Does the trick but no host support

I had a lot of difficulty contacting the host just to get our checkin details the day of arrival. They didn't answer messages and the number listed was to a car rental, which made me think at first it was a scam. They didn't respond until after I had contacted VRBO customer service, and they apologized because they don't get many listings on VRBO. We got there fine and were able to get in, but the place hadn't been cleaned in awhile, huge dust bunnies. Also weird things like the clean laundry was in plastic bags in the closet. It was also on the 2nd floor, which wasn't noted in the listing and no elevator, which is a problem for my aunt. In the end it is bare bones, run by a management company, and does the trick. The location is great. It was just very difficult to get in contact with host which for me is a no go when I'm traveling, and I prefer apartments that have some care in the upkeep.
