Rooms were clean and a good size, with the usual range of facilities. Customer service was lacking in something. We tried to have lunch at one of the cafes and the whole ordering process was slow and confused, even though there was only one other couple in the restaurant. Same experience trying to order drinks at the pool bar. In the end we cancelled one of the drinks after waiting 20mins. The hotel advertises 6 dining options, but 3 of them were closed when we were there, which was not communicated during booking or check-in. The hotel is beautifully decorated but a bit soul-less, with no atmosphere. The pool area is nice, but they have a bit of a problem with guests ''reserving'' sunbeds by placing their towels on them and then not using them. When we did eventually find sunbeds, a guest had left a dirty nappy underneath one of them. We spent some time on the beach, which is beautiful and very long. For some reason, the hotel had placed a security guard on the beach in the middle of the day, 45degrees with no shade. That's just cruel. What he was supposed to be guarding I have no idea. Overall it was okay, but not the usual level of luxury or service you get from Kempinski HOtels.

A nice place to relax in weekend , all rooms have a sea view , we stayed there 3 times , the beach is a place of serenity , a great place to relax , Zanzibar restaurant on the beach was amazing , breakfast was amazing , pool bar was great , very clean place and very professional and friendly staff ..

Loved this resort like hotel for its clean sandy beach and spacious and well appointed rooms. My three year old son loved the beach and children's pool so much so that he spent an entire half day playing in the pool. In case you are traveling with small children, there's even a kids club on site. Very friendly and courteous staff and responsive room service and housekeeping. However, the same can't be said about all the front office staff. Most of them have been extremely friendly except for the gentlemen who was on the floor - managing the floor. We loved our stay here so much that we ended up making another booking for the following weekend. However, the second time, we were not greeted with a cold towel or a welcome drink.

Where BEYOND Par Excellence Customer-Service is rendered on Foods, Teas, Coffees, Stomach-Progress Pampering, Bowling, Billiards, etc and even the warmth of every Staff'Smiles .... THINK OF KEMPINSKI HOTEL. (You can samples of a lot of happy moments i have captured... well, just to show you a few). Thanks to these Highly Commendable Customer-Service Performers inSabela's: Ms. Aileen, Chefs Brian/Boris/Fahad/Everyone, Ms. Nazeem (Nazym?), Front Desk Regstration Officer Mr. Ali and PRO Basha. We kept coming back not only once, twice.. but so many times already. I call it Sabela's Craze Fever! #KeepPressingOnwardToGreaterHeights

Nice hotel. Calm and relaxing. Amazing sandy beach with crystal clear water. Amazing breakfast buffet. Indian restaurant is one of the best in AD. Not a luxurious hotel if you are after luxury. It's my new runaway relaxing spot.

On a quick weekend getaway to Ajman, i skipped the slew of up and coming hotel properties in the area and decided to stay at the Kempinski in Ajman. A hotel that is widely regarded amongst the insiders of the hotel industry. The property seems to still be popular with European tourists. Sure it's a bit dated but it maintains a charm that is hard to find amongst the high-rises and over-priced buildings that pass for hotels in the UAE. Check in was quick, efficient and the lovely German front desk staff member whose name i will remember at some point was gracious enough to upgrade me to a deluxe sea view room. I'll be honest in saying i didn't expect much, but the room seems to have been recently renovated, the amenities were excellent [who wouldn't love black slippers] and despite the bars in the hotel, the noise level was perfectly quiet. Someone had accidentally left the balcony door open which meant the room was more humid than a Saudi Desert, but i won't quibble too much on that. The hotel grounds can do with some work [pool, breakfast buffet was poorly attended] but the staff in general were courteous, and the ocean view was a breath of fresh air. The live music at 1897 was excellent, and the staff were hospitable without being intrusive. Bravo to one of the staple hotels in the UAE.

I actually expected more from the hotel and the only word that comes to mind is average. We booked a premier room on the upper floors to have a better view of the ocean, which was nice. Everytime we opened the balcony door, the humidiy and heat caused the floors to become slippery and we almost fell a number of times, maybe a rug or two could prevent this. The restaurant at breakfast could not accommodate the number of guests which led to a spillover in the adjoning restaurant, the managers in the restaurant basically just stood around doing nothing while guests stood in line waiting to be seated. The guy cleaning the room stole aed 5 that I left on the counter so please do be careful even with small amounts of money.

They made our day amazing, we went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Lady recipient manager was amazing she helped us to check in fast and she sends us a special cake to celebrate our anniversary from the hotel. we enjoined every moment in the hotel.

We spent four lovely days soaking up the sun, eating splendid food and simply being pampered. Everyone soon learned our names which made us feel really special. The staff was always friendly helpful and attentive.

We booked for August 31- sept 1 through booking.com. we got the half board offer at a cheap rate but there were some issues since our kids are 12 and 13. So we paid extra for one kid and were told the younger child's dining will be extra. Always good to read the fine print of the booking details. The hotel doesn't look as good as in the photos. It's a bit dated. The superior sea view room we got is rather small and claustrophobic. Always better to choose a room that's at least 56 sq m or so when it's more than 2 people. To top it, there was a problem with the AC and the floor remained moist and slippery. We complained only in the morning after a restless night. I guess the moisture in the air added to the discomfort. They said it was a general problem because the balcony door is opened and quickly sent someone to mop the floor. He set the AC and after that it was ok. Only the café kranzler offers buffet and a full free meal for dinner for you booking, Bukhara the Indian restaurant offers a la carte for a price. Food was ok though not too much variety. The desserts were very good. Better to remember that bottled water or any juice they offer to get you is charged. Breakfast is only buffet and was very good, the was the very south Indian idiappam egg curry. The beach is very good and we had a good time in the waters, the pool was a hit with the kids. But there are small black ants that bite near the beach and on the recliners, so one has to be careful while sun bathing.
