The experience in itself was lukewarm. The listing reflected that I would get the code in the app, but that never happened. I had to call the owner for it. Additionally, the supplied code worked for one day. I had to call every time to be let in the door afterwards.
Prior to our stay, I received a list of Dos and Don’ts. While I am not unfamiliar to short term rentals as an alternatives to hotels, there were a lot more Don’ts than dos, which made the experience significantly less enjoyable. With all of those don’ts, there was an associated fee to go along with it, which made me really not want to stay at the property. Due to low available inventory that suited the need I had, I stayed. While I had pets there, the rake for the waste that I was told would be there was no where to be found.
The pictures of the listing looked one way, but the actual layout of the home does not reflect how it looks. A doorbell was missing even though there appeared to be wiring for it. A fence surrounds the pool as that is not in the pictures. The master bedroom has paint off the wall from where the TV used to be mounted. It made it feel like the home was in the middle of renovations as paint marks were also on the floor in various spots. It made me feel like the listing photos were simply taken for staging.
Overall, as I don’t have the characters to fully summarize my experience, I did not enjoy the stay. I would not recommend staying there.
