Welcome to Bellbird Bach - nestled amongst native bush in the peaceful Aylmers Valley. Relax amongst the tranquility and birdsong of the valley while only a 10 minute leisurely walk into the centre of Akaroa township.

Our spacious and well equipped kitchen has all that you need to prepare holiday meals. Open the dining bi-fold doors to let the outdoors in and enjoy the extension of the deck area.

Upstairs has two queen bedrooms and bunks sitting on the spacious landing area, bathroom and laundry station.

The Bellbird Bach is the Best!

Lisa and Paul's bach is perfectly situated between the town/beach and the waterfall on the outskirts of Akaroa on the Banks Peninsula. With an easy walk (via a bridge over the stream) to everything Akaroa has to offer and a short drive to all of Banks, it couldn't be in a better location in the woods and amongst the song birds yet north-facing and receiving a ton of sunlight. And the house itself is gorgeous and fun, with everything you need, nothing you don't need, and the perfectly sized for a couple or even several people. We were lucky enough to stay here for an extended period of time and recommend the home -- and Lisa and Paul who will make sure you are well taken care of -- with the greatest possible enthusiasm. Stay here if you can! And take good care of the Bellbird Bach : )

Bellbird Bach

We loved our stay. The Bach was beautiful and conveniently located. We loved the ability to fully open the walls of doors and window - such a beautiful space. The bedrooms were comfortable and cozy. The hosts were friendly and very responsive. I highly recommend this home.
