Start with the positives. The beach is clean and the food was good (but not a lot of choice at the buffet). The other big positive is that we only stayed one night. The negatives: - they book you in to rooms that are too small for your family and make no apology and are really slow to resolve - the service everywhere is incredibly slow especially at the beach bar - you need professional ear plugs to sleep through the noise of the air conditioning in the bed rooms - the Life guards don’t seem to watch the pool at all... - ...and by the way the pool is very small for the size of the hotel - the towels and most of the amenities are really old and tired - I got bitten by something really mean three times in the hotel lobby - not enough pest control I really do not understand the positive reviews. It is a hotel that is desperately in need of some investment and good management.
The place is not bad, it’s quite old. The pool is small and crowded all the time, not that clean (because of the number of people who used it that time). It’s beside the beach, perfect area to relax, sunbath, read books or meditate. We did not try the breakfast, so no idea if it’s good or not. The room is okay but it was humid when we visited so it gets moisten easily. Staffs are helpful. They don’t serve alcohol, can’t remember if it specifically on that day only or they at all do not serve any alcohol, you might want to check first in the hotel when planning.
We (with a full of energy child aged 11) are just back from UAE after a holiday of 8 days. Originally, we were looking for a hotel in Dubai on the beach but prices were very high. Then we widened the search and found Kempinski in Ajman. It was good choice. For us a holiday means warm sea, beach, and pool. All is perfect at the Kempinski. The hotel’s beach is one of the best beaches we ever saw, it compares to Thailand or Cancun. White sand, not crowded, enough beds. We spent three days in Dubai looking at the Creek, Burj al Khalifa, Atlantis Waterpark, Jumeirah beach, malls etc. The hotel is perfect for this as well, there are three shuttle buses including one leaving at 10.00 in the morning and coming back at 21.00 from the Mall of Emirates, leaving a day to sightsee in Dubai. In case you take a taxi, the ride from the Dubai central costs about 100 dirhams, which is about 25 euros back to the hotel. On workdays don’t go towards Dubai between 7,00-9,00 and towards Ajman between 16,30-20,30 as traffic is really a nightmare. I recommend buying supplement for half board as the dinner is good, with thematic dishes every day. The hotel has an Indian and an Italian restaurant as well, that you can also use for half board, but there the use of the half board coupon will not be enough for a full dinner like in the self-service restaurant. The prices in the hotel are high, it is the Emirates and it is Kempinski… We had a change in our flights due to Qatar Airways not flying to Dubai, so we had to rebook to Turkish Airlines, we arrived earlier and left later than planned, the hotel’s Reception was really helpful in giving us an early check in and late check out (for a smaller fee). We also had a misunderstanding around the booking of the child but the Hotel’s Reservation team solved it in a “customer friendly way”. Thanks to Thei from reservation for that! Ajman is very small there is not much to see, but the next Emirate Sharjah has some nice mosques, waterfront, souks and so on, you can spend a day there seeing these.
My second time in Emirates. Me and my friends had been recommended to stay with Kempinski. The hotel is not new, but in general everything is fine. All the rooms from 3rd floor plus have sew-view. I stayed in Superior, my friends in Signature. This is a place to relax. Very quiet, no activities at all - suitable for quiet relaxed holidays when you do not need to hurry anywhere. Suitable for elder people and families with kids, as the beach is great and the sea is shallow for quite a distance. The beach is cleaned every morning. The food was quite good, every evening something new and special. Very friendly personnel all around. In general we liked this hotel and time spent there.
I stayed with my family and friends in this place back in 2008, can't say anything bad, everything was superb and every member of the staff made sure that we had the best time possible. Sports bar inside was a really nice addition as well;) Not to mention i was celebrating my birthday during the stay and after coming back from the beach, I found freshly made cake with a birthday wishes note from the manager of the hotel. Later on i was told that the birthday dinner was covered by the hotel as well. Class act, hats off, I'll be definitely coming back.
Me and my wife this October, from October 6 to 13, we were already on the fourth UEA holiday, now at the Kempinski Hotel in Ajman and it was clearly our best vacation in the UAE. With a quiet conscience I can recommend this hotel to other tourists. Location of the hotel The hotel is located in Ajman, right by the open sea. The distance to Dubai's main airport is about 25 km (journey approx. 40 min.). The hotel is positioned so that the sun comes out behind the hotel, creating a pleasant shade, which you rate at the Café Kranzler's outdoor restaurant, located near the beach. The building has 8 floors, fully air-conditioned, with three well-functioning lifts and is in the shape of an elongated letter "Z". The hotel, the rooms, the restaurants and the beach have enough quick free Wi-Fi throughout. The hotel sends a free shuttle bus to Dubai (Dubai Mall) via Sharjah (Blue Souk) and Deira (City Center) 3 times a day (10 a.m,, 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.). Must reserve place in advance at the hotel reception. The return trip to the hotel is organized by everyone. When you want go shopping at Sarjah - Blue Souk, I note that the stores are closed there up to 4:30 p.m. or 5 p.m. I recommend using a taxi to Al Wahda Street, where are the cheap stores as Al Wahda Discount Center, Gift Market, Marjan Center.... The taxi route back from Sarjah to the hotel will be max. 30 Drh, from Dubai about 130 Drh. A good rate of EUR 1 is about 4.2 Drh and more. German and Russian clientele predominates. The hotel also has a beautifully landscaped garden with cobbled streets suitable for evening walks. The hotel is quiet, discotheques are not organized or animated evening shows. True relaxation. Rooms Several room categories - Superrior or Deluxe with canopy bed - romantic. A small Laguna Room is also available around the pool. All rooms of the hotel are situated overlooking the sea (in the city are just the corridors of the hotel - a generous solution!). Most rooms have a covered terrace with seating for two with beautiful sea views. In rooms operating air conditioning, manually adjustable to the required room temperature. There is a capsule coffee machine, instant Nescafé, tea, sugar and milk. Daily bottled water is added - 4 pieces of smaller bottles per room. Refrigerator in Deluxe rooms and free safe. Satellite TV. King size or twin beds, mattresses on the beds are nice. There is also a hairdryer in the room. Bathroom with shower or bath and shower, toilet, bidet, bathrobes, enough towels, including soap and shampoo. Restaurants and bars In the main restaurant, Café Kranzler, is buffet style restaurant for breakfast as well as lunch or dinner. Every day dinners are organized in some national style. This restaurant is divided into three rooms, the main room with a buffet is air conditioned, another part of the restaurant is open, cooled by electric fans mounted in rows on the ceiling, and the third part of the restaurant is on a large terrace with umbrellas, right next to the beach - unforgettable atmosphere during brekfast!!! There are other specialized ala carte restaurants, such as the Indian restaurant BUKHARA, where food is served directly in front of guests' eyes and offers real gastronomic goodness. Another Italian restaurant SABELLA'S is the perfect place to experience the Italian way of life. At half-board, the hotel displays vouchers for food (beverages are paid separately) and it is for the guest whether to use the voucher in the Café Kranzler Restaurant for lunch or dinner without an additional payment for food or voucher is valid in other ala carte restaurants in SABELLA S and the Indian Restaurant BUKHARA, as well as ZANZI BAR, but up to its value and the difference in the price of the meal is then paid for, including drinks. To cover the price of drinks consumed and other spending, the hotel requires a credit card (not a debit card !!). Then the host of the bill just countersigns the account and confirms the total spend on departure. In case the guest does not have a credit card, these expenses are paid in cash in Drh. The hotel runs an additional 7 bars. The most interesting is ZANZI BAR, which is located on the beach and offers seafood, fish and other specialties. There is a pool bar also. Beach and sea One of the most beautiful beaches in the UAE !!! Open sea with the ebb and flow, white sand on the beach, in the afternoon the sand was already burning, need to have slippers. In the sea is clean and enough warm water. Best bathing in the morning before breakfast. The afternoons are sometimes waves depending on the wind conditions. After the tide there is no grass on the beach !!! Gradual entry into the sea, sandy bottom, no need for shoes in the water. There are palm trees on the beach, with comfortable deck chairs (350 pieces) for two or four people with fixed sun umbrellas free of charge - enough space around the deck chairs offers much more privacy than in other resorts where the deck chairs are wearing. Unlimited towels free. There are beach showers and changing rooms complete with showers, toilet and sanitary facilities. The beach opens at 7.00 am and closes at 6 pm - with the Sunset. The beach is clean every day, the deck chairs are laid down under fixed sun umbrellas, have a pleasant mattress with a pillow under the head. Places on the beach are occupied first on the right side of the beach (more palms),the number of sun loungers both on the beach and the pool will satisfy all guests. During the day on the beach, the "Beach Buggy" rides and offers fruit cocktails and chilled beverages. Swimming pool The swimming pool is located in front of the hotel building so that it is in the shade all morning. It is divided into two parts - for children with a paddling pool and a large canvas to protect children from sunshine in the afternoon. The water temperature in the pool is very pleasant - refreshing. Sufficient number of sun loungers and parasols around the pool. Pool bar recessed in the pool with a wide range of drinks and cocktails. The pool has no slides. At the pool are showers and a fully equipped changing room. On one side of the pool there are "laguna rooms" and a children's club. Luxury spa, fitness center and sports facilities The hotel also features a luxurious spa offering a wide range of spa treatments and wellness experiences. The fitness center offers a wide range of aerobic and strength training equipment, including treadmills, exercise bikes, free weights, including a professional trainer's supervision. There is also a "Cosmic Bowling" with six tracks and a karaoke room. The hotel offers individual tennis lessons, the 18-hole golf course in the newly opened Al Zorah Golf Club, about 10 minutes away. driving from the hotel. Personnel The staff at both the reception and the restaurant, including the room staff, were very kind, helpful and communicative. Thanks to hotel staff, especially to Boris, Supun and Nazin in the Café Kranzler restaurant. Special thanks to Mrs Kerstin. We will be happy to come back to this hotel.
We stayed at ajman kempinski and was put down with the service...guess they are cost cutting on water as they give only four small bottles for a,day and more is chargeable...rooms weren't clean...bathroom glasses were stained.... it's high time for a renovation.... Positive side the hotel has a private beach and a good size pool....
Alone with my 12 years old duaghter a great moment with teh private beach and swiming pool always free place. The Breafkfast is really amasing with the yogourth and choice The hotel still keep some bar as it was 17 years ago my second visit but really GOOD and staff is very smiling Thnaks
My wife and I stayed here for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon. We had a lovely room with a balcony and a nice sea view. The hotel is large and spacious, and the breakfast buffet was nice, varied and plentiful. We enjoyed a fantastic evening meal in the Indian Restaurant and also joined in with Iftar one evening, since we were staying there during Ramadan. The grounds are just OK - we spend most of our time on the quiet and secluded private beach - unfortunately my wife's flip-flops were stolen from the beach on our first day! We had fantastic customer service before and during our stay at this hotel - so special mention to Luca and to Roxiane for their attentiveness and great service! :)
We had a short stay for 5 nights in Ajman Kempinski Hotel in April 2016. This hotel is located a little bit far from Dubai Airport and City of Dubai, approximately 30-45 min. But if you want a beach holiday it is a perfect location. The hotel has the longest private sand beach. The restaurants offer very tasty meals. If you decide to visit Dubai there is a free shuttle bus service from the hotel during the day. The last shuttle starts from Mall of Emirates at 11:00PM as I remember.
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Free valet and self parking
- Onsite dining
