Situation:

Sant Jaume Estate is a lovely estate with a typical Menorcan farmhouse located less than 1km from Son Bou beach and 5km from Alaior, where you can do your shopping and find all kinds of services. Mahón, and its port, are less than 15 minutes away by car.



Exterior:

The property is in the countryside, which guarantees privacy and tranquillity. Next to the house entrance there is a fenced area with a swing, and afterwards is the pool area, surrounded by terrace flooring, where there is also a pergola with table and chairs and a built-in barbecue. Next to it is a very spacious lawn area with natural shade. From the kitchen, you can also access an area with a table and chairs and a large parasol.



Interior:

The house has maintained the original layout and is divided into two floors:

Ground floor: distribution hall, living/dining room, kitchen with table, 1 master bedroom (1.50m) with air conditioning, walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom (with two separate units for bathtub and shower), 1 double bedroom, 1 double bedroom with air conditioning, 1 bathroom with shower, and laundry room.

First floor: living room with beautiful sea views, 1 master bedroom with air conditioning and 1 master bedroom (which can be connected), another master bedroom and 1 full bathroom.

The house and gardens are great. We were a party of 11 and the house was spacious and enough room to accommodate us all. The single room on the first floor has very low ceilings not great for adults. Location suited us, however it is a long hilly walk to Son Bou approx 2.5k. And the drive upto the house is very rocky we got a puncture in the car. On the downside. Not enough sunbeds. Kitchen facilities do not really lend them selves to 11. There was a 3 ring hob, a small cooker and a microwave that didn’t work very well. Kettle would have been useful to boil water and make tea. Some of the kitchen utensils and equipment are old and need updating. That said, we would all return and enjoyed our time there.updating.
