Hotel is located at a quite place around 15-20 mins walk from center/Bus Station. Offers free parking breakfast was included and was decent. Staff was helpful. Rooms are decently sized and have all basic amenities. It is a budget hotel and serves accordingly. Comfortable option.

As several others have noted, this is a really good option for a one or two night stopover. Easy access to the A8 and very importantly ample secure parking . The rooms are functional yet comfortable and quite spacious. We thought that the breakfast was very good and reasonably priced, though did not try the restaurant as it was a Sunday night and the choice was pretty poor and seemed quite pricy. Instead we walked the 10 minutes to the Courtpaille nearby, which of course is not cordon bleu, but always reliable.

A modern, clean room with a large bathroom, free off road parking and a good breakfast the next day - this hotel provides everything for a short stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Took the number 8 bus into the centre- bus stop just near the hotel.

A hotel with no particular character. Ample free parking. Friendly, welcoming staff. Clean room and bathroom. The downside is that it's outside the town and a fair old walk into town which means the restaurant has a captive audience. The food, unfortunately, is mediocre at absolute best. A hotel closer to town, or even in town, would offer the same, or more, pluses, including easier access to better food.

Nice hotel with free parking. Rooms are nice, shower is spectacular. Maybe bed pillows are not that comfortable. Breakfast was just ok: for the asked price I expect better. It's not close to the center, but it's very close to the highway exit. If you're driving, it could be a good solution to spend the night and continue the trip the day after.

First rate place! Stayed for a couple of days while we toured the region. Easy to hit to from the highway. Very clean and quiet. Lots of perks. Restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff were all very friendly.

One of my best friends decided to marry his fiancé in Aix and my partner and I needed somewhere to stay that was close to the town centre and wedding venue. This hotel was really well located, the rooms were clean and showers/wet room fantastic. The wifi was really fast and free as was the parking outside. The staff at the hotel are tremendously helpful and really friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast was very good especially the pain au chocolate and coffee. The swimming pool was really pleasant and nicely cleaned and had excellent sun loungers however the hotel does back on to the main road in to Aix so this meant that there was a slight murmur from the road traffic whilst sunbathing (some low level music would help by the pool to distract people from the traffic noise). Overall the hotel was fantastic and great value for money. The staff were excellent, very polite and very well trained. If you do need an iron there is one at reception as are fresh pool towels every day, just ask and the staff will get you them. The staff all speak a really good standard of English which helped as I speak very little French. I would definitely return to Aix and stay at the Escale Oceania, I really enjoyed my stay, thanks to all the staff at the hotel.

A lovely hotel, just off the main road though quiet. Free (and ample) parking is definitely a bonus, and the pool, though small, was not busy the day we used it, on our Sunday arrival. The beds are comfortable and the showers are good, but Escale deserves 5 stars because of its staff. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and willing to help you with anything you need. Housekeeping do an amazing job with the rooms leaving them spotless and well presented. Reception were excellent in dealing with my poorly translated requests, and the F&B team equally so. We cheekily enjoyed bottles of wine we'd bought from a local vineyard on the terrace without so much as a questioning look from the hotel team - even providing ice buckets, glasses and a corkscrew! Breakfast has decent variety and is great value at €8, though we didn't otherwise eat in the restaurant besides a cheeseboard on our last night, which was very good. Highly recommended.

The hotel looks quite tired on approach and from the outside. Staff were welcoming and there was no problem with my booking. Access was easy by car and there was free parking, so that is a definite advantage over city centre hotels which are difficult to access with both traffic and tight streets. The bedroom was small but the double bed was very comfortable in my room, and the room was clean. The shower was efficient, and again clean. The restaurant did not have much choice for food, and I found it disappointing. I ate on the first night and would be unlikely to eat there again. The breakfast choice was OK (perhaps a bit limited against expectations but still a fairly large buffet with something for everyone), but was reasonably priced to match it. The main problem with the hotel is the location that is too far from the city centre, so it is a long walk about 30 mins to find somewhere nice to eat in the evening. I stayed there on business, so didn't sample the pool.

Clean, modern and quite (despite being close to the highway). We didn't eat here but within a 3 minute walk are several restaurants and a mini market. The staff were very friendly especially Gancho. Wi-Fi was included but the speed was just OK. Free outdoor parking was very useful. Overall, excellent stay and value. No fridge or iron in the room. Will stay here again without hesitation.
