I would not recommend staying at this hotel, where the standards have deteriorated over the last 2-3 years. As a IHG Platinum Elite card holder and a global user of Holiday Inn hotels, I have to say this is the worst Holiday Inn hotel I have stayed at and I will not be returning to this hotel. My biggest issue was the cleanliness of my room (#332), more importantly the questionable cleanliness of the bedding upon arrival. Following a long flight from the UK, I arrived at 0400 in the morning, and I simply wanted to get to bed for a full day of meetings. Despite being a non-smoking room, the bedding smelt of cigarette smoke and it really didn't feel like I was getting into a clean bed. There was no fresh smell of wash detergents, which you'd expect from a 'clean' bed........ There was also musty smell in both the bedroom and bathroom - the bathroom also didn't feel like it had been cleaned with detergents. There had been work done in the room, but instead of re-papering, they put patches to cover any work - patchwork walls. This place is just dated and I doubt think they pay any attention to cleaning. There are far better places to stay in Dammam and I won't be returning in future.
Booked myself here for 3 nights. Stayed there for a night as if now, 2 more to go and I am not sure if I want to continue. The moment I entered the room, the smell of mold and dampness hit me. The room seemed clean enough, so it most probably is the AC which is at fault. The bathroom is tiny and the shower area barely has room over my head and I am not very tall! (5'7"). I had asked for a room on the first floor though there are only two floors (G+1), they said they dont have availibility although I barely saw any people around the hotel. I had asked for a change of room or upgrade but i was refused that, so much for being a "IHG Gold Elite" member. This is my 3rd time in Saudi and the previous stays were at Holiday Inn Khobar on the Old Airport road and that was much better in comparison. I may take a decision today to checkout of here and moving there unless I am given other alternatives. Quite disappointing.
I would not recommend this place. People at reception are not very friendly and don’t speak English particularly well for an hotel with international customers. The receptionist had to ask the porter to translate for him... Room are not very clean and the decoration is a bit outdated. Window was clearly not closing properly, making the room noisy and super warm. A/C was extremely noisy due to its old age. I would try to avoid this place in the future except if a massive refurbishment takes place.
Staff is freindly and good aircon was good Bathroom were very clean and tidy food quality is nice even i had try indian food also good, Buffet dinner good varieties Continental and Arabic as well overall experience well
The hotel is a good hotel for the price and is located near restaurants. Close by there are also a drugstore and a food store. Not far from Aramco and good access to highways to oilfield facilities. Can walk near the hotel for exercise and the hotel also has a gym and spa. Can be busy on the weekends.
Excellent hotel, good rooms but special thing is the sitting area near pool. This is excellent and very big area where you can seat and enjoy the time. Staff is good, breakfast is also excellent and has got very good variety. Its ideal for business as well leisure. It is not a multistory hotel, instead it has only two floors, it is more like a resort rather than hotel but still quite.
This is not the average high-rise tower hotel and i liked it. there are two courtyard inside with swimming pools and water features - very calming and nice place to sit and relax. I also worked there on my computer. Staff is fantastic, very professional, very attentive. Breakfast is huge selection and good quality, perhaps only coffee is not that good but I am really hard to please. Rooms are quite, conformable. This place ticked all the boxes for me and I will stay there again. Thanks guys, appreciate your help and hard work.
I stay at this property regularly due to its ideal location and ambiance. This time I planed to extend my stay longer and wanted to get a special/long stay rate but this is what I have gone through: I spoke with the front deck agent in the morning, she told me someone from Sales department will get in touch with me, no one contacted me during that day. The second day I followed up with the agent again, she gave me a business card of Laila, Sales Manager, I called but her phone was off. In the morning of the third day I met the newly appointed General Manager and explained to him my interest to extend my stay and the possibility of extending a long stay offer, he told me it's not up to him! it's up to the Sales and he will speak with them and get back to me. I had to decide weather to extend my stay or check out so I tried to get in touch with the Sales Manager, so I called the front office, they connected me to her and we agreed to meet in the lobby within minutes, minutes later I went from my room to the lobby and waited for about 25 minutes and then she showed up, we talked, she told me the GM has not spoken with her. She didn't extend any offer, she said I will get back to you just later. I extended my stay for three days more and now I am writing this from the same lobby. It's been four days since this has happened, I have not got a response from the sales manager neither have heard from the GM although he passes by me three times a day and see me without saying a word! I understand that the sales manager doesn't care because the GM himself doesn't care but I don't understand why a hotel, an IHG hotel GM wouldn't care about having more guests and more revenues! Why not at least act professionally and apologize for not being able to extend an offer. It's disappointing: All hotels are spending budgets on sales and marketing to have more guests and a guest is chasing an IHG hotel for an offer.
I usually stay for short period during my business visit to khobar, the hotel is quite full most of the weekdays, the team is great as usual, hospitality and service are remarkable, they usually offers welcome drink while checking in and a fruit platter inside the room. well done guys and thumb up for the great job!
This is a great place for a business trip. The rooms are excellent and the service is really good. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is not bad but could be improved, especially the way the seating is arranged. It feels regimented. Nevertheless, a really good hotel to visit!
