place to stay . Super location . Great food ,very clean inside and out very impressed , clean towels and beds made every day such a treat ,. We went all inclusive which was very good value to say the least . Staff were very helpful and polite. Few down falls pool in shade ? And we was facing a wall that was the rear of a children’s school, which was very loud . As we was not there in the day it didn’t prove to much of a problem . All in all a great hotel at very cheap price . Shame about the pool .

Can't fault this hotel for cleanliness, but very disappointed overall. Our room faced a brick wall,no Sun seems to reach this side. Didn't mind the school playing Coldplay at start of day, breaks and home time. Entertainment is definitely geared for the Spanish. We were All inclusive which didn't meet standards of other hotels we have stayed in. Snacks very poor..Restaurant food was ok,nothing to get excited about..Although staff were friendly don't think we would return.

We've just back arrived home after a ten day holiday at this hotel where we have been coming for the last ten years or so. Let me start with the positives! The staff (who we knew from before) were as lovely as ever, along with management, always welcoming, friendly & falling over themselves to make your holiday the best it can be. We were given a pool view room (which we'd hoped for) & found it to be cleaned to a high standard, the beds being soooo comfy! The entertainment at the hotel had never been fantastic but had been fun all the same probably because of the guy who's now left this hotel & it's now been taken over by a young Spanish girl, who despite being charming & friendly really hasn't got the magic with people that he had..hope your ears are burning Jason Lundy! lol! like it or not YOU ARE MISSED!!! We tried our best to join in with a few activities but it was directed mainly at the Spanish (fair enough) it is their country but all became too complex for us, especially the bingo!! Zzzzzzzzzz I still wonder what the fixation with line dancing is ?? day in, night out, achy breaky heart, until we nearly went crackers! but still trying to wear a smile & be as tolerant as possible. Day five I became ill with what could only point to food poisoning as I realised I'd scoffed semi cooked chicken wings in BBQ sauce, slightly tinged with pink! & the rest of my holiday was spent drinking water & eating bits of dry bread.... The restaurant itself just could not begin to compare with other years, even when it was a two star hotel; it was amazing as regards food quality! this time we were totally shocked! so much so, I didn't have one breakfast, only around three lunches & three evening meals in the whole of the ten days, my friend who came with us actually choked one night on the raw french beans which she thought were cooked not forgetting the chewy carrots...yes! chewy like toffo!... shocking!! I'd also like to point out the fact that the trays where the snack foods were displayed should have been kept at a constant heat...chips left in cold (or luke warm) trays for up to three hours & meat selections too... a dead cert for harbouring germs & contamination.....I suggest the chef is (preferably) replaced, as he obviously has limited knowledge of food & how to prepare, serve & keep it fit for human consumption & whilst I'm on the subject of food..what the heck is a turkey chop?? they don't exist! only in his restaurant.... We should be going back in April but will not risk it even if it means us (which it will) spending more money to upgrade to maybe a four star hotel in the same area....very sad! If all of you reading this don't mind the food issue's, enjoy line dancing every afternoon & most evenings & the fact the pool area & outside terrace gets no sun (hardly) from October until April then you'll have a wonderful time...the alcoholic drinks are very nice & very generously served too & from great staff but only until 11pm if you're on A/I it's then time to pay until the bar closes at 12am! It grieves me to have to leave this review but it's time Port Vista Oro management realised just how poor things have become. I would rather have the old hotel back with all it's cracks & imperfections, at least the guests comforts & requirements all round came first....& thankfully we (as regular visiting guests) have our memories & thank you for those over the years....we will miss the old times

We spent a week at this hotel a couple of years ago and was very impressed, we returned again this October and allI can say is that this hotel and staff are fantastic, if you want a rowdy music filled alcoholic hotel then please avoid at all costs, BUT if you want a relaxing holiday where the guests are predominately Spanish, who we found to be lovely, have a few beers and a bit of line dancing or watching some Spanish dancing, or just sit and have a chat then please go also food v good, we went all inclusive which was well worth it, all of the staff can’t do enough for you, the reception staff, sorry can’t remember their names were brilliant, especially the two ladies, we forgot the adapter plug, they gave us one etc, rooms basic but very comfortable I cannot speak highly enough of this place, its in the old town, 5 min walk to Tapas alley and a 15 min walk to Vicky etc and the rest of the highlights of Beni if that’s what you want, hens, stags etc please don’t go you will spoil a lovely hotel.
